- The Snoo is EVERYWHERE! You probably get a lot of ads for it. You see it on Pinterest all the time, your friends might be raving about it but you're wondering, "Do I really NEED the Snoo?" Does my baby actually need this? Is it really going to deliver you the wonderful night of sleep it promises? My wife managed to have her first sleep in 4 days after coming home from hospital and I sense that the snoo had a bit to do with it. Both her and I agree that if it broke down tomorrow, it still would have been worth the money.

Hi! I understand the reservations you have with the Snoo regarding their marketing tactics (I feel this way about most products I see mom-fluencers pushing in their videos, most luxury name brands, etc) as well as cost and potential parental dependency on product (ie. Incorrect use of product).
From a sleep habit professional’s perspective - what do think may be the pros or cons to a baby’s development of sleep practices, self soothing, sensory regulation, etc with Snoo usage? This was the sort of information I was hoping to hear from you. Would love to learn what you think, professionally speaking.
We originally had the Halo Bassinest which did not work for our baby at all. The vibration mode he barely noticed, the light was awful and the white noise could barely be heard. We bought the Snoo when he was 4 weeks and the change was instant. He's getting a great sleep, we're getting a great sleep and it means we're both enjoying our time together throughout the day. I highly recommend, especially as us parents aren't getting the help we need from family members due to the pandemic

@@KapitalElement if you really want a Snoo just rent it but the resale value is so good, you do better buying and reselling it because you end up paying less than what you would rent it for over the course of 6 months.

This is exactly where we are at. We have the Halo baby (6 days old) hates it and won’t stay a sleep. I’m thinking about renting the Snoo. I just wanted to make sure it was worth doing.

Great video! As a mom who made mistakes toward creating sleep associations and prop dependency with my first, I have no desire to try just one more expensive prop for my next baby. Undoing bad habits is soooo hard. Thanks, Becca!
Hey Lauren! I'm so glad you enjoyed this video. It's based off my experience working with many Snoo families and my guidance as what else we can do.
I understand your review. So what I did is got the snoo on discount for Black Friday (1495 all in including extra swaddles and sheets) I’m planning to only use during the 1st 3 months of her life when babies (4th trimester) when babies still don’t form any habits and cannot become dependent on the snoo then start sleep training baby around 3 months. And sell the snoo- they do retain their value and since it’s still going to be under warranty and only used for 3 month I’m expecting to sell for 1000$. Meaning the final cost is only 495$ This is worth it to me if it gives baby more womb like experiences in the nb stage when they need it and it’s also the safest bassinet out there.
Please update what you think and if you were able to sell it for a good price 😊
We just got it used for half the price and it’s amazing! We are using it for our 3rd child and it puts the baby to sleep in 1-2 minutes. Amazing!

Snoo is great when it works. Our second kid is now 3 months old, we bought the Snoo because it was much "cheaper" than hired a night nanny. Frist week home was great, everything worked as it should, baby would sleep in it and we were prepared with her feeding cycle. However, second week onward she started having colic from 11 PM to 4 AM, and Snoo was a no go, we had to held her in our arms for hours to calm her. The colic lasted for about a month and during that time Snoo was pretty much useless at night when we needed it the most. It's great when it works, but don't think Snoo can solve all your baby's sleeping problems.
Glad it didn't, that's what life is all about......Solve your own problems or better yet learn to live through them...
snoo works for me. I also bought 3 different electric swings also (4moms and munchkin brands). Life didn't change, just got easier overnight. I'm able to get more rest, get more work done. If you don't have a nanny or family help then these expensive gadgets will pay for itself in a couple of weeks. Also with the edge taken off I find i can help, interact and sooth the baby more effectively. Baby also smiling and more well rested since she got all these fancy devices. I look at these "props" more as tools. Using tools is what make us smart humans. I'm sure there were people at the turn of the century saying not to take the easy way out and spoil your family with a motor-less carriage. ha imagine farmers resisted using tractors and kept their houses, ox and donkeys? (Some did, i think omish and Mennonites) Screw that the future always is paved with technology, I'm not gonna fight it. ((education + props) > education)
There's no replies because you just said it all! Makes sense to me, if you want to raise your baby without gadgets that's great, if you want to raise your baby with gadgets that's great too.

