Lennie was a shoe in for panel games like Jokers wild & punchlines. He had a short partnership & TV series with Jerry Stevens & even eric morecambe said to him, "Youre a great double act." "No." said Lennie "YoU are." He was a foil for Kenny everetts jokes & ended up owning a seafood stall in Fleetwood. As he put it "You know youve left showbiz, when the phone stops ringing."
Brilliant.
Blackpool Comedian & TV Quiz master (Lucky Ladders) Lennie Bennett.
As funny as watching paint dry...Mick Miller would leave him for dead
And Punchlines
Which year was this recorded?
Around 1995
Lenny Bennett: nice guy...lousy comic...couldn't make a hyena laugh
A funny giy
That was painful to watch. It was about as funny as pulling teeth. He was seen as the next big comedian/gameshow host at one time but this was terrible. He was no Bob Monkhouse.
Oh so not funny 👎
