You could use these syrups on mug cakes, ice cream, in coffees, teas, on whipped cream and lots of other treats. I don't believe they are for pancakes or waffles as an exclusive suggestion. I like marshmallows so the vanilla sounds good on ice-cream with chocolate or the carmel aka butterscotch. Wow lots of possibilities! Thank you Steve and Courtney for the video!

Your daughter is super cute! Love it when she’s in your videos. Thank you for this review since I was debating on these products. And having the blood glucose tests are so helpful. Very informative.
Hi, Steve! I found all the ChocZero syrups I tried to be incredibly delicious. But it raised my blood glucose by 40 points, so I rarely indulge! Thank you for this review. (The vanilla is great in coffee!)

Thanks for verifying the ingredients and for the review. I appreciate the honesty from both you and Courtney! I have not tried Choc Zero, but, now, I will! I can’t wait to have the Butterscotch 😉 , the Maples, and the Chocolate! I’ll be ordering through your links! I love me some chaffles!
Just ordered the tropical (mango, peaches, banana) and the regular (chocolate, maple, and caramel) bundles (free shipping over $35, that’s why)! I plan to use the tropical ones for icee treats! I’m on my 3rd day of fasting, so I’m now drooling for these!
I feel like y'all got hung up on the "syrup" and thinking specifically on pancakes but just off the top of my head I can think of Hershey's chocolate syrup which is for all sorts of desserts and drinks.
I enjoy when Courtney is with you she gives a good perspective for the non-keto person. So if she can tolerate it even 50% then our keto taste buds can handle it 100% 😊
Great review. i agree with your assessment. I use the strawberry in my protein shakes/smoothies and i love adding the choc syrup to coffee to make a blended mocha frappe!
Such an excellent review vid!! Having 2 or more people with different preferences is the biggest bang for the buck for viewers because we're more likely to find ourselves in there somewhere. Thank you Courtney for helping out! Thanks Steve for the BG readings as well! It does spike, but not much. Super helpful to know!
I’ve been looking forward to this review after I saw you use the choczero on your pancakes. I especially appreciate your giving suggested applications, so I don’t use the wrong syrup on my pancakes/waffles. 👍
I don't think these were created as syrups just for pancakes. I have used the chocolate, caramel and maple since I bought them together last spring. I love all of them, particularly on my homemade keto ice cream. They have always been sold out of vanilla when I've tried to buy it, so I am still waiting to get that. If I get the urge for something sweet, I eat a tablespoon of the chocolate; it's like fudge as Courtney says, and it satisfies the sweet tooth.
@Lisa Struck, would you mind sharing your homemade keto ice cream recipe. Iʻm new to this channel and this way of life...started about 3 weeks ago and been fumbling around trying to learn, and was so happy last week to find this channel with a lot of great ideas from his viewers. I have watched so many different channels and did not really like the others too much. Appreciate the assist.
@@gihula It's not my recipe, it's the recipe for Keto Vanilla Ice Cream from AllDayIDreamAboutFood.com. I used an ice cream maker for it, and it's very good.

Love ChocZero, tried it after your last syrup review and got like four bottles from Amazon, I wish I waited for this deal... I guess I just need to make more chaffles and pancakes now. I am glad you were able to establish a partnership with ChocZero.
Choc Zero Maple Vanilla and Maple Pecan and absolutely my favorite Keto friendly syrups. I love to use them on bacon also. Sadly, after using the syrups and testing with my Keto Mojo , I found my blood sugars were high and I was out of Ketosis and remained that way for most of the day. I don’t have high blood sugars normally and have stayed in nutritional Ketosis for the two years pretty regularly that I have been on Keto, so actually it surprises me to get those results. I will try them again at some point just to see it was just a fluke ( wishful thinking) and if I tolerate them better because I really do love them. I highly recommend them to anyone as long as you can eat them with no negative reactions. One recommendation, if you heat them in the microwave for a few seconds they pour easier without losing the thickness to much and you can get every last drop.
I love that you included a quick glucose measurement summary at the end. I would love if all glucose test videos were that brief! I have the strawberry and caramel syrups (from previous keto krate/box) and wasn’t blown away. But I will consider ordering the maple and maple pecan! I like that they are thick. My lakanto syrups taste great but pour like water and it’s a pain.
I learned about choczero as I came to the end of my keto Journey. So I never tried it and couldn't find it in the stores near me. When I looked online I thought it was a little too expensive for my taste. But I appreciate your honesty and trying this and when I am ready to come back to the keto lifestyle I will definitely look into some of these syrups.