I 10/10 recommend the snoo. Your video is the reason I didn’t get the snoo initially. I ended up renting it at 7 weeks, and I wish I had it the whole time. I think my EBF baby and I would have gotten more sleep, which would have been so much safer. My baby transitioned to her crib with no problems at around 5 months when she started getting up on hands and knees. I think the reason the transition is no problem is because their startle reflex is gone and they connect sleep cycles as they get older. You can order it on Black Friday to be delivered near your due date.

We bought a snoo for our 6th baby and would buy it again and again. Everyone slept so much better for that baby verses the others! I got the recommendation from another mom of 6 who used a snoo for twins (baby number 7&8), she agreed it was worth every cent!
Glad I came across this. I've been thinking I would like this for baby #4 (and #5, #6, and on and on) because I'd heard good things about it. But honestly my second and third babies have slept pretty darn well, I can probably do just fine without it.

thankyou that was really informative, and i agree the most important thing is for parents to get to know their baby their cues, and soothe them in more natural baby led ways, much prefer a next to me crib
My brother had one and it was perfect for baby 2, and their daughter weaned easily. Incidentally he won the exact amount of money he needed to buy it at a work gambling night haha. Ours was loaned to us by a friend. I feel like my son has enjoyed the Seattle the entire time - when I have had him in a crib he is restless and huffs and puffs ever since birth, and he was born 3 weeks early, so the snoo really was a great option for him (and it was free). I don’t think it would have worked for my daughter though. We are in the process of following the weaning steps, but developmentally he isn’t even 6 months so I think I just need to be more patient. Yes, they TOTALLY marked the heck out of it, I get emails constantly and I have one! But I think it’s worth it if you’re planning on using it with more than one child, or if you already have a toddler to chase and need a safe place for baby 2 (or 3 or 4 or however many you have) to be.

My husband is against me buying the SNOO because he says this is our last baby, but I haven’t told him that if we have embryos left after our IVF, I want to have another one pretty soon after because I don’t want our little girl growing up feeling like an only child since our boys are already 15 & 17 and will be just about 16 & 18 when I have her. That is a huge age gap. He has said if this was our 1st baby and planned on having a few more, it would be different. The thing is if I purchase it with our military discount and then resell it when we are done, I would be spending around the same amount I would on the Halo luxe plus or the Mamaroo bassinets. It is a lot of money but my sanity and being rested because my baby is sleeping well and is rested is priceless to me. I jus have a feeling with having 2 big brothers she isn’t going to be put down very often because they are already antsy wanting to know when everything is going to happen.
This has been the most convincing video I have seen on why I need a Snoo for my baby.

All I heard was: the Snoo works so well they should have one for the baby after the 5 months is up, because baby will fall in love with the Snoo and not want to sleep in a normal bed again.

Thanks for the video. I am a Mom with a 3-year-old daughter. I just went through all these difficulties on how to take care of a crying baby and i need to sleep/ eat / take shower/ use toilet at the same time. I think SNOO can help, and give Mom some time to take care of herself. However, I strongly doubt that we need any machine to replace Mom's smell and hug. Learning about my baby, learning about how to take care of baby's sleep/need are definitely not easy tasks. I will say SNOO proposes facing these tasks, and that could not be a good thing.
I used the wean mode on the snoo for a week. Then sleep trained in her crib for 3 days at 4 months. The transition wasn't bad. I just rented the snoo. It saved my sleep and sanity. I have also purchased the little z program 4-12 months 😊

@Lindsey Bailes I honestly think it's a good option just in case your baby doesn't like it. It really helped once my baby hit 6 weeks. She only would wake up once in the middle of the night.

I am not using the snoo, but the mama roo, which has motion. My baby is four months, and I started putting her down for naps at three months in the crib. She sleeps fine in the crib, but especially since she started the three month progression halfway in the third month, I’m so glad to have her in the mamaroo at night, so she can sleep longer stretches. She has been able to begin extending some of her sleep times on her own. She does sometimes have decent naps, connecting her sleep cycles, as well. We will be sleep training her in a few weeks (we have out of country guests since babe has turned four months old, when babies are old enough for sleep training, so we want things back to normal first), so I like that these compromises are working with us for now.

My husband and I are so excited about our first child which we understand will not remain a baby forever, but still want to enjoy this period and give the baby and us the best solutions for å better sleeping routine. We are still pregnant and we can't sleep 😕 😑 So we thought that was our future solution but no.

