+sarahi lazo you can "sort of" go back - if you get a chance to see Ringo or Paul McCartney in concert, do it! Both of their sets are loaded with Beatles songs along with their own. I saw Sir Paul in Memphis a couple of years ago, and it was the best concert I've ever seen, I'll never forget it. Three hours, about 35 songs, non-stop. No intermission, no opening act, just Paul and his band. He even played "Paperback Writer" on the guitar he used when he wrote the song in 1965. Awesome!
@lein lairepmi Haha :D I was actually talking with respect to what is shown in the video. All the colourful figures popping in from here and there in the video just made me think of it that way. :)
You can tell how much influence that U.S. 50's Rock and Roll had on The Beatles as they did covers and usually spot on of just about every 50's icon you can mention.
0:49 This is based on a true story form the touring year of 1963, with their busy schedule they had to travel a lot of places in few time, so this one time (I think it was Mal Evans) broke the glass of the van so the visibility gets better; but it was freezing, so The Beatles had to stack up on each other to keep themselves warm the rest of the trip.
i thought it was a reference of Buddy Holly when he joked about freeze to death to his friend when he took a van, then his friend replied that Holly would die on plane crash. that joke ended up as a traumatic experience to his friend for the rest of his life...

When I was in my early teens, in 1964, I often slept with my radio turned down low. I remember hearing this song come on and it became part of a dream, then finally woke, very touched. As soon as I hear the song since, it takes me back to my upstairs bedroom, one wall completely covered in Beatle photos and posters. Hit Beatlemania head on. Saw them live in Detroit in 1966, just a couple weeks before they stopped touring for good.
The first time I listened to the Beatles, I was 11 and now I'm 59. I still listen to them everyday on my way to work and way back home, in my car. The only music compared to theirs is the music of Mozart, Beethoven and Bach. Long live the Beatles.
These boys are so dear to me, I’ve loved them since 1977. The thing that makes them so special, is their relationship with each other. Modern bands try to present that same magic, camaraderie, but it it’s phoney & it shows.

Buddy Holly's career lasted less than 2 years but when he died at 22 he left behind a lengthy catalog of music many of which he either wrote or co-wrote. He only had 5 songs reach the Top 40( 2 of them posthumously) but he had barely scratched the surface of his incredible talent. Buddy is the single most influential artist ever. No one else comes close.
yes, holly and eddie cochran, both, had short careers but lasting influences on american music. one thing the beatles did real well was to, not just cover songs, but imitate the original recordings almost to perfection, but with a beatle magical touch. did you see me there? at the airport cheering the beatles NY arrival? no? good. because i wasn't there. i was waiting for them at the heathrow airport and they never showed up. i guess they thought they were just too big to come to heathrow just for me. they prefered hanging out with ed sullivan instead. oh, the pain, the pain!
I was 4 when the Beatles came to the US, my older sister had all the records so the Beatles are my first and oldest musical memories. I can’t remember a time in my life without their music, it literally has been the soundtrack of my life. It never gets old, it never sounds dated or old fashioned, it is timeless and perfect. I hate time. I wish it was 1964 forever when life was simple and filled with joy.
I was 13 when the Beatles came on Ed Sullivan. Unless you were there, it really is not possible to comprehend the incredible cultural impact they had, especially on those of us in our early teens. The Beatles were the subject of every conversation for weeks. The entire youth of America were completely thunderstruck by them. And believe me, there were a lot of us sixties kids. More people then under 25 than over 25. We knew these lads were special, incredibly talented, and that their music was indescribably great. And the world changed stunningly and irreversibly the moment the Beatles music hit the scene. Looking back, those were such happy, innocent, magical times, hinting of the cultural explosion of the sixties that was about to rock the world. The Beatles' message transcends the limitations of time because, like that of the immortal Mozart, it's about love.
Same age as you, my friend, same experience. Any American 13 year old boy at that time aspired to be the Fifth Beatle and/or 008. Closest I've come is owning a Gretsch Country Gentleman like George played and a Walther PPK like James carried. I'll never sell either one.
Perfect, perfect, perfect. Everything was perfect for them to do what they did. The stars all aligned and they were the most well-known, and popular people on the planet. And it lasted until they chose to end it. There’s really no explaining why, it just was. They literally had it all.

