In comparison to the previous Patrol, this is really nice! The interior looks much better than the Patrol’s we have over here. Honestly, i’d take this over the equivalent American 3-row; like the Durango, or many other same sized SUV’s. Great video yet again!
Nissan is getting back to styling again. Armada refresh looks more sleek and upgrades on interior. I like Nissan new lineup though they have been struggling in last year or so.
Fantastic review! This is one of the vehicles on my wish list. And YES to the Patrol name worldwide! I wish they had updated the entire interior as it is the one thing lagging behind. But a redesign will surely come soon... right?! Having said that, I also wish KIA wod do something with their aging Mohave. Sure, they have updated it through the years, bit it still uses the same platform from over a decade ago. If KIA could only see the potential of sizing up the Mohave to compete with this Nissan Armada/Patrol and send it to the USA, i'd be the first one in line to buy one. I have owned a 2009 V8 4WD Borrego/Mohave for quite sometime and it is quite an off-road capable truck as well. It was brought to the US at a bad time... but now it would be a good time to bring it back, especially if it had Hyundai/Genesis' silky V8.
If Nissan North America doesn’t want to name it Patrol for whatever reason , at least bring in the real deal but under a new trim level name say a Patrol-4x instead of the regular pro4x.
Besides the Landcruiser, the Patrol would be the only other choice to take in the most extreme conditions throughout the world. Better than a G-Wagon. Much better choice than the Defender.
I never understand why manufacturers decide to use different names in different market. Okay, sometime I understand when certain words mean different things in different languages. But something like the Patrol, it seems totally fine in any part of the world.
I like it personally. I was just looking at q56 last month. But the load floor didn't lay flat. And seemed like everyone had captain chairs and screens in the headrest. I want a bench rear seat and no screens in the rear. And a flat load floor. And all that money you save deleting screens and captain chairs. Put a hybrid option up. Good looking suv though. And not to big of rims 20s are plenty big. And the hard core off road people actually like them smaller. But I like the style of 18 thru 20 inch rims on this vehicle. 22s would be a deal breaker for me. Nice suv
Bought a 2021 SL yesterday in the pearl white and tan interior. Captain seats. Agree on the sunroof, our Rogue has a bigger one haha. But in practice the Armada sunroof is fine. This is a good review, lots points we agree, both the good changes and the not changed stuff. The upgrades from previous model are great, the not upgraded/lesser upgraded are things we wouldn’t want change or care to change. This is our 5th (and largest) Nissan, very excited to get this Armada on and off the road. Keep it on the list! Going to be a long-term own for us, I think in 3+ years the 2021 refresh is going to be a great used buy.
Just bought a sparkle white one yesterday too! Love it! mine has the brown interior, i had the Almond tan in my Murano and showed to much dirt. I love that its not the same old Tahoe or Cadillac everyone has driving all over the roads!
Kumo’s been booking a lot of practical vehicles lately. He’s obviously looking for something more roomy that he can stretch out in on those beautiful days cruising around Hermosa Beach. 😎
It has different suspension from the patrol the front is from nissan titan and rear from previous generation armada, they did that to keep the price down. It has less suspension travel compared to the patrol. Edit : I got this from Instagram I hope anyone with relationships with nissan confirms this.
There is a rugged Nissan Patrol that is used by the United Nations and various militaries that is highly utilitarian and rugged. This Nissan Armada and the Nissan Patrol used in here in the US, the Middle East and in Australia has been developed for on-road use, it is also highly capable off road.
@@richard112360 I saw on Instagram comparison between the two's suspension travel, the patrol has better travel, so I guess there are many small differences
"Armada" gives the word force of fleet toughness. "Patrol" sounds like 3 "Joes" walking in the bushes around a chain link fence. Which would I prefer? You got it, "Armada," because it is rock solid and dependable. Hey, you three, get lost!!
Yes you should call them a patrol. So many Americans comment on Australian videos of the Patrol Y62, saying I wish we could get these in America. Yes these individuals aren't to bright obviously but still. Australia has 1 version V8 4wd. America as I believe gets a V8 a V6 and a 4wd and 2wd only version.. yet alot of people don't know they exist there...
I would love to get an Armada. I have a family of 6 and currently have a Pathfinder, but with the minivan market not being as appealing I would love a bigger vehicle, just can’t afford one.
Recently watched the Armada videos again. Haha nice a new review of the "new" one. Well Armada is a good name for it. Yeah it isn´t Patrol but it kinda fits. Maybe they chose this cuz the Patrol wasn´t successfull in the US so they took the Armada name to at least give you a "Patrol". Well the first gen Armada was not a Patrol but now and always changing the names wouldn´t be good either. See Infiniti with the Q all around the lineup.
This REALLY could use the 9 speed from the Titan because even a single extra MPG is a jump because this thing is so thirsty. Otherwise it's very desirable.
PS: Take the SV trim, add rear locker from the global Patrol, shocks from the Titan PRO4X, Wheels from the titan PRO4X, maybe a 1 inch lift, a couple badges, done.
Sadly the Nismo is no more. This time around I think you guys are getting the better deal. While the 2021 Patrol and Armada have almost identical exteriors, the Patrol have the awful duel screen setup from the Infiniti QX80 instead of this one. Plus, if you want the V8 Patrol, you're looking at $86k. The Patrol now comes with a 4.0L V6 as standard. The base model that starts at $48k comes with plastic mirror caps, "off-road" bumper, no fog lights & 18" wheels, I haven't seen interior phones, but it doesn't sound promising ... I guess you could call that one the "UN spec".
Great review as always! Wish you could get the level of attention you deserve with this channel. I belive you should try to abuse youtubes broken shorts algoritm. Should help you get the subscriber numbers up and get to review even more exclusive cars. Try this Spiffing Brit video to get an idea please. ruclips.net/video/V3EyAlFZ-ok/видео.html Wish you success!
Man is this ugly to my eyes from the outside, inside looks very practical?... not available here, I guess it wouldn't sell either. But if I would live in the UAE or US? probably a good choice, reliable, utilitarian, I got nothing on the Wishlist, sorry :)
@@MotoManTV Yes they say over here: "Sie ist so hässlich das sie schon wieder schön ist" just you don´t see this kind of truck over here. The X5 is already huge for us.
Body on frame, V8 NA, a real SUV. Well done.

