I still think the plant on the roof is silly. Blocks solar panels, adds wind resistance and you can't really see it yourself while traveling. The only bonus it gives is making it look more interesting and bonkers to others, maybe slightly increasing their friendliness towards you.
Agreed, I like plants and solar panels, more the merrier but putting the plant there and completely ruining the output of an already pathetic amount of solar cells is utterly moronic!
maybe it an edible herbal plant or something. so you can have fresh mint tea as you pottle down the canal. or, maybe its something more stronger you'd smoke in a joint :D
Cool bit of engineering. Glad to re-watch the vid. Wow! $19K USD. + shipping no doubt. idk. I suppose if it takes off you could get it down to maybe 12K at scale? But I really only see it as a niche vehicle.
The front bike wheel could be used as the rudder for the boat and with small blades on the rim, extra propulsion also. I like it! The ergonomics as bike look a bit tough on abs tho.
Looked like a pretty fun idea till I saw the *COMPLETELY BONKERS €18000* Price tag. Yes, that's 18 GRAND _IF you pre-order it_ 😓 I think I'd rather try my luck turning a used ZOE into a sailboat, it'd be faster & cheaper for sure 🤣
Where can you legally sleep in it? Beside the campsite, which you could do that in almost any vehicle anyway . Could you stay on the side of a standard public street? Or on the water Or the canal Because there’s no mention about what waste license or insurance or registration
if cybertruck 'boat mode' actually works, it'd be for the more thuggish version of the person who wants to travel the world, in an electric vehicle. heck, you might even be able to fit one of these boat-cycles in the back of a cybertruck..
That would have been perfect for my recent trip to Maum in County Galway: I cycled from England to a cottage overlooking Lake Corrib, but all boats available were non-electric...
Just crazy! Yet I love it. I can't imagine it being truly useable, however. It's too big for bike paths, too slow for streets. No way I could peddle it to a campground or lake from my home.
i liked it then and i like it now, i'd say make it slightly wider and put a stronger motor for boating but otherwise i think it's as bonkers as it is cool
And the point of rebroadcasting this video is ... Clearly in the intervening years since there hasn't been a lot of take up. Has anyone seen them? Anywhere? Anyone?
looks like tuk tuk bicycle boat. lol. nice. why you need to be so high on the bike. the whole bicycle pedal system could be inside the trailer. as one.
80% of the way through the video I'm still naively waiting for any new content 😕 Oh, wait, new voiceover at the end
I think this is my first ever RUclips “rerun“ 🤔
This thing looks bonkers, sounds bonkers and looks bonkers, but I want one!
Bonk

@@jong-wonlee4554 yeah yeah, we got it in the first line …
I'm now inside the bicycle....not a phrase one regularly expects to say
This is just a re-upload with extra fluff. Does it still have the stupid solar blocking plant pot or have they redesigned it to fix this issue?
5km/h on the water is roughly 3mph, so it's "canal legal" for the UK as the speed limit on canals is 4mph.

Fab I remember seeing his first videon on this

This is the kind of "out of the box" thinking that's possible with electric power. Fantastic.
Totally ridiculous and utterly brilliant.

"Does It Come In Black?"
I thought you said “Does it come back” for a few moments there. 🤦🏻♂️

So much freedom! I want one.
Perfect for a biking commuter who lives in Worcester...
I don't think Aussie motorists would tolerate this in front of them
Looks fun to me

I love the idea of amphibian human/solar powered vehicle but this specific execution of it is not the best.
Trakie latvieši!😉 Tomēr ļoti asprātīgi 👍
It's just brilliant.
very cool

And, very reasonably priced, not really....
looks like the apogee of comfort ... why should I punish myself?

Why are you posting others content?
Hmmm an answer to a question nobody asked?
I’m first!
Disappointed at the rehash
I'd like to see @suat on one of these on a London canal. Woohoo.
