Hi @lunarninja76, There are two ways to import video as your viewport background. The first method is simply drag a video to the viewport, and it will automatically become a backdrop. The second method is: Go to “Edit > Project Settings > 2D Background > Load”, then you can load the background video. If you RMB drag the video to iClone, you can choose to make it an image plane, decal, or background video. If you directly drag it to an object, it can will become a video texture. In case your video is not support, try installing K-Lite video codec for windows: manual.reallusion.com/iClone_7/ENU/Content/iClone_7/Pro_7.4/11_Set/Video/Applying_Videos_into_Texture_Channels.htm
Rotoscoping is when you trace a video to make an animation. Not sure if there are different terms for 3D animation or not, but this is what we'd call rotoscoping in traditional 2D hand drawn animation.
Good job! 🫡
Please make any door animation in Iclone 8
How to add video in a scene when i import it makes it as background

@reallusion yeah problem solved on support I had codec missing
I think using tools like Plask is much easier than this method. But this is my personal opinion about it.
@@_Clivey Also Rokoko has a free service for video based animation capture. Integration with that inside IC8 will be supercool as well.
Great video but isn’t this technique rotomation not rotoscoping?

sorry but with the progress of AI I have the impression that your methods are archaic