It pays to do research. Routines are important and later comes Routine + Schedule. Protect those and your life will be much easier. Also, all parents should learn about wake windows and sleep cycles. After knowing so much, a household with children that weren't raised with that being considered seems like absolute chaos to my husband and me.
The fisher price is good you need to clearly see the baby at all time
My favorite feature
So we really wanted this but the price tag was too much. I ended up getting the arms reach cosleeper. My baby would stir and wake up as soon as we put her down in it. She would only sleep in her podster (which isn't recommend for overnight sleep). We then used a graco swing and sleeper swing we got. It lays flat and it was the only way we could get her to sleep. We started putting her in it awake and she learned to soothe herself. We put her in her crib around 4.5 months with a Merlin's magic sleep suit and had no issues transitioning. I would also like to know what you think of some of the newer motion bassinets and cribs. 4moms has one now and graco makes a sense to soothe and they are much more affordable. There is also one called cradle wise that comes with a monitor and grows with baby but there is not much info on it yet.
We rented one out of sheer desperation when baby was 6 weeks old. We have the Halo Bassinet and tried time and time to get her down in it. It seemed like she didn't like being laid on her back and would roll to her side (she was swaddled) this made us scared. So in comes the Snoo. I like it for the most part but don't like how it pretty much straps the baby down. I don't know if it has been of really any benefit. I usually don't let it rock her back to sleep if she wakes or fusses- I usually intervene. Baby is now 15 weeks old and wakes once, sometimes randomly twice in the middle of the night for feedings. I think in the early days of just wanting to be able to lie her down it helped?? We are working on weaning her out of it and she has done well with arms out and no motion. Sending it back ASAP :)

My boy started rolling around 3 or 4 months so we weaned from the swaddle. Only took a few days for his reflex to adjust. Then he discovered his thumb. Thumb sucking + belly sleep when he was strong enough made him the best sleeper ever. I personally think it's dangerous to have a device to rock your baby back to sleep at the push of a button if they start crying at night. Babies cry for a reason. Last thing a baby needs is to be put into too deep a sleep or even worse disregarded
I like that you can strap them down with the snoo, so they can't accidentally roll over. No other bassinets have that option.
I’m trying the Snoo for #3. My first was colicky so wouldn’t have worked, my second was normal but I held him thru the “4th trimester” then very gently sleep trained him (rocked and shushed to sleep manually and let back little by little till I could put him down awake awake) between 2-3 months. He’s an AMAZING sleeper to this day (2yrs old) and that is my plan for the Snoo. Get through the 4th trimester with as little drama and as much sleep as I can then, gentle wean to awake awake!! If #3 is colicky, will need all that holding and more horrible sleep props but hoping the Snoo will let me tend to the other kiddos whilst baby sleeps…

A thumbs up for taking the time to make the video so thank you. But your points about marketing and price can be said about many products these days (Apple *cough*). It sounds like it works TOO well and the baby and parents become reliant on it. I think I am inclined to buy it just so we can both get some sleep during the first couple months
Yep many people love the options to rent a Snoo which is more affordable. This video simply shares my opinions on other options that are available!
In got my Snoo off of FB marketplace for $500. Granted, I got lucky, but if you want to save, that’s the way to do it. Even if you only sell for $300 when you’re done. It’s basically the same price as the lower model stuff.
@@littlezsleep if you think about it and do the calculation, it actually is usually NOT more affordable. Depending where you're located, you can resell the Snoo only a few hundreds less the original cost.
How about the Baby Bjorn is that a good option?
My daughter in law may have 3 babies under 2 next year. Is this a special circumstance that may help her? My son works full time outside the home and they live a 4 day drive away.?
Have the snoo and my baby is 6mo old. Baby has NEVER been a good sleeper. We got it when she was about 2.5mo old out of desperation. It’s helped here and there, but it isn’t the fix it prop I thought it wound be. What I do like is the swaddle and motion. I was terrible at swaddling and I’m often a one man show so getting up 25 times a night just isn’t feasible for me. The snoo helps when I’m exhausted. We’re not embarking on how to get her out to a crib and I have no idea how bc she still wiggles everywhere in her crib. Her crib is a”toy” for her bc she just wants to play with the wood, stick her arms and legs out of it, and doesn’t like how “big” it is for her. So.... we’re in trouble. Maybe when she’s 15yrs old it’ll be a better situation

Sleep is not a luxury!! I wish someone had PREACHED this to me last year when my son was born. I heard about all the expensive products and thought we just didn't have the money to buy a good night's sleep. 😥 Little Z's changed that for me and I wish I could just go around and tell every mom that they deserve sleep!!

