Hi I'm using the s8 where I use face unlock most of the time. If the face unlock is the same or better in the iPhone, then the face unlock is really fast. Most times the face scanner unlocks my phone really fast no problem.

My iPhone already has a classy glass back and metal edges (4s). The 4s was a great piece of design, but of course doesn't have some of the latest features that I will have to upgrade to soon I suppose
I'm surprised many people in the comments don't like this design because this model is actually my favorite one to date. To be fair the white color doesn't do it justice, I think judging by the glossy material that this phone will look much better in black. The glass back and the chrome edges look more classier. The larger screen to phone size ratio is much more practical than buying a larger phone for a larger screen with bulkier edges. The only thing I didn't like with this model is how the white edging on the front facing cameras is awkwardly placed. They should have just extended the edges instead of keeping the corners bare. It's not like the corners are going to be actively used or even touched, so the design doesn't feel effective. It will also distract users when playing games or watching movies. I don't even know how notifications will be placed when the edge stands in the way. I feel like the majority will purchase this model in black so the awkward top edges are less visible with the black screen when turned off.

As I own the black xiaomi mi mix I must say that when you look at it you forget how tiny the bezel is because that black pretty much always blends in with the background like on any other phone therefore I regret I didn't get the white one that constantly reminds you how beautiful of a phone it is because of it's contrast to the background

Just a warning; the 7 will probably run worse when the 8 comes out. Apple purposely slow their older devices down to make the new ones seem better and so you get one. Not saying you shouldn't get one, but just a warning about it.
I'm currently really happy with my iPhone SE. I also liked the iPhone 4 I owned before this. I use an iPad and a Macbook as well. Apple really knows how to make really good products.

It really seems like each one of the new iPhone's is getting just a little less and less impressive each year. Apple used to be about innovation and sleek and simple design, now it seems like they are just trying to play catch up with everyone else.
Truth be told, they aren't really great innovators it seems like. They are better at plain old inventing. All their new products have been revolutionary, it's just subsequent models don't do much different. The last big changes really occured with the iPhone 4

Since the Iphone 4 they have made the screen bigger and added a fingerprint sensor. I got an iPhone 7 and it is well worth the buy even if it doesn't have a jack it comes with an adapter plus you can just get wireless headphones. Camera is awesome too

If my two month old phone can't beat out a two and a half year old iPhone 6S in basic tasks, I would consider the software to be utter shit. It's been a good 7 year run with Android but, I might be switching over to Apple for my next phone. I'm starting to think reliability and speed is not worth sacrificing over changing a few icons.
Firstly the name is not confirmed by Apple, and also the iPhone has reached the end of the 3 generation design scheme. Notice how the 6, 6S & 7 are very similar design, they are supposed to change this every 3 generations so it would make sense to advance a whole number as this phone doesn't have the same design.

Aly Millane On the new iPhone 8, the home button is going to be integrated into the the bottom of the touch screen. So the button will be fake kinda like the iPhone 7 was but on the screen rather than the bezel.

It probably won't show you your face. Apparently it has an insanely wide angle for being able to scan your face and can even scan your face while sitting flat on a table and can tell if you're paying attention to it so it won't unlock until you pick it up.

It's new, and it's something that Apple has never made before, so ofc there's gonna be apprehension over the design. Just a warning; the 7 will probably run worse when the 8 comes out. Apple purposely slow their older devices down to make the new ones seem better and so you get one. Not saying you shouldn't get one, but just a warning about it.

It really seems like each one of the new iPhone's is getting just a little less and less impressive each year. Apple used to be about innovation and sleek and simple design, now it seems like they are just trying to play catch up with everyone else.
Truth be told, they aren't really great innovators it seems like. They are better at plain old inventing. All their new products have been revolutionary, it's just subsequent models don't do much different. The last big changes really occured with the iPhone 4

I'm still running my 6 from when it first came out. Really can't be bothered to lose a proper headphone jack and unfortunately for apple, it's well built enough to last years without replacing. Still a great phone.
I got an iPhone 7 and it is well worth the buy even if it doesn't have a jack it comes with an adapter plus you can just get wireless headphones. Camera is awesome too

Ok that's really REALLY exaggerating. If you only had an option for an iPhone and a Nokia you would choose the iPhone and so would almost 99% of other people. Also most of you might not know but renders always look horrible, and the one mkbhd is holding is a prototype so it's not completely the final design, so there's still a chance the iPhone will not be ugly.
I was an iPhone person for a long time and still love Apple but traded in my 6S+ and I got a Samsung S8+ and honestly after these renders and everything I'm happy with my choice

I wouldn't get your hopes up. Reveal date is like 1.5 months from now. There's no time to change things up at this point. They're being drilled and assembled in Shenzhen as we speak, most likely. Also, case makers are receiving these so the design won't change physically. It's about a 99.9999% chance a done deal. You never know though haha.

You know, I own an Galaxy S8+ and when that phone had its model leaked, it looked fucking ugly. There was a logo at the bottom of the chin, the camera bump was way too much and the sides looked unnecessarily glossy. And back then, all the Android fanboys claimed that "it's just a model," and that "the final version will look much better." Now, it's one of the most beautiful phones I've held. (software is shit though)
And now, once they see the model for the iPhone 8, they immmediately lose their shit saying that it's ugly even though I'm pretty sure they know that the final version will look better than this.

If my two month old phone can't beat out a two and a half year old iPhone 6S in basic tasks, I would consider the software to be utter shit. It's been a good 7 year run with Android but, I might be switching over to Apple for my next phone. I'm starting to think reliability and speed is not worth sacrificing over changing a few icons.

Notice how the 6, 6S & 7 are very similar design, they are supposed to change this every 3 generations so it would make sense to advance a whole number as this phone doesn't have the same design.
