    I honestly think you are stunning. I love the blended blonde and gray situation, you carry that look sublimely. I have curly hair and have never chemically altered my hair in my life. The gray has subtly been coming in for a few years now and I love it. I keep my hair trimmed and I find that maintaining the health of my hair keeps me young and current. Keep up the positive vibes. 😁

    Your light hair suits you soo well! I even like it better than the dyed dark brown before pictures. It does not make you look older either. Gorgeous.

    Thank you for making this video. I wish I'd found it sooner. I grew my natural gray hair out and it was just so unflattering. I added highlights with high lift color and my hair is so much better looking. I only go in to get it retouched 2-3 times per year. I wish people would do more videos like this showing how you can embrace your gray with color. It's not either or.

    Your hair journey is what got me started watching you! I'm on 2.5 years since any dye touched my head; I had extremely dark hair and quit cold turkey. It was tough for many months but the aspect that you speak about of being freed from the feeling of HAVING to dye it (every 2 to 3 weeks for me)is one of the best feelings I have ever had. I think the lighter tones actually make you look younger, and I've had people tell me the same. At a certain age, dark hair begins to draw a face down IMO. Anyway, thanks for sharing your journey and being an inspiration! ❤

    Your hair is gorgeous. In fact, it's how I found your channel! I saw your hair and had to see...I love the gray with the highlights. I'm so tempted to try it. I started my gray journey almost six years ago, and I like it fine, but it sometimes looks flat to me. I think the highlights add so much dimension, and I love how they don't hide the gray. It can feel so all or nothing, so this in-between approach is great.

    Your hair looks terrific! I also grew out my gray at the same time during the pandemic. As you pointed out, the touch up coloring around the crown was creating more problems; it was causing hair loss and shedding. That is why I bit the bullet and just lived with the demarcation line. I also left my hair long utilizing headbands and scarves as coverups. The real plus to not coloring were the new baby hairs. It grew in very streaky and I love it. I also have a different skin tone than you; it's cooler and I believe the coolness of the silver works better. Your use of incorporating warmer blonde works really well for you.

      I too have noticed many more baby hairs! I'm so glad you had a good experience with growing your hair out and that the silver is working for you!! Thanks so much for watching and commenting, I really appreciate it 🥰 XOXO

    This was very enjoyable to watch! When you showed your initial picture with your dark hair I was like “whoa!” Because I didn’t remember how dark it had been! That’s cool that you can look great with dark or lighter hair.
    I’m 39 now and I have little errant white hairs popping up around. I tweeze them 😬🤣oops. But I know at some point it’s going to be a lot more vs one here and there. We shall see what the future holds for me. I have had very dark hair my whole life, never dyed it or highlighted it. It’s been amazing, but now I’m seeing how once you start getting some whites to grays, they REALLY stand out against the dark hair, haha.

    I absolutely love your hair with the highligts and lowlights. I love that blended look you were talking about. I am a brunette and I dyed my hair from the age of 16 years old. At the end I didn't know what tone my natural hair had. When I was 37 and pregnant. ( I only have one doughter) I stoped dyeing my hair. I had a a little bit of gray but not much. But afther giving birth I decide to dye again and ceep my hair again like before. But afther become a mother my hair changed. I it was straight before, and now I had much more cruls. I decide to grow out my pixy cut to longer hair again. And about the same time I decide to not dyeing anymore. Today I am happy with my natural hair. And finally embraced the cruls. For some reason that was the hardest part for me. But my natural hair is still pretty dark with some gray in the front and on the sides. But I see myself doing highligts to when my gray becomes more prominent. I think this blended look with the soft blond and gray and brown looks so nice.

    Your hair looks gorgeous Trish! I move around a lot and have worked with many different stylists. I have some gray hairs coming through, I've found it is imperative to find a stylist who understands the graying process and who specializes in highlights. It is a skill that not everyone is trained in :)

    Trish, I"m slightly olive like you, so when I decide to go gray, I'll bring in your image. In the meantime, recently switched to all natural hair color. It's a bit of a time-cost, because I have to travel to a special salon. I'm hoping all natural options become more prevalent as the news/research circulates about the potential harm of long-term use of the typical permanent dyes.

    • @TrishV1
      @TrishV1  10 месяцев назад

      I feel like olive tones can be tricky when it come to gray, so happy to be of assistance, lol! And I agree with you, the more option out there for more natural hair dyes the better! Thanks so much for watching 💗☺

    Trish your hair looks gorgeous. I have some gray but not so much I have to color every 4-5 weeks. I go to the stylist about every 8-10 weeks for color ( highlights twice a year ) . I’m an older woman and I figure if I have a few grays no biggie . It’s so freeing I’am sure not to have to go to the stylist but go because you want a refresh. That’s how I look at the whole color thing . My salon uses Aveda products which have quality ingredients and is environmentally friendly.

      Love a good refresh! And isn’t it so nice only going to the salon every once in a while? Makes it much more enjoyable IMO ☺️

    I missed you. I stopped getting updates on when your new videos drop. Glad I manually searched for you. I love your gray hair with the highlights. It looks so good and like it’s naturally coming in with high/low lights. I’m going to look into getting highlights that will blend in since I’m over dying my hairline and having to do it so often since that’s where all my gray is. Any recommendations for eyebrows? I just turned 55 and my eyebrows look like I’m 70😢. I heard stress will cause quick graying of the eyebrows. I’ve started to use an eyebrow pencil but not so happy with the color. I’m using the Chantecaille brow color pencil with brush

      I don't have any recs regarding eyebrows, I don't use any products with color in them. I think you can dye your brows, but I've never done it!

    Unfortunately not all of us get nice salt and pepper gray. Remember that you might not get the cool pretty colors you see on many videos, even with purple shampoo. I did a few yrs of grow out and the bangs and some areas around my head were a pretty silver. The rest of my hair was a strange brown color which after about 2 yrs I am ready for change. I dont want to add dye and chase the gray again BUT I do want a nicer tone than I have. I decided to bleach and tone to a lovely silver color. This way I can grow out gray and it will blend without using dye. My hair is healthy so the process went well.

    • @TrishV1
      @TrishV1  6 месяцев назад

      I would also add that cool colors don't look good on everyone, even if you can achieve those pretty tones. Warmer tones look better on me. That's why the highlight/lowlight combo has been working for me, I think it's much more flattering.

    I let the gray come out for about 6 months. I recently dyed it again and feel and look younger. Grey hair can be beautiful, but it's not exactly youthful. Just being honest.
