@@whitneyleigh5453 yeah I'm glad too. Tap dancing originated in america when poor irish immigrants mixed with the black population, it's like a mixture of traditional Irish dancing combined with african styles which made it more free and rhythmical. The history of both is very important to tap dancing, but people generally overlook black people's contribution and only talk about tap as like an american version of irish dancing. Which it kind of is, but talking about the legacy of black tap dancers is so central to the history of tap too

Highlighting Zach's chronic pain and invisible illness is so important. Normalizing disability and accomodations will help so many people, and it'll help so many people learn. Disabled and chronically ill people have been treated as disposable throughout the pandemic, so having bigger creators talk about this and make sure Zach is still important and included.. thank you so much.

I think they took that into consideration and were like, "no, we don't want to stress our staff like that. We want everyone to feel heard and recognized." I suggest you look that episode up. I love this video as one of the best examples of the Try Guys trying something truly challenging while educating a broader audience about the history and culture surrounding that thing. I’m very sad that Ned’s behavior has sullied this particular one because I love to share it to illuminate the Black American history of tap dance. I’d love if you all would considering trying Lindy Hop in your new Try Guys era. I continue to be a fan of your values and your content, even (maybe sometimes especially) when it means you end up with a lower performing video.

I’m so proud of Zach for bowing out for his physical health, as someone who also suffers with chronic pain I was concerned when I saw him in this bc it sounds excruciatingly painful to me and I know we have different types of chronic pain but we can still definitely relate. I’ve said it before but it means a whole lot to me to have someone in media I can relate to on that level, until I found out about Zach’s AS I had never seen invisible disabilities represented ever it truly means the world to me. Also that’s not the only thing we share in common, I also have a smiley face tattoo on my buttcheek that I got years before I started watching the try guys. Much love to all y’all 💞

Me too ,but people with chronic pain just have to be honest with themselves and say no to many activities for safety. Zach shouldn't have been in the video in the first place. Why not put EUGENE instead?? That way they have three Try Guys doing Tap dance and Zach left alone without injure himself.

This is top-tier Try Guys content: learning a new skill, getting an amazing look at the history behind it, a phenomenal expert, the boys not being great but doing the thing anyway, and Try Staff showing them up just for fun. Thank you for introducing us non-dance folks to Miss Cathie! She has so much knowledge and passion and it truly tipped this video over the top.
