I'm absolutely disappointed with apples decision to cut down the battery while putting in power draining features (not even 120hz lol). Apple better have some alien technology that lets us get 120hz and 5g and all the bells and whistles without the 30 minutes - 1 hour battery dropoff compared to iphone 11. And that difference is without taking into account 5g.

I always pop to Apple and get them to put on a belkin invisi glass for £20 as i suck at putting them on. When i got my 12 i didnt even take it out the box until i got to my local Apple store. These phones are too expensive to use naked! I did the same with my Xs, I took the protector off to sell yesterday and it had a couple of cracks on the protector, but the screen underneath was immaculate, no surface scratches or anything. They work well! - plus they are life time guarantee so you just get Apple to keep putting new ones on every time you get a crack or scratch. To be honest would be nice to see these pre-installed now.

I think you would not know that HLG is a form of HDR (so when i say HLG/HDR it means same in this text) which is better than Dolby vision in terms of compatibility. What does market share have to do with what phone is good? Like if that was true then Toyota Camry is the best car and RR Ghost (by RR i mean Rolls Royce) is the worst.. like.. i don't see logic in your sarcasm.
I have an SE 2016 (which has the same edges as the 5 and 5S) and an iPhone 12 Pro. The iP12 is much flatter; the SE has chamfered edges and a display that sorta sticks up from the enclosure. I think that’s why he called it super flat.

I bought mine about 2 months ago and I’ve gotta say I was coming from an iPhone XS and the screen size felt like it was gonna be a deal breaker for me, but after getting used to it, it has become the perfect phone size, if you’re getting it I would recommend to go for bold text in settings and maybe making text size a bit bigger which will help visibility, battery life is decent and the cameras are ridiculously good 👍 all in all very happy with my purchase
I feel like apple is slowly trying to find a way to have every accessory for iphones bought separately to where the only thing you get in the box is the phone.

It’s 2022 and I just bought a fully refurbished iPhone 12. The price was half the price of a new one in 2020. I don’t need the latest and greatest, but I do like the 12’s features. I’m moving from and iPhone into the 12. Big improvement!
Related to that, am I the only person who would never think of putting their phone face-side down on a surface? I'm sure years ago Marques briefly explained why he does, but all I can think is, "won't that just scratch the screen? Why would I care about scratches on the back?!"

I like it how all the tech youtubers are supporting each other so nicely. Like how mrwhosetheboss has featured MKBHD in his iphone video and some other videos and here how MKBHD talks about the scratch resistance and talks about zerryrig. They dont consider each other as competitors rather they talk about each others like they're colleagues.
I feel like the tech community is the best on yt out of all communitites. Look at the gaming community, everyone tries to outsmart each other with consoles, games, hot takes etc In the car community, everyone acts as if they are the only channes that makes car content, there arent many collabs at all. But here in the tech community, big channels treat other big channel with respect, and small channes always shout out each other to help the grind. I kinda love this community

Just upgraded from my 7 which I had for 2.5 years, and the difference for me is night and day. Love the camera (low light, ultra wide, bokeh etc). Screen is so quick and clear. Love my 12. Just got to buy a case now

Charging speed isn’t dependent on MagSafe case but you have to use the MagSafe wireless charger with a 20 watt (or above) brick to get the 15 watts. Any thin case is fine
Efficiency of the IPT system is inversely proportional to the distance between the coils. That said, I think the iPhone will still be able to pull its full rated charge if the charger is rated high enough to pick up the slack (though there are also thermal limitations iirc).

I bought mine about 2 months ago and I’ve gotta say I was coming from an iPhone XS and the screen size felt like it was gonna be a deal breaker for me, but after getting used to it, it has become the perfect phone size, if you’re getting it I would recommend to go for bold text in settings and maybe making text size a bit bigger which will help visibility, battery life is decent and the cameras are ridiculously good 👍 all in all very happy with my purchase

Isn't 15 watt already one of the slowest wireless charging speeds already in that price range ?, dropping from that would be even worse
depends on the brick you use the magsafe disc is just a coil of wire on the end of a cable conected to the 5watt or 20watt brick you have to buy.
Charging speed isn’t dependent on MagSafe case but you have to use the MagSafe wireless charger with a 20 watt (or above) brick to get the 15 watts. Any thin case is fine
Efficiency of the IPT system is inversely proportional to the distance between the coils.
That said, I think the iPhone will still be able to pull its full rated charge if the charger is rated high enough to pick up the slack (though there are also thermal limitations iirc).
