There is simply no Gamestudio that has the Manpower to put out so many Games with that good Graphics and Gameplay. So I hope that another Gamestudio walks in an spins up the market a bit.
Gameloft is a very hungry company you can't only feed them with your money. They also want to see you are suffering as a player/customer.

If we grade the mobile racers solely by its actual racing gameplay, Asphalt 9 is at the absolute top of my list. When I started playing it I expected to be some meh sort of game to kill my time but holy heck, if it wasn't for the speed tricks, exploits and extra air speed, A9 would've been just another boring arcade racer: this game has mechanical depth so deep it's utterly heartbreaking to see it get ruined by its monetization and progression methods.
Speaking about driving mechanics: your "Momentum" video was recommended to me, and I completely disagree with ya. You sorta conflated that "momentum" as _sense of speed_ and yes the NFS games do feel faster. But for A9, you _have_ to work that effort to go fast, and this ultimately means a higher skill ceiling and better players. You already know how slow A9 can be, so why not work against it and actually go fast? Once you do manage to maintain speed, finding every nook and cranny to take advantage of keeping the speed up, it feels so dang rewarding knowing you managed to conquer the sluggish and brutal new physics, effectively blazing through a twisty circuit when you pour your heart and soul into every turn. That sort of gameplay beats NFS No Limits in every way.
I just wish devs can take some advice, or I'll make my own A9, with blackjack and hookers no less.

I will say that I prefer Asphalt 8 over 9, I don't really play that competitive like I do in A8 and plus not every single car is earned from BPs also I prefer the controls in A8 not A9. Loved the video man! :D
@red swine I'm talking about the manual controls, in A9 the car slows down to a crawl when turning. I did try the touchdrive and it seems like a better option but it can get fairly boring.
A9 is trash compared to A8 I'll never understand why companies have success with one game, then go around and NOT polish what made them the most money and clout. A8 = competitive racing
A9 = shiney trash for little kids
Asphalt 9 is much more skill based than Asphalt 8

In my opinion this game is not deserve the best game since GL made this game even more P2W and AI is messing up
It's not pay to win it's pay to win slightly faster. That's all shelling out money does, makes things happen a bit quicker.

The competition(Multiplayer) is cross platform in terms of racing pool size, but the Competition(leaderboards) are strict to platform I.E. PC, iOS, Android. Their is competition. I do agree that as the games life span continues the game will lose players do to outrageous pay2win retrictions. They more P2W it becomes the faster the player base dies off.
This holds true now even more than ever. Came across your video on the search of a worthy Asphalt 9 alternative due to their ridiculous pay2play approach. They just overdid it recently

When they shutdown Asphalt 8 they should release an complete offline version, adding money multiplier, letting the player to upgrade cars etc
I prefer playing all older Asphalt games (whether java, DSi or android) over 8 or 9 (8 is ok with mod apk). I only knew (and played) the Asphalt 2 DS version till 2 weeks ago then I searched for the franchise and was surprised it got big, since then I´m playing all other titles

I think your thoughts on A9 competition is only based only based on the lower leagues of MP (Maybe Platinum too). If were you race those in the higher leagues (Such as Legend or Master league) your thoughts would change drastically. Even in TLE's there is competition with those alien times to reach. I'm sure if A9 had no competition, everyone would reach Legend league easily but that's not the case.

I love A9 and I did 10 videos about it but the things that I don't like about it is that you Cant You cant use Credits to buy cars you have to get blueprints, and in Special Events you can't drive the Special event car throughout the event and It really pss me off
I have a question about progressing in A9: How do you get the corvette grand sport and other new cars like the huracan evo, Ferrari J50, and Mclaren 570s? Was there a car hunt for them or is the only way right now is using tokens on card packs? I'm like halfway from unlocking those cars and in multiplayer, i frequently see people having multi-starred cars like the ones I listed above.

Corvette GS had a car hunt recently and i got it up to 5 stars. The 570 had a car hunt many months ago too I heard. The J50 had a car hunt which I foolishly ignored. Quite recently too. Hurrican and Adventador J both had an unleashed event and you could do races with certain cars to get blueprints, as well as buying card packs. Opportunities continue to trickle down the longer you play.
Andrew Dockray Yeah I also foolishly missed the J50 and corvette GS thinking it would just scam me and become a waste of my time. One day i decided to do the pininfarina car hunt and i maxed out the BPs by the end of the event. Now i COMPLETELY regret not doing those car hunts... Do you think the j50, Corvette, and mclaren car hunts will come back for a second chance?
@@a_a7287 probably not man, sorry. We just have to accept we missed out on these, and vigorously chase the next cars. There are too many cars in the game for them to repeat hunts often.

