Everytime I feel like I’m too girly for doing ballet I come back to this video and I feel so much better about it, especially when they talk about how strong dancers are at the end. I know you’re probably not gonna see this cause this vid is 4 years old, but genuinely, thanks guys.
male dancers are strong, masculine, and disciplined. Ballet makes you tough. A friend was a pro dancer until age 25 then she joined the Marines and outperformed ALL the men during bootcamp. Strength, discipline, focus, high pain tolerance, and drive. Put on your tights my guy!
There's a really cute moment when Zach asks Bianca how they don't get dizzy and all the little ones chime in when she answers: "we use our spot!" like yeah u know the answers, lil ones, u go for it
I don't know why I'm bothering to say this, as I'm sure it won't actually influence anyone's opinion. But there is no more a toxic masculinity than there is a toxic femininity, there is just toxicity. People who live in discomfort or fear or self hate, and push that onto other people, exhibit that characteristic. Men don't have to wear tutus or go out of their way to break conventional norms to not be toxic, they just have to be respectful, decent people. Buzzfeed is one of the most toxic sites there is. In their desire to be all inclusive of who they deem worthy, they spread hate towards others. Not to be taken out of context, there is nothing wrong with guys doing ballet, or any other manner of stereotype shattering activities, but you don't have to do those things to be nontoxic. Buzzfeed puts a lot of time and energy into shaming people for being Male or Caucasian. It can be incredibly pandering, using virtue signaling with no real goal other than to get woke points and spread hate. Anytime a group of people is attacked for reasons beyond their control, what else could it be called?
MyChemicalRomants InMyPants you make fair points 👌🏻 I get what you’re saying and it makes sense. If we basically destroy social norms and just be good people to one another, toxicity won’t exist. It’s the standards that are built for people that makes certain behavior toxic, like how men “aren’t supposed to show emotion because it’s weak”. Like wtf? They’re breaking the destructive norms by just being guys having a good time doing whatever they want, Yknow? That’s why people are excited and happy 🤷🏼♀️ and yeah Buzzfeed sucks as a company, very glad The Try Guys have developed their own company 😊

It feels so nice to see people appreciate how much effort it takes to actually do ballet and pointe. I've been training my body for like 80% of my life and this makes me feel so confident
Charisse Ramos We all knew he would be this best! He's the hottest, the best at dancing, and the most graceful! We need to find something for them do at he's can't!
As a ballerina, I didn’t know this was hard for beginners as it shows here. Sure, some techniques and most movements are hard to achieve, but we are so used to this life that it becomes normal for most of us. I wish most people were into having a class or two cause, for me, dancing helped me to learn so much about my body and to embrace it, and I think this would be helpful for a lot of people. Also, I hate how this same industry and the stereotypes have helped into making us look like we have a “standard”. I don’t like being perceived as a “you don’t eat anything with fat”, or “you have to be skinny”. I hate the standards that have been put into place for us and how many of us have just accepted it. We do eat, A LOT sometimes. We do go out. We do have a life and feelings. We do get hurt. We are not “elegant and poised” the whole time. We can be perfectionists, but we’re not perfect. It’s a hard thing to get used to because we pressure ourselves so much, and it can cause a lot of mental problems. I remember how I once told someone I danced and they told me “but don’t you have to be super skinny?” Just because I wasn’t a size 0. Please remember we are just like any other person and don’t put us into a box full of standards, because we are already dealing with it, and if more people think of us that same way we will never be able able to get out of that box.

Hey, your nieces are doing great! I'm like 2 decades older than them, but get me to even try ballet and i will cry on stage louder than any 3 year old could.
eugene did a remarkable job with his arms, it's a large part of why he looks like he knows what he's doing. he's able to have that strong energy flows through his arms without them looking stiff, and also allows them to move separately from his torso. i've been in ballet since i was four, and i know that if i had tried this even at 20 w/o any experience i wouldn't have done half as well. zach, keith, eugene, and ned did an amazing job and you guys genuinely made my day ♡
2:40 "I just got yelled at by a 10 year old for sitting. Your not allowed to sit in ballet because it's not proper." My ballet teacher said you could get cramps when sitting in class
In my school it was disrespectful to sit down or ask what time it was and sometimes you would feel a little bad if you asked to take your pointe shoes off.