@@littlezsleep It's amazing that with your negative review, the comments say differently. Is it expensive? Yes, to buy. There wasn't a mention of the fact that you can rent it from 1-6 months instead of buying it. For your future reviews, please include all information about the product. Also, transparency about giving a negative review while also plugging your sleep course would be helpful. In addition, include the number of positive reviews for your sleep course vs negative reviews in comparison to Snoo's positive vs negative reviews. Seems like a lot of info has been left out of this review. "I have NO experience with the Snoo" "My clients PROBABLY would back me up" "My clients aren't using the weaning mode like they're supposed to" "Try my sleep course instead". These are a lot of red flag statements.
Im an infant care taker and this thing makes it impossible for your child to learn how to sooth themselves or sleep anywhere else. I have a baby in my class that uses this at home and he will not sleep in his crib at school and he is absolutely miserable. They will sleep amazing at home in this thing but they will not learn any self soothing techniques if this machine is always there to help them out. A lot of parents don't get this perspective on things like this, im not trying to be negative but I wanted to share my experience from the preschool teachers side of it because I see so many parents commenting on here!
YES. This is another great point. Props from home not being able to transfer away from home!
Yeah, I have one and this is definitely the case. It did give us great sleep for a time. But now I need help just like anyone else. And she's never been able to sleep anywhere else. Also it shuts off the soothing sometimes right when it's finally working to help soothe her in the bassinet so she will at least learn to fall asleep there. Also since it has the required swaddle that out can't remove it's really hard to get her in correctly and stay asleep if she's already asleep, and to get her arms in the holes for sleep sack mode.
Thank you!!! 👏👏👏 I was an infant teacher for several years and kids who used these at home could NEVER sleep at school. It made every day miserable for them and miserable for the teachers and miserable for the other kids. They had zero ability self soothe, would be miserable not getting any sleep, would wake other kids up, and since the teachers had 7 other babies to take care of we couldn’t always rock them to sleep. Just made everyone miserable!
The snoo worked for a few months. I wouldn’t use it beyond 4 months. Our LO wanted to be in a crib so much more than in that crazy device.

We’ve tried all the methods with our first 2 boys, none worked. We didn’t sleep the first 6 months of our kids’ lives. We are trying a Snoo (used, less than a 1/3 of retail) for our new daughter. Our 40 year old bodies are even less tolerant to sleep deprivation than they were in 2018 and 2021. The snoo at this cost is cheaper than even a couple hours of a sleep consultant which would get us nowhere further than where we are at with all the online help.
I really wanted the Snoo but I couldn’t justify spending that amount of money. I didn’t buy a bassinet but wish I would’ve for those newborn days.
There are so many other bassinets available these days so that’s good news! Although some families just go straight to the crib and that’s fine too!
The other fun secret about the snoo is you buy it used for $700-800 and then sell it when you're done for... around $700-800. Boom, now it's free or close to it. ;)

She really didnt give an educated reason as to why you shouldnt get this..nor has she used it first hand.. she literally just doesnt personally like it because of 1.) over marketing 2.) It could make parents lazy 3.) Its expensive....

Hey Megan!! You’re right this video was just a run down of my opinion. There really are no studies done on the Snoo, and when it comes to baby gear there are certainly lots of options! My goal as stated in the video was just to share my opinion. Thanks so much for sharing your opinion as well!! Really appreciate the discussion here.
I can give you one good reason not to get it. It isn’t safe for sleep because it has something in it that positions the baby and basically straps them down to the bassinet. That goes against the AAP’s safe sleep recommendations that say you shouldn’t use a positioner for sleep.