Yea i would agree its the same as the i3 interior isnt as nice as a 11700k or 11900k

One of the best reviews on the Armada 👍

One week into Patrol ownership and you captured the essence of the truck brilliantly. Exharisto .

Hands down best review I’ve seen on this so far. Someone Talked about the guts of the vehicle finally! Well done enjoyed the hell out of this

That's because, it was based off the 2005 Nissan Titan. It was a completely different vehicle.
Because partol is slightly different than the Armada, petrol has more off-road gear a is quite a bit more expensive.
At $68K, its about time air suspension be standard (or at least an option).
YES!! Please name it the Nissan Patrol!! It sounds way cooler.
The Armada was based off the 2005 Nissan Titan originally.

Too bad the Armada does not get the rear diff lock and the big fuel tank in the Patrol.
Agreed . . . both should at least be an option in NA.
Yes.
But at least a trailer break control from the factory now.

Great purchase! I’m a sedan guy (M5 here) but would love an Armada for drives into the city or rough areas. 100% pick this over any domestic.

The base model armadas are so legit!
Thanks for the link. Any idea when you’ll get the new pathfinder in the house.

The only thing prevent me from buying this is the rear bumper, it’s just ugly no matter how “useful” it is.

Nissan isn’t particularly reliable
Why not
I've had 6 Nissans, 3 with a CVT. All of them were dead reliable.
Shit I got a V6 Altima, runs fine with 180k miles, very quick car
Not particularly, but this vehicle and its 5.6L is an exception.