It's true. You don't want your muscles to get cold in the middle of class and without proper cool down and stretching. You don't get cramps when you sit at home because your muscles aren't usually under that same pressure. When I did ballet we'd get three 5-minute water breaks (once every 30 minutes) and even during those we were supposed to keep walking around to keep the muscles nice and warm. At the end of class we also had to do 15 minutes of stretching from the neck all the way down to the toes in order to avoid cramps or tense muscles.
I agree because my coach told me the same thing in track. Your muscles will cramp up because you just finished a serious workout. You just gotta let them cramp up at home :)
"Oh, hey, honey, what did you do in ballet class today?" "Our teacher made us dance with grown men." "Wut" (LOL, but ya'lls did good for your first time)
It's hard when you have to remember to lower your shoulders but not let them slouch, lift your torso, tick in your stomach, not arch your back, tuck in your butt, bend knees outwards, always extend your feet in the air, turn out your hips, keep your arms soft and keep your neck extended, all while making it look effortless and graceful.
This video helped me so much as a newly disabled person. I hadn't heard of anyone who had the same illness as me, and seeing Zach here made me feel less alone 💚
Keith: "I tried to go upstairs earlier and I screamed." SUCH A MOOD also I don't do ballet (I took a ballet class for the first time in 5 years the other day and it was one of the worst experiences of my life) but I do modern and YES like how are you supposed to get through a school day when it hurts to walk and to stand and to sit and to breath and FORGET STAIRS like nooo I relate too much.

A theory that I have because of an episode of a rat girl who wants to be a ballerina, hip hop helps in ballet because it makes easier for landing
This video should be called “Eugene being perfect for 14 minutes straight”
And 57 seconds.
I don't know my name of course, can’t forget those 57 seconds
Right! Is there anything he can't do?
Local Sinner I wanna see Eugene dance with high heels.
'straight'
Eugene as a ballerina in the waltz of the flowers was so graceful
Anti-Social yessss
Tri
Triy school ughin
*ballerino
eugene did a remarkable job with his arms, it's a large part of why he looks like he knows what he's doing. he's able to have that strong energy flows through his arms without them looking stiff, and also allows them to move separately from his torso. i've been in ballet since i was four, and i know that if i had tried this even at 20 w/o any experience i wouldn't have done half as well. zach, keith, eugene, and ned did an amazing job and you guys genuinely made my day ♡
“That’s Amber, she has problems”
I’m crying 😂
My name is amber ;w;
it must be an amber thing
lmAO
dYLaN W that made me laugh so hard🤣🤣🤣 cuz he did look like an amber with problems
She's also deaf in one ear😂
i feel like Eugene secretly practiced ballet in his room as a child in his free time
Anna Wheeler me too
Anna Wheeler me too
He's good at everything like wtf😭😂❤️
Anna Wheeler he's an asian we don't have free time😂😂
Cardin Tran omg😭😂😂😂
How the hell is Eugene good at everything?
Esme Hansen it's a Korean thing
It’s an Asian thing I guess😂
I know right
It's because he's Eugene
Its cause he's Asian
9:57 ~ eugene- " keith is a gangly, giant, klutz
_then keith in the back being a gangly, giant klutz_
Eugene : I'm not good at dancing other than hip-hop
*absolutely nails it beautifully*
Eugene : that sucked!
KatelynRose Kreis true Asian there
KatelynRose Kreis literally every video
I have hope that I'll be good at ballet now..I'm a hip hop and jazz dancer.
It sucked tho
KatelynRose Kreis yes. I agree
I’m still waiting for synchronized swimming
Or dive.
They've actually done both in one of the Squad Wars episodes.
Well, two of them - Eugene and Ned. (Keith and Zach were the hosts for that episode)
FleetstreetVicomte where can I watch it? I only got a preview
@@ayladavis6257 It's here on youtube, but it's sadly a youtube premium series.
I don't know if it have been uploaded anywhere else. Sorry :(
omg yesss
Ned: Cramps all the time
Zach: Clueless
Eugene: The only good one
Keith: Knows he sucks/ goofy
Ok shout outs to Zac he shined so well here and Eugene again delivers another lovely performance. This was a delight to watch.
Why did Eugene sincerely look bomb doing both of the dances
*I'm just waiting for The Try Guys to try pole dancing.*
[Insert Roblox Death Sound Here] PLEASE
Have my upvote! Came here to suggest exactly that :)
YES
Yessss
Yes.
This reminds me of the time Mark and Jack did it.
Why is Eugene like the best at every video they’ve done?