About every 3 months I buy a big pack of ChocZero products. I haven't had the vanilla syrup, I agree the strawberry is not great, but caramel, maple pecan, maple and chocolate are great. I LOVE their white chocolate chips and all their chocolate products. Thanks for the review!
Thanks so much for this presentation...and the coupon code! Just ordered a few bottles from the Choc Zero website. Looking forward to enjoying them with some of your chaffle recipes! :)
I love your detailed flavor descriptions. Reminds me of wine tasting. I keep waiting for you to sniff the cap and cleanse your pallet. You both make my mouth water. Going to get me some!
I emailed ChocZero to give them a heads up that I was doing this video and that they should be prepared, but after 2 hours, they're already sold out of a few syrups. It appears that the person I emailed no longer works there... I would normally point folks to Amazon, but the prices there are $2 more per bottle (and that's before applying the SERIOUSKETO discount code).
Steve, I ordered the maple syrup on Amazon....I guess I should have read all the comments first :-). Next time, Iʻll go to ChocZero website. Thanks for coordinating a SERIOUSKETO discount code for us there.
I can tell you that BochaSweet really makes the pancakes what they are. I tried a batch with allulose to see if I could cut the costs and they tasted nowhere as good.

Most of our syrups are back in stock! The Mango, Peach, and Banana are seasonal so we definitely recommend purchasing them quickly before they sell out! 😊😋
The maple syrup tastes just like Mrs. Butterworths to me! Love it. And I think if you gave it to someone who did not know it was keto, they would never guess.
I love these syrups (i think they are close enough to the real thing so they work for me haha.) I do agree that not all of them belong on pancakes/waffles though. that being said there definitely is a place for each of them... and thank you for the article!!!
Thank you both for the review! I haven't tried the maple pecan or vanilla flavors, yet. Sounds like I might have to round out my collection. The idea that you seemed to be looking at all of them through the "pancake lens" was funny. I use the strawberry and chocolate (not at the same time) to drizzle over keto-cheesecake or other desserts. I probably never use a whole tablespoon, but they add a nice little extra flavor!
Hi Steve and Courtney; Great review! So good, in fact, I went on ChocZero website and every one of the syrups that you liked was sold out. The strawberry and vanilla were not. Great job ChocZero has got to love you guys!
@@cordybluejeans So I went back to ChocZero. They had the syrup, but I wanted to get some sugar free White Chocolate Chips. Guess what they are out of. So I get to wait.🙄
The Maple Pecan is my favorite. I have seen several recipes that use the vanilla in it. My son uses the chocolate in his almond milk for a chocolate drink.
I like the Choc Zero products and their syrups are my choice of syrup. As for the fruit flavored ones, I think using them in a 'milkshake' or protein shake might be good especially if you use an unflavored base protein. Also might use to flavor some of your keto crunch bars (perhaps the cookies & cream version). Luckily I have some syrup already since you've caused an exhaustion of their supply!
Thanks for the 10% discount! I’ve been wanting to try some of these - got the tropical 3-set b/c there’s a Keto coleslaw dressing recipe I’ve been wanting to try that uses the mango. Thought I’d try the banana to make a Keto “banana” bread. And thanks Courtney for your feedback on the chocolate fudge syrup. Am trying that one too.
Use the strawberry syrup for strawberry short cake. You can do a keto biscuit version and a chaffle version. Also you can also use the flavors in frostings. When I used to get pancakes at IHOP I always used allll the syrups. This reminded me of that. Boysenberry was always my favorite. Then strawberry. Tfs.
I love those syrups. I don’t use them often but I enjoy when i do. The chocolate is amazing for chocolate milk and also just dipping strawberries into😊. I haven’t tried the vanilla but maybe in coffee?
ChocZero I think it would be wonderful in coffee. I don’t like pancakes or waffles but I have many other uses for these syrups! Yummy. The fruit flavors I mix into unsweetened iced tea and WOW they are amazing!! Thanks for the reply
Thank you so much for this. I make an avocado mug cake that the recipe was originally Paleo because it asked for maple syrup. I think one of the maple syrup or the chocolate one would work great in it. I'll be buying this later
I like the allulose maple syrup. It tastes a lot like real maple syrup to me. I put it in my noatmeal that I make by mixing 2 tbsp hemp hearts, with 1 tbsp chia seed, 1 tbsp golden flax with 1/4 cup coconut milk and 1/4 cup of the kitu sweet cream creamer make with monk fruit. Then I add a little of my allulose maple syrup to it and some cinnamon and let it soak up the liquid. You can heat it up if you like it hot or it is also quite good cold. Lots of fiber and very filling.
