- Can a person have too many gardens? I've been rejuvenating 5 of our gardens this week.We have over a Dozen separate and distinct beds; some are small garden beds and others are rather expansive, but each requires a good deal of TLC. That's one reason I am so busy all season long!
In addition, we are having French Tea, "Mariage Freres" and it is marvelous. Please excuse my pronunciations, it's been a long time since French class.

Spray your roses with mix of water and baking soda. Gets rid of black spots. Spray ground also as the spores splash up. I spray after rain and during humid weather. Works.

1 to 2 tablespoon per gallon of water, in sprayer, it changes the pH of the leaf, slowing up the fungus Blackspot will live in the soil for over 25 years. Destroy the leaves.

Last year almost everyone of our rose bushes had something weird going on w/ them - from black spot, to powdery mildew, to some very odd deformities that I have never seen in roses before (it made the leaves & blooms extra small & curly?!). I treated them like crazy all Summer w/ RoseRX & this year they are looking fabulous.
But I do enjoy learning organic or home remedies to use in my garden!!!
NO Jeri a person cannot have too many gardens!! LOL ;) Gardens are our passion and fill us full of joy, beauty, peace and inspiration...there is nothing more magical!! yours are so beautiful you are very lucky!!!

We have 5... all planted with each other. I think it's my soil.

I have 2 native high bush blueberry bushes that have loads of blueberries that we let the birds enjoy. We haven't figured out how to get to the berries first!

We found our Peacock couple on Craigslist :the mother Peahen raised 3 chicks here and they grew up to be the Peabody Boys.
I was just showing my husband her peacocks. I told him I would love a couple. I already have names picked out, Romeo and Juliet. My husband's response, "Do what?"😒

Jerry I just binge watched 3 of your videos back to back stopped a few times to show the nurses and the Aides how talented you are we all enjoyed. You are truly remarkable so creative and artistically talented. You make me so happy I love hearing the geese and roaster join in the conversation your voice is so pleasant it's easy to listen to. I so love your gardens and hopefully will enjoy seeing the Beatrix garden bloom throughout the summer. Every morning I wake up I am blessed with another day and I am thankful. Thank you for giving so much joy to so many it means more than you know.

Our roses always do really well, but this year they have the white powder on them. We've tried everything.
Sadly, last year we lost one rose tree to a tornado, and the cold spell we had this winter... (so unusual to have snow and temps like that)... killed my favorite Don Juan rose bush. We bought that beautiful plant for under a dollar, and it bloomed even when it wasn't supposed to. I miss it so much. (I miss a lot of our stuff. The cold killed a lot).
Sorry for all the garden deaths, we won't have any peaches, plums or apples due to a late frost. which also caused the Wisteria NOT to bloom.

Before we moved to FL, we lived in PA and had 4 blueberry bushes. They received full sun all day and produced berries for a month. They produced such quantity that we froze a lot of them for pancakes and muffins and straight out of the freezer on hot summer days. Hope more sun will bring the results you want.