We may never know
Actual quote from Eugene, "I need to make myself 10% worse at the things we try otherwise I'm not relatable."
Because he’d Eugene
Because he's an Asian lol
Janelle D because he’s a wizard
I thought this wasn't half-bad, guys, especially for beginners. Y'all memorized the routines and executed the best you could.
Isabella Bitar your muscles can cramp up when u go from running and dancing to sitting. It’s better to stand it lean
I agree because my coach told me the same thing in track. Your muscles will cramp up because you just finished a serious workout. You just gotta let them cramp up at home :)
Yeah you can. But it’s also hella rude to your instructor when you’re not standing and spotting
“That’s Amber, she has problems.”
Me: 💀💀
11:54
I screamed so bad when that happened 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
...
When
Well ouch...
Thank u
No one:
Not a single person:
Eugene: *looks like an Asian Jesus*
Jesus was Asian wasn’t he?
Kai Grebla yeah but he’s also from the Middle East, in Asia, meaning he’s Asian
I live for this comment
*korean jesus
@Kai Grebla kind of obvious if you consider that arguing
"Oh, hey, honey, what did you do in ballet class today?"
"Our teacher made us dance with grown men."
"Wut"
(LOL, but ya'lls did good for your first time)
Eugene: "Im not good at ballet"
His coming out video: *Am I a joke to you?*
In his defense: that wasn't ballet in his coming out video, it was modern dance.
He was doing modern dance not ballet
Eugene can't be good at EVERYTHING.
Well, I lied😂
Jayda Shen Ikr
They should do gymnastics
Ikr... you can just tell him to wear a dirty trash-bag... but he will still look AMAIZING
I swear. Eugene is dream!!!!
He's bad at underachieving
“I hate fried chicken...” *record scratch*........*Eugene slowly covers Keiths ears*
😂
Hahaha
Its GG Gamer 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Wow thx so much for 346 likes
4:10
Fun fact: Even professional ballerina's bodies never get used to the poses. Like their toenails fall off and their feet still get blisters
*_"i tried to go upstairs earlier and i screamed."_*
Imagining it and dying 😂😂😂😂😂
i loved that part looolll
Me in general
Can you imagine if Eugene trained in ballet since he was little 😍😭
YESSSSSSSS that would be so good
If you just watch Eugene, it's less disappointing! :)
Sophia Harrison agreed
I can see him doing that
Kait Travels he'd actually be amazing, he wasn't actually that bad at all, especially in the Russian dance
Eugene was the only one who tried to hold his hands properly
I think they tried, but ballet is really hard, and Eugene is the only one with dance experience, I think he did an amazing job
*Le pointe*
It's hard when you have to remember to lower your shoulders but not let them slouch, lift your torso, tick in your stomach, not arch your back, tuck in your butt, bend knees outwards, always extend your feet in the air, turn out your hips, keep your arms soft and keep your neck extended, all while making it look effortless and graceful.
This video helped me so much as a newly disabled person. I hadn't heard of anyone who had the same illness as me, and seeing Zach here made me feel less alone 💚
Keith: "I tried to go upstairs earlier and I screamed."
SUCH A MOOD
also I don't do ballet (I took a ballet class for the first time in 5 years the other day and it was one of the worst experiences of my life) but I do modern and YES like how are you supposed to get through a school day when it hurts to walk and to stand and to sit and to breath and FORGET STAIRS like nooo I relate too much.
Same heeere, I do ballet&contemporary
I do a type of ballet called cecchetti and have done ballet for 8 years. Sometimes it hurts to sit up.
@@shaynap.9713 I feel you there. What is cecchetti? I've never heard of that and it sounds really interesting.
Colette Pollauf , cecchetti is a type of ballet it's basically ballet with different routines, different music, and different names.
I love when Zach says "oh my God" really low and he puts his hands on his cheeks! It's so adorable:D
We need a montage of every time he does it!
"oh my god i'm the clitoris"
OMG IM THE CLITORIS
Nicky Baillargeon DAMMIT I WAS ABOUT TO COMMENT THAT
Zach is such a precious boy.
Try guys try figure skating! Please like so they do it!! 😂⛸
Hollie Hrabik YASSSSS
Born to make history with figure skating. Am I right?
>:) Eugene can be Viktor and Ned can be Yuri >:)
This needs to happen
Hollie Hrabik yes i think it's a great idea lol
at 9:40 when eugene was talking about the other guys and why they’re destined for failure i laughed so hard💀💀💀
