I love your hair!! I like that you let us see everything you do to your hair, especially when you're not sure of a style yourself at that moment. Your just playing with it until you find the look you are seeking for. Everyone don't do that. They only let you see the finally results. Thank you for being soooo real with your hair. It really means a lots!
Finally! I have struggled with my daughter's natural hair and your hair is so much like hers. I'm always amazed at the amount of shrinkage she has. Her hair is EXTREMLY dry and tangles immediately after washing.
I'm loving this! I'm wearing braids for the 1st time ever and have been natural for about 6 months. Can't wait to try it for Valentine's Day dinner! 2 cute!
O.k., between you and Pretty Dimples, you guys are the Queens of Protective Styling, I may be leaving out some of my other YT naturalistas but I love these updos, I've been copying these styles since I started my 40 week protective style challenge.
I know you've posted this years ago, but I've been getting relaxers since I was 10 and I have no idea what my natural hair looks like. I'm proud to say that I'm beginning my natural hair journey and your videos have inspired me!!!
Thank you soooo much for these video blogs they are a life saver for me I've been natural for 2 years now & the only style I could do before I found you was pull it back in a bun or wear my curly fro so again thank you sooo much
Your shrinkage is berserk!!! I don't know what it is, but I see this style on you and it looks great, but when I twist my hair that size I CAN'T leave the house with it like that. I always take it out and wear a twistout. My twists have to be small for me to feel I have a nice finished look. So weird because I really like this style, but not on my head. LOL That's why naturals out there really need to watch videos and take away what works for *you*. Find your own style and ROCK IT :-D
Such a good idea, the braiding at the root then twisting! I'm going to try that and see if my twists last longer that way! Thanks for the tip, love the doo!
I am so inspired by you. Thank you for your labor of love for us natural sistas on our natural hair journey. Braiding from the root will certainly help my twist to last longer. Ingenious. Peace Love and Blessings. Pjmelody
Carol's Daughter Healthy Hair Butter is like crack. When I eliminate all of these excess products by my 3rd Nappiversary (Nov. 28)...it's truly going to be a staple. My Christmas wish lists have granted me great gifts from Carol's Daughter. Love her stuff!
My hair shrinkage is just like that, your hair Always looks Top notch, I love the style hopefully my hair will get longer and thicker so I can attempt this style, but loving it!
I have done this style 2 times, going for my 3rd. I have "long hair" (about 2 inches below bra strap) so I look for videos with girls with long hair. Bc I get excited about a hairstyle and they are for shorter hair. So I'm either not able to do it or it won't look the same. I appreciate this videos!! I just hate I'm not that talented to do all those small flat twist. So I have to go for the simple but beautful styles. Thanks!!
God bless Dr.BeautifulBrwnBabyDol.You are a positive inspiration for men&women, everyone" to accomplish their goals,to a higher education.May you tell me how you "kept your Spiritual faith',as your were striving inCollege?I await your favorable reply.God bless& take care.
I am soooo glad that I found this channel. I have been debating on going natural for about 7 years now but never actually did it. i decided to go ahead and do it recently, I havent had a relaxer in 2 months. This is going to be a long process but it will be worth it (kind of like being pregnant, lol). Anyway I need a lot of suggestions on best shampoo to use, when to clip ends, how to keep hair from looking dry, things like that. Much love and keep the movement going!! BTW I LOVE YOUR HAIR!
Thanks for the tutorial. Tried something similar on my two year old locs, but couldn't figure out what to do with the front part. Will try your hump - sure it will turn out well!
@BeautifulBrwnBabyDol Definitely helps for those who are new to your channel. I always appreciate that when I've stumbled upon someone else's channel. Although their subbies may know their hair history it's an easy way to not have to watch a list of their other videos (at least at the moment) to get some background on their hair (possibly for a style you might want to duplicate) and how it may or may not suit you.
This is a great hairstyle! I have texlaxed hair but I still have my natural curl pattern ( its just looser) Since my hair isn't as striaght as regular relaxed hair or as curly as natural hair I wanted to find a hairstyle that worked and imma try this out! thanks! =)
I love it. I have to try this. I'm trying to get more into the protective haristyle mode since I had to cut some of my length due to raggedy ends..LOL...I need some of your butter!! xoxoxo
@sexxichocolate23 Thanks love...however, if you watch ALL of my videos, there are consistently questions about the length of my hair......But thanks for your observations.....blessings.
I love you twist method; I tried it about 2wks ago. I'm taking down now; because I plan to wash this wkend. What is your best inexpensive moisturizer? I am on a quest; my hair is so dry, help please!!!!!!! God bless
Thanks for sharing your method. I am going to try this tomorrow. I am trying to learn how to twist and cornrow. It has been such a challenge. Your video Makes it look so easy. :-)
Quick Question: When you do your twist on wet hair/freshly washed, do you have a problem with them unraveling throughout the week or how ever long you keep them in?
@skye13184 My point was that she clearly said in the video that she braids the roots because it makes the hairstyle last longer. But there you went asking the exact same thing. It is rude to not pay attention to someone and then ask them questions that they already answered, i.e. extremely unnecessary questions.
I do and I hate it!! I don't think there is a way to prevent it, just to minimize it. Keeping it as detangled as possible. A told a friend about washing in sections and that has helped her a lot. But kinky hair coils around itself so there is not way to avoid it.