That's the coolest looking family room behind you. Has that comfy basement-vibe. Can i just live in a shed in your backyard? I could be available for chopping onions and dishwashing.
I ordered some of these the last time you reviewed them. I found them pricey. I liked the maple on chaffles and the chocolate and caramel on ice cream. After you reviewed the Log Cabin sugar free maple syrup, I bought 3 bottles of that. I'm hooked on that for breakfast! Can't beat that price. I think you'll get a lot of suggestions for the other flavors as a syrup isn't necessarily just for pancakes and waffles. I'll probably reorder the caramel and try the maple pecan.
Natural flavors killed my grandmother. She was only 98. If only she'd found Bobby's FlavCity channel and his unrelenting war against natural flavors, she might have lived another 100 years.
@@SeriousKeto It's good to be appreciated, so let me return the favor and say you've really honed your channel into something special. Very professional, entertaining and informative (your daughter is a natural co-host), and when you say, "This video is going long so I'll make the next section short," it certainly warms my heart. Not that I wouldn't mind watching longer videos, but there's only so many hours in the day to catch up with my favorite channels. Yep, I wouldn't survive Open Mic night with just one guy in the back chuckling quietly to himself.... My grandmother did indeed live to 98, and what she ate would make Paleo, Keto, Vegan, Mediterranean, Carni followers' minds blow (Exhibit A: modern chicken). That said, she did have some good habits: _never_ overeating and a preponderance of whole foods (she was a former country farm girl). Even up to her early 90's she would get out and mow the lawn (very slowly) if we didn't get over to do it when _she_ wanted it done. ;-) If she hadn't had scarlet fever as a child, her experience of health would have been much different through her entire life, not just her later years. Even so, up until the last couple years of her life, we thought she was indestructible. And never would I deny her biscuits and sausage gravy, not even when I was low-fat vegetarian in the 90's. Not three years ago when I was keto.
@Polar Fox You're a sassy little fox, aren't you? All worked up over nothing SK or I said in our comments. A near epidemic of alcohol sugars? I see someone is overzealously working on their Nobel prize....
Thanks for the review. I have had a caramel since the beginning of my journey and really haven’t had any use for it yet. I fuel I’ll have to make some ice cream.
This comment has to do with one of your other podcasts as well as this one. A few months ago, prior to me finding out about the ChocZero Syrups, I purchase a Stevia Sugar-Free Syrup. I had some Keto French Toast so I brought out the Stevia Sugar-Free Syrup to try it. I probably had a tablespoon at the most. When I was finished with the french toast, all of a sudden I began to feel Keto Flu symptoms. I grabbed the bottle of Stevia Sugar-Free Syrup and read the Nutrition label. Sure enough, Total & Net Carbs 15, ingredients Dextrose. I was so mad because where I purchased this from it was in the Keto section. As you said, you can't trust the "Keto" name being sugar-free. You have to READ THE LABEL. Its the old adage; trying to teach an old dog new tricks.🤓
That happened to me too. I hadn't read the label either, just the title... I thought my Meniere was acting out because I was so dizzy I had to lay down. My husband came to check on me and asked what I had to eat. He went to check. He's not even Keto...
I just got the chocolate, caramel and maple - Put chocolate and caramel on Enlightened Keto ice cream - it was great - I have some of the candied pecans from your recipe but did not think about that on ice cream - can't wait to do the "turtle sundae". Will try maple pecan on ice cream also. I will try maple on your pancake recipe on the weekend.
My first bottles of Choc Zero Maple are on route! 🥳Woohoo! Unfortunately so is my new Ketone & Glucose monitor (ouchie!)… Keto Mojo won’t ship to Canada anymore so I had to go with the insanely expensive Fora 6. As I add new ingredients and recipes to my repertoire I plan to check my glucose and my ketone response to ensure I stay level for 3 months until I can start my final phase of weight loss. Thanks for all the great reminders, tips & recommendations for new products. Honestly I wouldn’t try anything new if it weren’t for genuine reviews like these!
I LOVE the chocolate and maple syrup myself! I agree that the caramel doesn't taste like caramel though. That being said... Zipfizz is already so sweet that I can't even begin to imagine putting more sweetener in there! That's just a personal preference though.
Chocolate milk, coffee flavoring and sweetening, mug cake flavoring and sweetener, icing when mixed with cream cheese, flavoring and sweetener when making keto nut granola, collagen flavoring and sweetener for smoothie, etc...