Driving your car with baby strapping into it's car seat isn't 100 percent "SAFE", We can go on and on about how unsafe life can be, how unpredictable, I grew up in the 70s. when car seats were unheard of, never seen or heard of 1 car accident, I believe that when we are so mindful of every potential danger we fail to take proper risk, RISK! Not Precautions! The things that you enjoy the most in life came from the ones that go against the grain, step outside of the box, walk by faith, Dare to believe the impossible, while others at their best land great jobs for companies that they will never effect change in; but we NEED ALL OUR WORKER BEES!
Had two kids who are snoodles. We love it even if it’s not perfect.
I would much rather hold my baby and calm him in my own way rather than rely on some stupid machine bassinet to do it just so I can get another couple hours sleep that’s absolutely ridiculous. I’m not even gonna go there about the price.
What about vestibular system? Would not be too much? The constant swaying?

Mother and sister said they will be dedicating time to help so I can sleep. I also don’t want to rely on them. But I also hear the electric swaying bassinets like this is a life savor for having twins. But I would not buy the snoo that price for only 6 months let alone two!! Would you have any recommendations on bassinets or tips for getting twins to sleep? Still putting my baby registry together 🙂

Check out the 4moms Mamaroo, its a pretty new product with similar functions so I see on the comments its great but some people have mechanical problems with it after a few months.
You can look on fb market place..you can find ones that go $600..x2 that’s 2 snoos for the price of one! Totally worth it if you ask me! And the sell back price has been super consistent..you can sell them up to $900

I am looking to rent Snoo as chk many reviews n very satisfied. As its been 2.5months I am trying hard to calm my baby to sleep well n grow but not working naturally. Either he loves to sleep on me whole night that I can't go to waahroom nor I can change my position. It's creating irritation in me due to lack of sleep. Always he wants gentle swaddling movements shaking n on lap n in arms or on chest.
Appreciate ur video but not possible that we can do it naturally. This is my 5th baby all my other babies were calm n good but they also had this issue but not much for sometime....this baby seems to be hard to go to sleep.
N this Snoo is used for couple of months n it also have transition function well...I tried all other bassinets not working at all. So I will be going to rent this for my baby growth n to have healthy sleep.

Review the product, not your feelings on the use of “props”.
I just bought the Snoo. If you want to make it fit into your budget, do it! This lady acts like this is forever. It’s not meant to be. During the day, we have a second motionless bassinet for the living room so my baby will get used to no soothing and being awake more often. I’ll use the Snoo for an afternoon long nap. And at 4 months, we’ll start putting the baby in her crib at least once in the morning on her Newton mattress for naps to get her used to transitioning. As we get hit 5 months, morning in the cribs, 12:00ish Snoo, beyond that the bassinet until bedtime hours. 6 months we move to crib. Children will adapt. I’ve done this before without any help well before any vibrating bassinets of the sorts. I had a newborn and 1 year old. My first and second baby went right into the crib from day one. It was extremely hard but lucky for me I had 2 really good sleepers. Crossing my fingers on this next one!
The snoo's price is steep but it's great value if you plan on having multiple babies.

I had the Halo and I didn’t care for it. I think its faulty. I liked that baby was close to me but when I’d put my baby in the center of the bassinet her head was heavier than her feet so the bassinet would slightly lean a tad on the head side. LET ME TELL YOU that is a BAD BAD thing. Projectile vomiting from my baby. It was bad. At first because I was a first time mom I didn’t know. Then my husband and I figured it out and got rid of it. Called the company, no help at all. Waste of $$. It was also smaller and if larger babies went on it, I shudder to think of the balancing issues. With my second one, I’ll wait and see what happens how she does with directly in the crib but if I need a bassinet I will get something.
We are currently using a halo bassinet and love it. Have no idea what this other comment is talking about. Grateful we don’t share their experience, but have known many people

Hey Tara!! Bassinets in general are great for newborns and offer the firm + flat surface for babies to sleep. There isn't one bassinet that is better at reducing the risk of SIDS than another, but if a parent wants to use a SNOO for the features- that's fine! I just want to make sure we're educated and why the SNOO can sometimes fall short.
I just watched this after returning a snoo rental. There were some issues with software I didn’t like plus my 1 month old spat up easily no matter how long I held her upright or burped her. Level 2 would inevitably make her spit up so the motion limiter was no good since it includes that level. I also wanted to use the weaning mode from the start rather than implement it later. That had some more issues including not being able to lock the snoo from escalating to level 2 without overriding weaning more altogether.
I’m curious if you have more recommendations for a bassinet? My little one is super sensitive with her startle reflex and I think she would have a hard time even while swaddled.

