@No Name Well, for one, being in a relationship with a woman doesn't make you cis or het. Nevermind the fact that what they're clearly referring to is the fact that Ned is the very definition of "Straight white American that loves his wife and kids more than life itself." That stereotype can be damaging because it's usually lumped in with being a toxic conservative, being emotionally damaged, being abusive, toxic masculinity, sexist etc etc so it's nice to see the "stereotypical white straight man" being openly provocative in a way you wouldn't usually see. Can I just say that as a trans man, Ned having one of his tropes a huge ass, and wearing my dream shorts, is really affirming and comforting, I hope one day I can reach his level of confidence! Thank you Ned for being a role model for me and being a part of my hopeful future❤
As a fellow queer who has typically felt uncomfortable being feminine and wearing "sexy" or revealing clothes, I feel the same about him. All of the Try Guys, but especially Ned and Keith, make me feel so much less pressure to look a certain way. I'm genderfluid and typically lean toward enby, but I'm still learning that I don't owe anyone androgyny. You don't owe anyone masculinity. We just owe ourselves love and joy. 💜
The fact that they acknowledged strippers and where pole dancing comes from in this video is so important. Strippers and sex workers deserve to be acknowledged for all they've done. Also, Ned's routine made me blush. He did the damm thing.
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 (I was going to like, but that would have taken the way the 666). While I’m here though, I’m also really happy they mentioned it. Strippers tend to get erased when it comes to pole videos on every platform, so it’s always nice when there’s acknowledgement.

Of course a woman can get a man even when she's covered up. The problem are the man who slut-shame/punish women who don't want to be covered up all the time. Women getting beaten for showing their hair is wrong on so many levels.
this is unironically the hottest thing ever, & its not even cause “ooh pole dancing sexy” (although, yes ALSO bc of that) but because they were both SO HAPPY AND CONFIDENT DOING WHAT THEY DID. It was CONTAGIOUS, it was so AWESOME.

All Muslim women are different and comfortable with different things. Neda was a whole vibe and she was exploring her own sensuality and physicality on her own terms.

@@ChadDidNothingWrong This rubbed me the wrong way and I didn't know at first why exactly. However, I think it bc your logic is correct but it doesn't feel right emotionally. It's like telling someone healthy that they should appreciate it bc someone else has cancer, or a SA survivor that they should appreciate normal people more bc of their negative experience. While that's true and the logic is valid, it feels wrong morally bc you still "support" the negative experience's existence for the sake of a more positive one. Does that make sense? In this case it seems like you support normal guys who have this type of toxic masculinity. If you didn't, you wouldn't have left this comment, bc usually when you bring up a counterexample, you support the counter point. Playing devil's advocate still makes you associated with the devil. You could be innocently missing the point on purpose, but usually the people who do this counter point thing are trying to maliciously get the conversation off track. Some examples of this happening are on the "all men are trash" videos where women are talking about being SA'd, and people leave comments like "not all men." Like, yes, that fact is true, but that's a separate discussion. Long response to a not so long comment, but ty for giving me an opportunity to clear my thoughts.
I loved her energy! I also love how she shows that you can be modest and completely covered and still be sensual, sexy, fun, and do some ho shit. Love her!
I’m so late to this video but I just have to say thank you to Neda for being the representation for a group of people who likely felt ostracized. Though I’m not Muslim and do not wear hijab, I absolutely can appreciate Neda for being confident and comfortable in her own person to do pole dance and not let what others in her community say sway her or make her feel ashamed. She proves that even in hijab and even covered from head to toe, you can still look and feel incredibly sexy.
Also, there were parts of Ned's performance that my brain was literally confused. Like I know he's a masculine male, but my brain saw that elegance and flow and was seeing a feminine figure. You don't see masculine males taking pride in their feminine, graceful aspects nearly often enough. I'm totally about it.

plus the fact that she openly acknowledges strippers as being largely responsible (?) for pole dancing!! she knows that sexual liberty can and should coincide with hijab and being a hijabi
Well said
It's really nice to see as a leftist Muslim

As a fellow queer who has typically felt uncomfortable being feminine and wearing "sexy" or revealing clothes, I feel the same about him. All of the Try Guys, but especially Ned and Keith, make me feel so much less pressure to look a certain way. I'm genderfluid and typically lean toward enby, but I'm still learning that I don't owe anyone androgyny. You don't owe anyone masculinity. We just owe ourselves love and joy. 💜

Yes but make sure to donate the revenue to women dancers and strippers. It's only on their backs that all of this was created.

I love seeing the representation of a hijabi pole dancer. It helps break down the stigma and stereotype of what Muslim women are and what they can/will do. All Muslim women are different and comfortable with different things. Neda was a whole vibe and she was exploring her own sensuality and physicality on her own terms.
I just appreciate so much of how they are willing to just TRY. There is no bullshit about things like "Oh I'm a man. Oh I can't do that. Oh No Not sticking my ass out cause man don't do that " blah blah blah. Applaud to them👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
You should appreciate normal guys too because if it wasnt for them, this wouldn't be anything special.
No toxic masculinity here!!👌🙌🙌🙌
@@ChadDidNothingWrong This rubbed me the wrong way and I didn't know at first why exactly.