I put some of that strawberry syrup in some heavy cream, allulose, a couple of diced up strawberries and a few drops of "One-on-one" strawberry flavoring. I let it spin in the Dash pint icecream maker. It was edible, but nothing spectacular.
@serious keto I use the maple pecan in my pecan pies in place of the karo syurp. Everyone lives them. Make the taste and ouey gooey goodness of "real" pecan pie.
Thanks for being a human guinea pig on our behalf. Saves me from the experience with sugar free syrup. Very much like the sugar free gummy bear reviews you read on Amazon. Cheers!
"Syrup" isn't only pancake syrup. There are other kinds of syrup like the syrup you put in various types of drinks at Starbucks, syrup you use for baking, etc. That said, thanks for tasting so we have an idea of which flavors are better than others!
I have never tried the vanilla or the maple pecan. I love the chocolate and the maple but agree about the butterscotch taste of the caramel. The strawberry I didn't like at all. I mixed a small amount with a little peanut butter and ate it with pork rinds just to get rid of it. It really wasn't bad like that. Kind of like a PB&J.
ChocZero syrups caused a high spike for me. Super bummed, as they tasted great. Remember to do your own test! Since becoming a diabetic, I've been able to sense tingling in my fingers after consuming too much sugar/starch. I was super surprised when I felt that tingling after having a 2 T serving of this syrup. discovered that I got a super spike (over 70) with these and my bs was slow to normalize back down. I tested all 3 flavors over the coarse of a week and all were the same...tingling and a spike. Honestly, I NEVER would have done the test had I not felt that tingling...I would have just trusted other people's reports. This would have been a big misstep for me and I would have incorporated ChocZero into my lifestyle, cuz they are very good. Steve, hope you don't mind me making this public service announcement that we all really have to do our own due diligence with testing.
It's something I preach -- everyone who is concerned about the blood glucose should test any time they try a new product. Just because it had essentially no effect on me doesn't mean it won't affect someone else.
Mary Morales I did my blood testing this weekend after eating choczero maple syrup. I have been eating it for months and absolutely love the maple. I look forward to my Saturday “sweet” chaffles. I am very sad to say that my blood sugar spiked through the roof! Over 100 points in 30 minutes and over 120 after an hour! I do not have diabetes or any other issues. This was very saddening to me. This syrup is delicious.
@@SeriousKeto Spot on SK. Post-eating blood sugar testing for diabetics is an entirely different ball game than post-eating blood sugar testing for non-diabetics. If you are not diabetic, your blood sugar will not spike, it may increase a little. If someone experiences a real spike, they have blood sugar issues and need to see a physician. Like your channel. Please emphasize your above disclaimer when testing foods for blood sugar changes. Thanks!
@@Hobomomjds I am truly amazed at how different everyone reacts do different foods. I admit that I've often been careless about doing my own test when someone I trust says that they they experienced no impact. For me now, I have to remind myself that info of another person's result is just my starting point, not my decision maker.
When you were describing the strawberry it reminded me of those strawberry candies with the gooey jam in the middle. Those are disgusting, imo. I do like to mix raspberry syrup (not choc zero brand) in sour cream with frozen berries, monk fruit and vanilla for an easy keto dessert. Thanks for testing, will look into this brand when I run out of what I have.

Use the vanilla as a sweetener substitute, such as for sweetening whipped cream. Works well!
I didn't think of that. Great tip! That's why I love you guys! 🙂👍
Great idea on the crunch bars. I'll have to wait on making that video until ChocZero restocks.
I need to order the tropical trio, myself. 🙂
Try the chocolate syrup on a chocolate mug cake with some whipped cream, it’s wonderful!
Sounds great!
Tfs.
I like that frosting idea!
I love those syrups. I don’t use them often but I enjoy when i do. The chocolate is amazing for chocolate milk and also just dipping strawberries into😊. I haven’t tried the vanilla but maybe in coffee?
We have had quite a bit of people use it in coffee or while baking! 😋
ChocZero I think it would be wonderful in coffee. I don’t like pancakes or waffles but I have many other uses for these syrups! Yummy. The fruit flavors I mix into unsweetened iced tea and WOW they are amazing!! Thanks for the reply
@@ChocZero how about a non-flavored syrup to mimic corn syrup in baking? Do you have one like that?
Great review. Your daughter is soo sweet. I usually get Walden Farms. Its completely clean.
❤❤❤love all choc zero I’ve tried! They never hurt my digestive system either.
Bummed about the caramel syrup! Thanks for this!
Syrups aren't just for pancakes, they are for flavoring coffee, flavoring milk, and topping ice cream. Lots of uses!
