    I greatly appreciate your common sense approach to photography as apposed to just creating a video on the latest and greatest gear. I too have the 250D and it is very capable of taking excellent photos as long as I understand and stay within it's limitations. I have often heard the "weakest link" analogy but never as it would apply to photography. Good point. Looking forward to your next video. Have a great afternoon.

    Both good pictures, but I really like the tree by itself with the bright colours of the tree and dark background it really pops it got my attention right away. I do think the polarizer makes a big difference and prefer the photos with their use. Good video this morning, have a good week Joshua.

    As for the tree with the falls and the tree by itself, I really like them both. I am using the EOS R7 and the T6 with the K&f filter and have had no problems. Thanks for doing these videos. It is letting me to break out my T6 more often. Keep up the good work.

    Also love the K&F CPL... truly value for money. Enjoy both versions of your compo: not sure it's one or the other. It's not a choice as in which is better; rather, it's that each tells a different story.

    thanks Joshua. l have the same camera/lenses set up as you (based on your recommendation of the 250d) and, coincidentally bought the filter you have reviewed just last week. only had the chance to use it once so far but l am pleased with the results. l prefer the shot with the waterfall but wasn't sure what impact the filter had on the waterfall. of course l am only looking at my tablet so difficult to tell.

    I bought that budget priced (£16) pol/filter some time back, but I have to be honest I can't tell any difference in the results, it does look very paler than the others I have, I do have a collection of very old Pola filters but they are too thick and cause bad vignetting, so they had to be replaced, I know it will be well used when the right time comes. I liked your pictures this week and on my monitor they all looked identical. Thank you for the advise it always comes in handy...

    Joshua, while I know K&F do do some good filters, and I have a set of square ones, I had the unfortunate experience of buying a 67POL from them that was so bad I put it in the bin. I took with/without pics and sent to them also just to let them know that quality control was slipping. The lack of sharpness through the POL was insane. In fact a no name that was in the back of the closet performed better. Even so, I understand a one-off and wouldn't hesitate to buy more square filters from them.
    Enjoying your photography with a basic Canon set up (which I did for a number of years too with the EOS600D and 18/55 pre stm)

    Both good photos but personally I'm drawn to the one of just the tree. To me the tree is the main subject and too much of the waterfall distracts the eye. Perhaps a crop with just the top half of the falls might work?

    Agree with your spending philosophy. I use close up lenses all the time, that is just what I do. Decided to improve on the Neewer close up set I had and bought a Hoya set. Much happier with the Hoyas. Probably not much difference, but I feel more comfortable with them than the Neewer set. Just realised I should try the Neewer polarizer too, just to see if it works on my machining videos. If it does I will get a better one. You seem to be creating a lot of photographs that you took using a TLR lately. LOL Do you like the square format or is that just the shape you want for the image concerned? As for these photos, the waterfall makes all the difference for me!

      I just felt that a square composition worked best in this situation. The surrounding foliage was really messy so excluding it with a square crop helped 😁

    between the Hoya, B&W and Heliopan filters, my collective polarizers are made by those 3, the hoya is by far the worst, and the B&W are the best. heliopan are a bit bulky and not much different than the B&W

    I dont think a polariser will cause any chromatic aberrations since its a flat piece of glass and doesnt bend light where the prismatic effect occurs, causing Lateral CA.

      Auto

    • @dwelker3778
      @dwelker3778 Год назад

      @@TheJoshuaPeg I think that that setting compensates for the color cast of the filter. This is what I usually use when using the CPL, but if I use a different white balance, the color cast is more noticeable.