A customer who has a negative experience is highly likely to share that experience by leaving a bad review. Especially after spending so much money.

From my observations the maker of the Snoo has an aggressive marketing tactic, they clearly pay for SEO to ensure only the best reviews make it to the top of Google, they have a very robust social media team combating against any negative comments on their social media. It’s quite interesting, I’m always wondering what they’re trying to hide.
With high costs sometimes comes unrealistic expectations which can result in folk who can’t really afford it, expecting it to be a literal unicorn of sleep and then giving it poor reviews …
I actually haven't seen much marketing but im also not on social media much...3rd time mom after 10 yrs... My first thoughts that looks like a straight jacket so I was like um no lol and also, im not sure i feel comfortable that the Snoo is taking over the roles of parents soothing thier babies naturally ...this video help me make a decision to finalize if i should get this or not. Honestly boobie milk and quick swaddle/rock my baby slept good I also know sleep is less first few months so im aware amd prepped
The major con is they act like they for enviroment but they refuse to sell parts like motors that are known to fail
Its just my personal opinion but really tight swaddles on babies just freak me out too much! Even in the early weeks i never put mine in a tight swaddle! I know the benefits & how it really settles some babies but i couldnt relax with mine swaddled too tight. I dont even put him in a sleeping bag any more ive got a favourite blanket i use its got a nice weight to it but its breathable.
My 4 month old has been in a tutti bambini next to me crib next to my bed since he was born.
Im not going to lie i do sway him to music to get him to sleep but ive found a knack to laying him down gently at the right moment so that he doesnt wake up as i lay him down.
God knows what i will do when he gets heavier though 😂! To be fair at that point im happy for him to sleep in bed with me. Im too scared of SIDS to have him in my bed just yet. God knows why i am even commenting on this when he's fast asleep in his own crib / cot but hey ho thats youtube for you 😂

Exactly!!! And a well rested momma is worth that plus some, hell it’s more expensive to buy a cup of Starbucks a day than it is to rent the SNOO or purchase it at that. I’m torn between the purchase and the renting, because resale values are so high and with my military discount, once I resell it, it’s will be cheaper than buying a halo or mamaroo bassinet
What about the Graco bassinet? It is similar in the way it works as far as motion. Would you recommend against that one as well? Do you recommend the fisher price one because it's a manual motion?

Ya, like if you click below her video for her sleep aid course at $50.00. Really?!!! Like the sleep deprived have a moment to read, much less comprehend what they're reading. Overpriced Snoop? Yes. As overpriced as her course. I don't know that a Snoo cost any less than a babysitter when you need one. And if I could afford a babysitter I'd probably trust the SNOO over the babysitter. If you can afford it is get it. The $50 I would not spend when the Dr who created the SNOO has anything and everything on helping baby sleep all over the internet for free and in his book and even DVD.

I disagree with this. My baby slept through the night almost from birth using the snoo. Weaning from the snoo was not a problem. We just followed the instructions and it worked beautifully. Yes it’s expensive. But you can get it second hand and sell it after your baby has grown out of it. That way it literally costs you nothing.

I'm sure it will be the same as SNOO in that she'll tell you to pay $50 for her sleep aid. Unless Cradlewise is giving her a commission like Fisher Price is. I used to trust RUclips but I have learned there's as many paid advertisers and sellers creating these videos as there are ads included in the video. Sad.

I have one and all these issues are true AND if your baby has reflux and you use the leg extenders and the motion it is NOT safe!!! Repeatedly happened that baby would gradually slide down and swaddle would be way too close to her mouth and nose. I also just generally dislike the swaddle not being transportable and having to get her in it and wake up from putting her in it. The white noise and motion stops abruptly. The app isn't my favorite and requires wifi which may not work well in your bedroom. It's also super HEAVY. But my baby for a while slept remarkably better than my first ever did, so if you want a few weeks of sanity to recover say from a c section and really don't want a lot of night wakings, this might be for you.

