That cutscene that plays before the encounter with Ho-Oh in Heartgold is still one of my favorite legendary cutscenes in the entire Pokemon series.
What a bizarre Event the Navel Rock was.
You go to a random place that randomly has Lugia and Ho-Oh. And when you battle them, it sounds a Kanto Wild Battle Theme Remix...when they are Johto Legendaries x'D
And if you are playing in Emerald, you are Brendan, a Hoenn protagonist
That’s cause they are by the Sevii Islands, and the Sevii Islands use the Kanto battle theme.
They were in fired and leaf green, their locations and battles were just ported straight from firered and leaf green

In a magazine about gold and silver beta that was shown the same day the anime debutted, tyranitar was in that magazine, the first thing you can see even before open it is that same pseudo legendary pokemon in the portrait
Lugia deserves a theme based off the song it had in the movies. Something majestic that can almost compete with Ho-oh’s theme.
By that nickname "Alucard" I can certainly say: Ah, I see you're a man of culture as well
Ho-Oh, the guardian of the skies, the Pokémon that causes kids to never age at all. A rainbow flying through the sky and granted kids wishes.Also the very first legendary Pokémon we see when Ash begins his journey.

I tried to get a shiny Ho-Oh in Soul Silver. I've made nearly 1,000 soft resets and nothing, but it's ok. I caught it in the first Ultra Ball.

Ik i am 3 years late but im pretty sure on fire red u also get to fight it in that islad like in ruby and sapphire, but its like an event i think idk, i used an emulator and tped myself using a code, just like i did to go to deoxys in the same game

Anyone else wondering why you can just go get ho-oh so early on in the game in pokemon gold and silver
well you can get zapdos with only 3 badges in RBY and FRLG
That’s why I think SoulSilver is best. It’s so much more exhilarating catching Ho oh after beating the elite four and when it’s lvl 70.
So fishy that they made Ho-oh and Lugia in ORAS Lv.50 so all of their moves only have 5 PP that's why so hard to Shiny Hunt them lol

ho oh is one of my favorite legendaries, I love the meaning it has behind, if i'm not wrong refers to friendship and I love it, also, as half japanese, I feel like its the only one, of both legendaries, that looks more traditional to ancestral japanese culture, and also, reminds me of the Mexican Mayan culture

Ho-Oh doesn't has his own exclusive move like many other legendary Pokémon. Sacred Fire is his signature move probably because of the legends of Ho-Oh.
