This brings back so many memories. Dad used to drive us down to Virginia Beach and Daytona Beach in one of these cars. I also learned how to drive in an 85 Parisienne Wagon. Great memories and great video!
My dad had a 86 olds wagon when I was little. Video brings so many childhood memories. My dad took me on a back road when I was 8 years old and taught me how to drive it! Never forget the back seat or the tailgate that could swing open like a door or drop down like a tailgate on a pick up truck
I'm telling you, this wagon is a BEAUTY!! Where do you still see em like this?????????????? Enjoy this amazing video!!! We are true enthusiasts! Thanks for watching!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Yeah, I remember when we had our family truckster, a 1980 Olds Custom Cruiser. My friends and I would sit in the rear facing seat and make faces at people or try to get truckers to honk their horns out on the open road. Strange to think that my Tucson has 6 airbags in it with lap and shoulder safety belts for everyone. The 1980 Custom Cruiser had no air bags or shoulder belts except for the driver and passenger in the front seat. When we went to Colorado from Kansas City on ski trips, (the speed limit back in the 80’s was 55 mph) my sister and I would sleep most of the way to Colorado. With all the seats down and the roof carrier for baggage, we had room to stretch out. I miss the days of my dad driving and my sister and I having the entire back of the car to sleep or play Monopoly or something. Good times.
Got 1986 Custom Cruiser aswell...located in Finland. Engine changed once, now '90 307. Condition quite good, though the paint is awful(looking it close). Late 80's because of the taxation, they removed the back seats and registered these as a van. But nowadays it is possible to change it back as a passenger car, but those backseats....where to find? Good car though...
This might sound crazy but what you need is a couple of dents in it. Think about it back in the day when these cars were all over the place almost all of them had dents in them.

Nice wood delete option! I actually love wood grain but it just doesnt hold up in cars that arent garaged
I drive a 1987 Chevy Caprice Estate wagon with the 307 and the rear facing seat.