I was in a very pancake frame of mind when we filmed this. 😉
I really like the ChocZero syrups! And the dark choc coconut candy bars!
We are so happy you are loving our syrups! And the coconut bars are definitely delicious! 😋🍫
I use the Carmel and chocolate syrup as a topping/icing on mug cakes
Sounds good!
Thank you so much for this. I make an avocado mug cake that the recipe was originally Paleo because it asked for maple syrup. I think one of the maple syrup or the chocolate one would work great in it. I'll be buying this later
I did get some, thank you for the discount code
I like the allulose maple syrup. It tastes a lot like real maple syrup to me. I put it in my noatmeal that I make by mixing 2 tbsp hemp hearts, with 1 tbsp chia seed, 1 tbsp golden flax with 1/4 cup coconut milk and 1/4 cup of the kitu sweet cream creamer make with monk fruit. Then I add a little of my allulose maple syrup to it and some cinnamon and let it soak up the liquid. You can heat it up if you like it hot or it is also quite good cold. Lots of fiber and very filling.
I use the Maple Pecan in my Keto chocolate pecan pie. Delicious and such a great texture! The chocolate is also good in that recipe.
Sounds great!
That's the coolest looking family room behind you. Has that comfy basement-vibe. Can i just live in a shed in your backyard? I could be available for chopping onions and dishwashing.
The dish washing alone has me considering this offer. 😉
I suspect that some people won't get your sense of humor, but I did, and this gave me a chuckle. Thanks! 😄
I use the maple pecan syrup in butter pecan ice cream. It’s fantastic!
I bet!
I use the chocolate and caramel in my iced coffees at home. soooo good! sometime I will have my iced coffee for dessert :)
Thanks for the review. I have had a caramel since the beginning of my journey and really haven’t had any use for it yet. I fuel I’ll have to make some ice cream.
Rebel ice cream has a salted caramel variety , it's vanilla with the caramel syrup swirled through and it is spot on.
I make my husband Keto Pecan Pie with this syrup, we like the Carmel in it better than maple. We don't like the chocolate at all.
Oooo, never thought of that! I'm thinking I need the recipe!
Oh yes! Recipe please! That’s my husband’s favorite pie!
Can you share the pie recipe🎈
I would also like the recipe...sounds delish!
and there is a recipe for a Sirracha wing sauce with the caramel sauce! that is really good.
Really? Can you point me to it? I'd love to try that out.
@@SeriousKeto www.choczero.com/blogs/recipes/keto-sriracha-chicken-wings
Awesome! Thanks!
That sounds awesome
Thank you first your honestly your daughter is adorable😍💜
Chocolate milk, coffee flavoring and sweetening, mug cake flavoring and sweetener, icing when mixed with cream cheese, flavoring and sweetener when making keto nut granola, collagen flavoring and sweetener for smoothie, etc...
I love the maple pecan one. Also, I tried the maple vanilla and it’s good too.
I put some of that strawberry syrup in some heavy cream, allulose, a couple of diced up strawberries and a few drops of "One-on-one" strawberry flavoring. I let it spin in the Dash pint icecream maker. It was edible, but nothing spectacular.
I bet the strawberry would be good as a topping for cheesecake. The cream cheese would mellow out the sweetness.
This is why I love my viewers so much -- you have great ideas! 🙂
Whip that chocolate into some cream cheese to make a nice icing for a mug cake 😋😉
Great idea!!
I like it too
I like the way you think.
Keto Focus makes recipes for ChocZero on their channel. She’s very creative using all the ingredients of their products. Thx for the review.
Cheers!
Enjoyed the vid. Like the ChocZero syrups. Mostly bought for Chaffles. But wow they are THICK!!!
Especially the chocolate
"Syrup" isn't only pancake syrup. There are other kinds of syrup like the syrup you put in various types of drinks at Starbucks, syrup you use for baking, etc. That said, thanks for tasting so we have an idea of which flavors are better than others!
Wow! Your voice should be on the radio or hosting Dateline! 🙂
Thank you
I have never tried the vanilla or the maple pecan. I love the chocolate and the maple but agree about the butterscotch taste of the caramel. The strawberry I didn't like at all. I mixed a small amount with a little peanut butter and ate it with pork rinds just to get rid of it. It really wasn't bad like that. Kind of like a PB&J.
Good idea.
I'm sure the strawberry and vanilla would go well with Greek plain yogurt.
Oooh, that sounds like a great idea!
For the vanilla and strawberry syrups you could use them to make Italian sodas.
Great suggestion!
That sounds really tasty!
@@SeriousKeto Chopped pecans go very well with it too. You should try it.
