The Try Guys (or whoever gets these "gigs" for them at Buzzfeed) asked these guys if they would share a part of their culture with them, Alpha Phi Alpha accepted the offer and taught the guys what they needed to know, and they made sure to mention the roots of the practice in their video. They wanted to know more about a cultural practice so they went straight to the source and asked if it would be okay. They could have just asked any random instructor associated with some company that just treats this dance like a commodity but they didn't and I appreciate that.
Yes, the Try Guys' respectful eagerness to learn about stepping and its history and the Alpha Phi Alpha members' willingness to share their culture and talent really made me smile.

I love the try guys. Not only because of Eugene’s perfections, Keith’s bright personality, Zach’s adorableness and Ned’s love for his wife, but there’s also the fact that they do crazy things just to entertain us. Like when Eugene did the fatherhood series, he’s not as close to his dad as the others were but he still did it. They also swam with sharks and tried to stay at sea. I’m so thankful for that. Even though they might not see this but I just wanted to get this out there. 💕