The Beatles sound as fresh and as exciting here in November 2013 as they did 50 years earlier. This is an amazing video clip, so wonderfully constructed and presented. Any of their original compositions would have worked just as well here; however, their version of Buddy Holly's "Words Of Love" is perfect, showing us that they could, and did, indeed, know how to cover other artists's material and make it their own. Well done, lads!
Excelente!!! Amo esta banda!!!! Lo mejor que le ha pasado a la humanidad musicalmente!! Gracias por el video!! John, Paul, George, Ringo están vivos en cada nota y acorde que suena en cualquier lugar rincón del planeta!!
The Beatles play Buddy on the BBC 😁 If Buddy Holly had lived longer, he would have been glad of his musical influence, like other early Rockers', who set up modern music,....so lived and recorded, and collaborated with music friends,...Buddy, Richie, and J.,P didn't have that chance -their families know, and Waylon J', who played at the last concert in Iowa, and other Rock and Country, and The Crickets, carried on with the music. I got into Buddy Holly seeing "American Graffiti" and "the Budy Holly Story" movies in 1978. The first 45 single I bought was "Peggy Sue/Everyday" when my Brother bought Foreigner's "Hot Blooded". Glad The Beatles, The Hollies, etc. carried on Holly music!
I saw them live in June '64. it was a life changing experience....I've never stopped loving them. this is an interesting clip of a Buddy Holly song, well done!

The world really went from black and white to color with the Beatles.
I wish I could have a time travel car and grow with them, the Beatles maniac and their music 🥺❤️ I love them so much 😭 thank you for this fabulous video, it makes my day ❤️❤️❤️❤️🌊
You mean you want a DeLorean (or any car) with a built in flux capacitor to send you back to 1962-1970.
We grew with them, but there was no such thing as MTV, only the Ed Sullivan Show.
Que emocionante es esto, luego de tantos años no dejan de ser sinónimo de perfección para muchos. Quiero llorar, que emotivo video (':
Still waiting for the next video... '-'

LAS CONVIERTEN EN ORO
The song is simple but really hits the point. It is still good to listen and remember so many things of those bygone times.
I wish I could live in the 60s even if for a day........
Watching this video makes me so much want to experience Beatlemania.......
Crazy how much they changed the world as it stands through music.
early beatles fills my heart with joy
THE best band in the WORLD!!
The Beatles play Buddy on the BBC 😁
If Buddy Holly had lived longer, he would have been glad of his musical influence, like other early Rockers', who set up modern music,....so lived and recorded, and collaborated with music friends,...Buddy, Richie, and J.,P didn't have that chance -their families know, and Waylon J', who played at the last concert in Iowa, and other Rock and Country, and The Crickets, carried on with the music.
Beatles are the greatest band.
The Beatles are everything
The best rock band of all time..
Señores y señoras! La BEATLEMANÍA...ha vuelto!

I love those Beatles, but George was so stinkin adorable. He had that million dollar smile. The baby Beatle.
He was indeed an adorable baby Beatle joj 😍🥰
Definitivno su to ikone pop-rok kulture i ljudi koji su snagom dobrih vibracija i originalnom muzikom zauvek promenili ovaj svet.
This is one of my favorite Beatle covers and the Beatles are my ALL TIME favorite musical group. Plus, the video was real good too.
This is such an amazing and beautiful video! I'm so happy about this! I definitely love 1:49 where it's almost as though their fans' souls are following them on the plane. Lovely. Absolutely lovely.
When I think back to those days...pure MAGIC!
We are lucky to have You Tube to take us back.
Was born May 1963 start of Beatles' stardom! At age 7 or 8 I grew to appreciate their music being aired in am/fm radio stns. Todate I never grew tired of hearing their songs/music especially all of George Harrison's self composed songs and songs of the Traveling Wilburys!
The Beatles espetacular, sensacional. The Beatles para sempre!
Beatles for ever! Saludos a todos los fans alrededor del mundo desde Lima, Perú.
Just one video WTF, I think the beatles more than deserve there own channel
Yes! Especially since how their music isn't mainstream anymore, having their songs on a channel could make for a lot easier viewing of their songs, since they'll all be available to watch! :D
Wibbly wobbly timey wimey
Beatles FOREVER
My favourite song ❤
Wonderful young men. Those were the good old days. Good music not like today's non-sense. THIS IS REAL MUSIC
Beatles is love, Beatles is life
Beatles ARE plural.
Dany from The Warning said that also
@@fredpearson5204 😂😂😂😂 it's a reference to Shrek is love, Shrek is life
@@yellowfuzz292, sorry, I'm an adult and was unaware of the childish reference, and I only speak using proper English grammar. By the way, "Shrek is love, Shrek is life" is grammatically correct. Subject-verb agreement: check it out--you should have learned it in third grade. Laugh at that, asshole.
