    I enjoyed every knife test video you put out and I appreciated the amount of effort you put through to test these blades. I want to add my little experience and opinion. Yes, these knives are strong and can chop through 4 to 6 inches of log and then baton them into manageable size for fire wood. However, it takes too much effort and expanded too much energy to chop through logs instead I carry a 10 inches folding pruning saw in my backpack, when needed I use the saw the cut tree branches to sizes then baton the wood into smaller fire wood with knife. A small 8 to 10 inches folding saw doesn't take up much space in the backpack and weights hardly anything yet it will be most useful tool in survival situation.

      Thanks! Awesome comment! I carry a saw and an axe with me in my pack. A Silky and a Gransfors. Axe and saw is gold! Knife is a plus! All three is an absolute unbeatable combo!

    My pocket, for a while now its been the larger CJRB Pyrite in green Micarta; freeking amazing knife! This knife allowed me to trust button locks, its very solid really and opens as easy as it closes.

      Man that’s good news! I don’t trust button locks as of right now. Gonna have to check out reviews!

      @@LegionTacticoolCutlery I bought one from O-Light and is okay, but the aluminum scales make it hard to hang onto when things get wet, Micarta has no such issues. The CJRB buttons are almost perfect, I don't press it accidently while using the knife, and hitting it on the rear edge of blade against my desk does not cause it to close. I'm sure I could force a failure, but NOT in any form of normal usage. Showed it to my knife pards at breakfast the other day and they both wanted one.

    I have to say Gruggs, I am getting more and more impressed with Eafengrow everyday. I've had several of their flippers for a couple of years and they are awesome little knives. I used to swear by the larger Cold Steel knives, but the last few years have been a major disappointment in steel and finish for me in that company... especially for the money they charge (even the cheaper products)! It looks like Eafengrow is going to step into the affordable-big knife role in the market quite nicely and easily. Their offerings the last couple of years are getting more awesome with each release, thanks for giving them a real workout and discussing any problems you have with your community! Good on you, Gruggs!!!

      Thanks for the great comment! Yeah man Eafengrow is the new working man/working class knife company now and they are definitely excellent blades!

    I have inquired with EF company. They said that 2-3 years ago they were sold metal by an OEM that did not match the advertised such as D2 but it was 8cr13mov but now
    The company has changed production facilities and has improved quality to the point where they say they can test knives and if the metal doesn't match what's advertised, they'll lift the knives for free

      The modern day blades from Eafengrow are really great. I beat a many of these knives. I am seriously considering selling my expensive blades. The Eafengrow knives are performing as good as any expensive knife out there.

      @@LegionTacticoolCutlery
      I'm from Thailand and I know metal factory owners. They told me that Chinese companies can get such low prices because most of the metal production is in China, so it's no wonder that production costs are low. and can be sold at a good price. I have knives.
      There are many USA brands whose prices are much higher than EF, but the quality is very similar when compared to steel of the same type. But I think the refinement of the workmanship is better than EF's.

      @@gtyddofofodto me they do the same thing. In my opinion when you use a good knife you will not care about the company or country who makes it. Just my opinion. I love all knives and to each their own. I just want to show people on budgets they don’t have to spend a ton of cash to buy a high quality knife.

    Gruggs, the thwack of that blade hitting the wood, sounded like an AXE! Eafengrow ain't playin' around! EF is on par with knives that cost "twice" the price and more (in my humble opinion)...

    I decided to order some of those chunky Eafengrow blades, including this one. You do get a lot of bang for the buck. :) With any luck they’ll arrive before Christmas (in 65 days).

    Hey....i love it....but what do you choose between the EF131 or EF134....THANKS for you return !❤

    • @alexyu6928
      @alexyu6928 Год назад +3

      I have the EF131 and I can tell you that the tip on EF131 is the strongest and most robust tip I have ever seen on any knife. The EF134 also has a strong tip but not as much as that of the EF131. The blade shape of the EF131 lends itself to much more useful cutting edge than any style of tanto blade which mostly uses the transition point where the tanto tip meets the the straight portion of the edge. The straight handle of the EF131 is much more comfortable to hold and fits more hand sizes.