I love the way you explain every detail, it helps a lot and your voice has such a good clarity to it that anyone can understand what you are saying.
I love how you show your hair in different states and how you play with it. It shows what really happens with natural hair.
I love how you put your old intro at the end. I love the song and am glad I still get to hear it! Also loved the new intro.
I'm loving this! I'm wearing braids for the 1st time ever and have been natural for about 6 months. Can't wait to try it for Valentine's Day dinner! 2 cute!

i love this! thanks for taking the time out of your schedule to share! truly a blessing!
Love this style!!!! You shoul write a book of styles for natural hair!! Awesome!!
I know you've posted this years ago, but I've been getting relaxers since I was 10 and I have no idea what my natural hair looks like. I'm proud to say that I'm beginning my natural hair journey and your videos have inspired me!!!

The twist at the top of your forehead is a sort of retro, really cool, almost 40s kind of touch! Very nice video. Thank you!

Gosh!!! I am so envious of your hair line & edges.

@sexxichocolate23 Thanks love...however, if you watch ALL of my videos, there are consistently questions about the length of my hair......But thanks for your observations.....blessings.

Were the twists in the back braided then twisted just like the twists in the front?
Quick Question: When you do your twist on wet hair/freshly washed, do you have a problem with them unraveling throughout the week or how ever long you keep them in?
easy peasy! very nice
Also, how often do you blow your hair out and on what temp? Thank you!
Question BBBD: how often do you blow-dry and dust twists?
funky and cute I love it
Im curious...why do you braid it and then twist it versus just twisting alone? Does the twist last longer?
what is your hair type? i'm trying to figure out mine..
ur hair is so thick! goodness i wish i had an ounce of the fullness
beautiful!
Can you use marley hair for this hairstyle?
Beautiful.
So what was going on in the background... found myself straining to hear what show or movie it was
what is that mascara you're wearing ???
Can you use Marley hair for this hairstyle?

What is your type?
damn i wish my hair was your length oh well..lol nice do
Keep talking about your hair girl, inquiring minds want to know.
Does anyone else get knots on the ends of their hair? I don't know how to stop that.
y dnt u just braid it all the way??
@skye13184 Just curious. Do you people actually watch a video and pay attention before asking questions that are answered IN the video?
nice girl!
niiiiiice
@1tinamarie11...she has earlier vids on how she detangles her hair (actually a few). Just dig :-)
that's just what I do. didn't know that anybody else did that.
I do and I hate it!! I don't think there is a way to prevent it, just to minimize it. Keeping it as detangled as possible. A told a friend about washing in sections and that has helped her a lot. But kinky hair coils around itself so there is not way to avoid it.
I have my hair like this right now thats so funny
