This profession is tough, but each day I am reminded that we are too. In this video I take you through two days in my life as a teacher. OMG I LOVE HOW you brought STEM into the class. I teach at a STEM school and working across subjects is so amazing. I tell my students all the time you do not have to be an english or a science person, they are all connected. The length you go to engage you students is AMAZING. I love that it is focused on making an impact and self love wow ;-; AHH I am going to use the idea about dressing up the sentences. SO CUTE. I love this too!!! 🥰 You can love stem and love art because they go together like peanut butter and jelly! 🙌 I remember feeling such a pressure in high school, especially when I was trying to decide my career and university path, to decide between stem and the arts but they compliment each other so well!

You are a few years older than me and I may graduate high school early depending on the situation. I would definitely love to be a teacher at some level, whether that is at a school or university or simply a writing workshop. Brittany Sinitch is certainly an inspiration. I have loved watching your journey over the past few years. I just finalized my student teaching placement for next semester as a secondary science teacher. Ms. Brittany, It is so nice to see a video from you. You are a wonderful teacher and I am sure you already know that. I always had a vivid imagination and open view of the world likely because I wrote stories and poems. When I was too young to express my thoughts on the page, I would be inventing stories in my mind. As students move from middle school to high school, they still have the wings of imagination constantly in their minds, but I just feel that certain classes or academic pressure to succeed can almost be a distraction to their self awareness and wonder. Imagination is definitely something I have preserved within me because I need it for writing and thinking. This is why I have felt that the traditional school environment was never right for me and I should have been homeschooled, but I have persevered on. I wish I had a separate class with a focus on writing. I have had English class, but that was never enough. I wanted more opportunity than merely such a class. I love you

I received my Human Resources Management certificate last month from my community college in the mail.
I have also been volunteering at the senior center.
I think you should continue making those types of videos for sure.
The type of video I would like to see next is self-care tips or outfit haul.

My students are struggling with writing all of a sudden and I don't know why. They've been fine up until this week. I really just think that they are just ready for a break. :)
they could be! this is a really, really hard year
@@fivefootoneteacher It has been. We are face to face, but we don't know for how long and I think the unknown is really adding to their stress. They are looking at us for the answers and we don't have them. I think it scares them.

I was in middle school until a few months ago. Enjoy this time. They are the best years.
How closely do you have to plan with your grade level teams? Are you teaching the same concepts but changing the lessons based off what the individual teacher wants to do? I’m just curious because I am a Kindergarten teacher and we plan really closely and do almost everything exactly the same.
I’m sure it is very different for a middle school teacher because you teach different classes and grades.
Just depends! I teach all grade levels, so I meet with the English department at the beginning of the year and see where they need support in writing

You make English sounds so easy I know for me I have and still do when come to English and reading struggle because I have dyslexia I am just wondering if u have any students who dyslexia what do u. Do to help them out do use any app to help with there dyslexia it make me wonder if I can really become a teacher someday and a business owner to open my own school for children with physical disabilities since I have dyslexia and cerebral palsy i would love if u could make a video of what resources that used for students that r struggling in ur class that have dyslexia

I feel like this is a weird question but I have always wanted to be a middle school English teacher. But I'm Very bad at math and I don't want to have to deal with that. Do you need to take math to become a English teacher?
It depends on what college you go to and what they require!
I'm studying to be a high school English teacher. At my school I was required to take some math. I was so bad that I had to take a math that didn't count as credit but I passed what I needed to! Just never be scared to ask for help! But if I can pass you definitely can.
I am a student teacher and I am having a hard time with students keeping cameras on. :( I feel really discouraged! Any suggestions?
I know it can be tough. Keep giving them opportunities to use the chat box, ask them some fun questions at the beginning of class--anything to give students a chance to share or talk if they'd like
To assign activities they enjoy and at the same time learn. Also activities that keep students' attention, games about the class, interactive activities. That’s what I do. I hope it can help.
