Thanks a ton for this video. There is no comparison like this on the internet, and it helped me out with my recent purchase of the K&F Nano X ND(2-32)+CPL filter. Best thing ever for video work

I have just invested in a set Of K&F ND's and CPL. and blown away with the value of the filters. This is my first set of magnetic filters and the ease of use is amazing added to that is how compact the case is which takes up so little space in my bag.

    It was a good comparison,
    Tiffen always gives color tint,
but tiffen's black pro mist is clean, haven't used its only CPL
K&F looks good in your comparison, but in my experience KF gave me color tint,
im looking for best cpl at the moment,
Maven's magnetic problem , you're the only person I came across saying this, so I really appreciate this,
i went with Nisi variable ND

Thx for the kind words! I've heard great things about the Nisi filters. I know a LOT of people who use them exclusively. The only time I like to use the pro mist filter is at night to get the blooming of the lights. Otherwise, I find it softens the image a bit too much for my taste. But I have seen others use it creatively and it works awesome!

After trying a ton of filters, I personally like the Freewell M2 filters with step rings. I find that the magnets are strong and the pricing is really good. The step rings handle both threaded and magnetic filters. Lastly, the lens hood fits!

I've heard good things about the Freewell system as well, but they are double the price of the K&F filters. In terms of quality, the Maven filters are by far the best I've ever used (including Lee). Ultimately it comes down to personal preference and budget - glad the Freewell's are working well for you!

Hi Randumb, thank you for this great video.I do mostly indoor product video shooting and outdoor travel filming with my sony apsc camera, I'm wondering which is better for me , CPL+ND2-32 or CPL+ND4-64?

    • @RandumbTech

I would think a variable ND would be best that includes both 32 and 64. The K&F Concept one that I review in this video would work really well for you!

Thanks! I've been researching ND filters for photography and the K and F seem to be the best for the money. It was also good to hear your experience with magnetic filters. I do a lot of hiking and was worried about them falling off of the lens. I do think I'd like to get individual filters rather than a VND. Have you tried out any of the K and F of that type? Thanks again for the overview!

Glad it was helpful! I've been impressed with the K&F for sure. I haven't used any of the fixed ND filters, but I'm sure they are also high quality. If you are hiking, I would not recommend magnetic filters (unless you plan to take them off after every use).

I'm surprised you said K&F offers color neutral results because I screen capped your video and the K&F gives a heavy yellow tint compared to the no filter one. The Neewar CPD just didn't work and gave the same yellow tint, was it even turned on? 🤣🤣 Is it something wrong with RUclips? Or is it just me? I do agree the Tiffin offers quite color neutral compared to the no filter shot though, and CPL of Tiffin and K&F did give a much more vibrant color on the trees.

I didn't notice much of a color cast with the K&F filter, but there may be a slight one to it. Some of the others were way off, so I guess it's all about perspective. I'm still using it regularly and am happy with the results.

I like the cheapest ones b/c I inevitably lose or damage them in some way. Im also over the “pro mist” I have ruined more shots using it than I care to admit

    • @RandumbTech

Pro mist is definitely on it's way out for everyday use, but I do still think it's a great filter to keep handy. I haven't lost very may filters over the years, but I've lost more than my fair share of lens caps!

@@HumzaYousafFilms sometimes the filters halation effect is too strong even at 1/8 if you are shooting in daylight. It’s a good to use for the most part