I quit this game. I was a really advanced player but the flaws that werent fixed drove me up the wall.
Their most recent ad literally ripped off the trailer format for Watch Dogs games.
I wish they kept A8 as a legacy game and DIDN'T update it with all the bad monetization and changed it
I've played A9 for about 2 years and deleted it just now, it's just watered down garbage that doesn't reward your skills. (Seriously I set elite times in this game above the average player and yet my garage is STILL mid garbage which isn't competitive enough to bother playing online)
There will be NFS mobile soon if it comes internationally, open-world and also has ramps and asphalt-like nitrous. Also the ever-delayed Racing Master but in the sim-cade side

I love the whole A9 game but what keeps me not playing it is because its not offline like A8. All asphalt series are playable offline. (A9 is offline on the nintendo switch but still)
Is anyone else having a problem with the android version of the game "crashing" midrace and restarting, forcing you to having to redo the race?
I play on PC and I have weird "disconnecting" issues at times (it won´t reconnect so I´m not getting any rewards)
and 5 years later, the game is still ass, this was the worst game i ever played
I installed asphalt 9:legends with a cellular network with difficulty,set it on max graphics and when I played it,I was shocked because it does not have free movement of car like asphalt 8,I soon deleted it😔😔

As of right now, not really. Races are short and you don’t have a lot of control over your car. The game doesn’t feel very good right now, unfortunately. I may take a closer look it it once it’s fully released.
3 years into the future, and you can basically do nothing in asphalt 9 unless you pay. Basically all f2p friendly SEs provide meagre rewards, and all SEs with good rewards are p2w. You can't even get any of the newly added cars after each update because they are almost always locked behind a p2w SE or Daily Event. Even on PC there really isn't a good f2p arcade racing game other than asphalt 8, and I don't think I'm ready to transition to A8 from A9.

The major reason I'm still paying to win on Asphalt 9 is because there's no equal out there.
I mean, NFSNL is cool and all but !
It doesn't even come close to Asphalt 9 in terms of gameplay and overall enjoyability.

Honestly I just feel like this is an issue with mobile freemium games in general. I had a question, though: I loved the Apshalt series as a kid. I have a PC now and was wondering if there were any good non-f2p alternatives to Asphalt on PC? Honestly wouldn't mind shilling out $60 for a similar game that doesn't have a frustrating progression system like A9.

You are right about that it will become more pay to win because gameloft is all about that. But at the same time i wonder: is that not why asphalt extreme failed so big? And gangstar New Orleans failed? Are they just repeating old mistakes? I wonder how this will play out in the future. Gameloft is in the prosess of destroying all their legendary series.. mcv, gnola, asphalt extreame, dungeon hunter champions are all failed games from what used to be big sucsessful series

Real racing is pay to win too and assoluto racing is better in every way.
Though assoluto has p2w aspects too, you don't have to wait for upgrades etc...

Real racing 3 is also a game where you have control of your car and in asphalt 9 its a lot worse than other games its pay to win as hell per example look at the multiplayer matchmaking system its not based on what rank your car is its based on what rank you are in multiplayer and thats bad because you could be in a terrible car in platinum leauge and ur going against one of the kings of class a also another problem is that legends leauge players will get in your lobbies so lets say a class s car goes against a class a or b car wich one is gonna win lets be real and also its super pay to win.

not everyone can afford a pc or laptop that can play the dam game i played asphalt 8 airborne for 4.5 years now and i still play but not as often ,the upgrades on the cars are way to expensive ,,a lot of times the events are only geared for the rich and i get my racing fix from that is enough but racing and smashing your oponents around the track is not racing especially in multiplayer mode is bullshit most people that play it dont know how to drive in the first place yet alone have a clean race and win fairly,,so i say stick ur asphalt 9 where the sun dont shine ,,,put that in ur pipe and choke on it lol,,peace and love be with you and all life forms.....
