    Great progress on the loft space and I love your color choices for it, too. The French Gray is so pretty! Excellent choices. 😀

    Things are getting exciting and making such progress! I’m keeping my fingers crossed they finish before you give birth! But either way you will ultimately end up with a wonderful and precious baby boy and a new loft space, regardless of any date on the calendar! A little designer tip, to keep smaller spaces looking larger, pick curtains similar to the wall color so it doesn’t stop the visual flow. So if you’re not sure about your curtain choice you can play it safe and blend in with the walls. Or go super bold and find a patterned fabric that has all your colors incorporated in it! Endless options and a perfect spot to go completely wild or go low key! You can’t go wrong if it resonates with you! Such an exciting time! 😃😃😃

    It's really hard to get a sense of scale from the loft at the moment - you'll probably find it is fact bigger than it looks once you start putting things into it.

    It’s looking really good! I am not sure if I missed this before but I am curious to know if this style of home has a basement?

    • @lilypebbles
      @lilypebbles  3 года назад +2

      No, it’s not that common to have a basement in London as far as I’m aware.

    What kind of storage you going for? Normal closet space like or "tailord made" units to max. the space?

    • @lilypebbles
      @lilypebbles  3 года назад +2

      Our builder will make the cupboard for us so they’re built in, and we’re going to make them for storage for now. One day they may have to be changed internally into wardrobes.

    Seems like a lot of creators doing renos are using Ca Pietra. Have you used them elsewhere in the house? Wondering how good the products are for longevity.

    • @lilypebbles
      @lilypebbles  3 года назад +1

      We have them in our bathrooms and front step. I try to choose materials like porcelain for longevity and ease for cleaning and they’ve lasted well so far

      @@lilypebbles good to know! Especially since those are high traffic areas, you’d definitely be able to tell by now if they weren’t going to last. Thank you ☺️

    Can an English person please explain to me why you put carpet on stairs?? It makes them soo slippy and dangerous to walk on!! I can never understand the brits' obsession with carpet EVRYWHERE 🙄

    • @JulieM-bx1ou
      @JulieM-bx1ou 3 года назад

      Because we want to and we like to live dangerously 🙄

    • @KayyeJ
      @KayyeJ 3 года назад +5

      I’ve never found carpet to be slippy, clearly as a nation we don’t find them dangerous, perhaps it’s how you walk. Having carpets helps insulate rooms and it much more comfortable underfoot in a colder house.

    • @lilypebbles
      @lilypebbles  3 года назад +2

      Because it’s cold here most of the year and it’s cosy. We have wood flooring downstairs and carpet in the bedrooms etc. I’ve had wood flooring in my bedroom before and it just felt cold and hard most the year. It’s just preference and I think depends on style of the home. For our flat, wooden floors worked better.

    • @MoniqueARuiz
      @MoniqueARuiz 3 года назад +5

      I’m an American with hardwood stairs and I’ve slipped SO many times on them. Sprained my foot last year on them even! As soon as we can afford, we’re putting a carpet runner.

    • @alicerichardson6362
