+thesouth50 been a long time ago. The problem with the 04's, the plugs had a tendency to snap off and required a special tool and more labor. I had 2 snap off, I want to say the 8 plugs counting the one that snapped off plus the rear cam phaser was $1500 but I can't remember exactly.
Mopar Charger mine has 209k and the engine is running strong. Only thing wrong with my truck is the transmission that is starting to slip. It’s at 209k though so a slipping transmission is understandable 😂😂
Speedy muffler really?! Why not just take it to pep boys. I have a 2004 with 110000 miles that sounds like a diesel. I sent mine to ford tech mako loco, used motorcraft parts not dorman. Replaced rocker,chains,oil pump, etc.
This is a really beautiful truck. I know this isn't for sale anymore, but if I had the money and space for it, I'd take it in a heartbeat!

I'm glad someone at least mentioned if steering wheel controls work with an aftermarket radio or not
They should work with an adapter, I just don't know what that adapter is.

I installed it myself. Very easy installation in this year truck. I've always used kits made by "Metra" they have always worked the best for me!

Is this engine reliable?.
Mopar Charger i never had any issues with it... but I only put 20,000 miles on it in 4 years or so.