When I said it stopped suddenly I mean after it's on level 4 and hasn't soothed baby enough if baby keeps crying. But if baby is settling and moaning, that counts as a cry so baby could be close to settling and then bam, motion and noise shuts off. May be good for preventing parents from just not getting a young baby, but doesn't serve once you are 4 months+ trying to train baby to sleep in the snoo. Parents can transition into sleep sack mode with one arm out at a time which is nice, but I think many fail to. And the weaning mode gets neglected, too, so it can be jarring for baby to sleep anywhere else. I recently found my daughter when I left her in it to go pee and come back to pick her up she had her arm over the side and had lifted herself up, making me realize how short the sides are if you don't have baby strapped in. Before 4 months it can save some pain of doing the soothing and sleep props needed. This could make a difference for a recovering mom, since we don't get a break ever otherwise. Just use with caution. And wait for sales... They have them frequently!
This is a crutch for parents but not good for the baby. Babies go through ups and downs of sleep because their brains are learning to develop proper sleep phases. Babies need to learn to self soothe through these transitions in order to have healthy sleep habits when they get older. Parents should learn about wake windows, routines, and schedules before they have the baby. Then, when baby starts rolling, wean them from the swaddle and let them find their own comfortable position when they have good neck control. At 7w my boy showed his wake windows forming. We created a nap and sleep routine around it. At 3 months he started rolling so we weaned him in a few days from swaddle and into sleepsack. From there he found his thumb and slept on his belly which was the icing on the cake. After that it's just understand leaps and sleep regressions and how wake windows develop. I cannot imagine the chaos of parents who don't know these tips. I'd lose my mind!
I see a few babies getting shake syndrome from that bassinet. It's a hell no for me. That's what a swing is for if you motion
This just seems like a marketing video for your own courses riding on the back of the snoo product. I used the snoo for my son 5 months and weaned out of it, allowed me to stay engaged at work and minimim 6 hours a sleep a night. It tracks sleep patterns giving you peace of mind. Highly recommended for everyone.. even if you have to take a loan or rent it.. resale value is great
Hey Jonathan! I do of course recommend my courses for those who cannot use the Snoo. It's a great way to teach sleep foundations from the start. Like all things, if the Snoo worked for you- great!!! Sleep is the end goal.
If your baby is still using this after 6 months good luck! You won’t end up getting any sleep bc they are going to freak when they aren’t constantly being rocked. Think long term! If you want your baby to sleep well be simple about it

Babies should not be swaddled once they start rolling. We weaned our boy at 3 or so months. Took a few days, best decision ever.
Issue # 2 - it works so good that's its hard to get baby off of it lol. The real issue with this thing is the dang price.

Hey Kayla! Yes, it can!! If parents are using it I strongly suggest they follow the weaning guidelines.
Never used it for any of my 5 babies! Never would use it if I had another baby! Sleepless nights are normal for newborn/baby parents! I treasure those moments with my babies because so quickly those precious days go by.
My kids range in age from 20 years old to 6 months, and I parent now like I did 20 years ago. I don’t buy super expensive baby gadgets, just to make my life easy or make it so I don’t have to hold, entertain, soothe, etc my baby myself

I am a night owl, always been and I am guilty of tip toeing into the nursery and I just can't resist, sometimes taking my baby out of their crib I just sometimes need to smell even the baby's breathe. I may need the Snoo to leave the child alone!

Not loving the reasons here. Pushy marketing has no bearing on the product working or not. Parents not using the weaning mode because the product is working so well is nearly a positive for someone who will wean properly, and lastly the price which is really relative to someone's income.

So her non recommendation is largely based on a referral bias of parents who don’t follow instructions. Pretty sure the course also doesn’t work well for parents who don’t follow the instructions.
You can’t swaddle after they start to turn so I don’t know what your talking about when you say parents are using this from 6-8 months. That makes no sense.
You’re correct. Once babies begin to roll the swaddle needs to be dropped. However, I’ve personally worked with many families who continue to swaddle past this time. This is dangerous and is why I share in the video how important it is to get out of the Snoo.
I wonder just like any other gadget in the world, when people don’t follow factory recommended instructions, does it have to be the fault of the product? Just like swaddle? Its not just the bassinet comforting them, its more for when they grizzle, and a little rocking resettles them rather than disturbing them, and waking them up more by getting them out of the bassinet.
It might be expensive for you, but it doesn't mean it's expensive for others. Saying something is expensive is so subjective.

The Baby Bjorn and it is by far a great bouncer and no other bouncer compares. Overpriced? Yes. But so far unbeat. Is it the same for the SNOO. I have no idea from this review because it's not a review. I'm obviously angry 😡 about this.
