Watching this to see how I can support my wife in our nightly routine. Our daughters 2 weeks old and we love her so much. Being a dad has changed my life forever. That nursing at 3am ain’t no joke! I try to keep my wife company and have light conversations to keep her awake. The nights are tough but we are getting through it. Thanks for all the great suggestions in your video!!! Respect 💯

Congrats! Have you considered doing a dream feed from a bottle 2ish hours after baby goes to sleep for the night-- it can really help her get more sleep
My husband bought me a gliding rocker that reclines. This was if I fell asleep baby and I were both safe. He also makes my breakfast so I can sleep in as much as possible. The little things help a lot.

It will happen for you and it will be when you least expect it... I promise you... I felt the same way and one visit to the hospital (not pregnancy curiosity related) and the nurse told me I was pregnant I thought I was dreaming but it was very much real
It’s so comforting to see your baby wake up just wiggling about and even smiling most of the time (in this video). My newborn just wails and screams every time she wakes up 😅 makes me jump straight up to a sitting position in sheer panic 😆
Same! This baby looks so chill. Our baby is almost three weeks old and if it takes a second too long for me to react to his hunger cues in the middle of the night he will just start screaming at the top of his lungs. 😅 Still absolutely worth it for this cute little guy.

I remember those nights. Watching this makes me miss them so bad. I was so ready for them to be over when it was happening but now that my baby is sleeping so much better through the night, this makes me go back to think about how much time I really got to spend with him during nights like this. It’s a beautiful feeling. Cherish these moments mamas!

Thanks for sharing… I thought that wrapping up the new born arms increased the possibilities for SIDS (at least is what my pediatrician pointed). Is true that the most difficult nursing hour is around 2am - 4am :)

I have to give you props. I'm a mom myself and I can't imagine filming a video like this AND taking care of a newborn and then you have to edit and upload as well. Girl, I don't know how you did it, but you had to have worked hard. You're very inspiring!

You get over that really fast. I just had a baby and now I can run on maybe 4 hours no problem (when my favorite thing to do was sleep up until my labor and delivery).
I sleep 14 hours and now that I'm pregnant I'm thinking how in the heck am I going to ever sleep again!

Amazing 🤩 but being a new mom is so difficult job , I have ever done .. mah boy is a week old and I can't sleep at night because his routine is not set yet and most of time I spend at night while staring him 🤗

You make look so easy and a perfect routine. My baby was never able to sleep in her bassinet and her sleep was no more than 15 minutes at a time. She's 2 months now and it looks like her sleep time is getting longer but still messy. I didn't know how hard it was lol.
I love how everytime she picks him up she kisses him. Soooo adorable!!
Its so cute when babies wiggle when they’re swaddled they look like cocooned caterpillars, and when there released they stretch out like they have wings like a butterfly 🦋

I keep watching these ‘night with a newborn’ videos and I feel like I’m the only one who’s baby woke up 5 times a night 😅 he also took an hour to feed and fall asleep each time! Thankfully he’s now 1 and finally sleeping through 🥳

Haven’t read all the comments.... but for night feedings, you might want to limit interactions w baby so he’s less stimulated. Save all the talking and smiling for daytime hours of wakefulness. This will help him stay drowsy during nighttime so he can more easily fall asleep after feeding. Just a friendly suggestion....

I’ve never heard anyone else mention the sweats!! I was so surprised when I kept waking up in a cold sweat every night. Currently nursing my 2 week old.
Nobody mentions the sweats! I had them too for almost a month a a half and was so worried!
Yes!!! They're so bad! 4 kids later and the night sweats and all the problems that came with nursing were more fearful than birth itself!

Those early morning feedings are the best 😂 My baby does 11:30, 2, 4, 5:30, 6:30, then sleeps until 9ish. The cuddles make it worth it 🤗

Dont take this as an expectation, babies cry ALOT and get gassy and fussy and breastfeeding will be a challenge…… I am literally feeding my new born baby boy who is 1 week old and watched all these videos to realize they post the better part of the nights hahaha

I don’t miss these times. I was miserable when my daughter was a newborn. I cried almost as much as she did. I’m thankful now that’s she’s almost 2 and sleeps all the way through the night. I think this is eye opening to people that aren’t EBF moms about how much we really do at night and how tired we can be.

I'm so excited I'm crying so much thinking about having my baby in my arms. It's my first pregnancy and I'm just so so excited. I've wanted this for so long, but didn't find the right person or it wasn't the right time for me... but now it's happened, it's finally here and I just can't wait. I know it will be hard (or I can imagine it, moms use to say that you think you know but you don't know haha) and it will be difficult, sometimes so tiring, sacrifices and mistakes... but I just can't wait to have my baby, to see them grow, to see them smile, talk, look, ask questions, go to school, to educate them, raised them, have chats with them even worry to death!! I was born to be a mom I know I was.

What a good sweet baby❤️ looking at my sons newborn days it was some of the hardest times of my life. I hope you’re resting and taking care of yourself ❤️ you make it look so beautiful
When feeding during the night keep the lights as dim as possible to keep the room dark so the baby isn’t woken up too much, knows that it is still night and it helps them to settle down again.
Didn't even want to fall asleep in those. Unfortunately I could not afford such a luxurious rockibg cradle and baby wanted not only fall asleep by my side by on me which meant even less sleep as I had to stay alerted.
Well if it keeps her up and alerted which is safer for baby than mum falling asleep while feeding as it becomes very exhausting and all wake ups are sliding into one blur. I know that this is possible. Although I needed only dim light myself sometimes though I had to have some kind of noise to keep me up like eaio very quietly. My baby was feeding very unevenly. Started with very long feeds probably due to small let down to shorter ones but more frequent like 2 feeds every 1.5h or 2 one with longer break like 3h or even 3.5. My baby didn like to be swaddled and

Just going through my 4th now week old. I know they make you very tired but I truly appreciate the moments spent with them at this stage, though tired especially the quiet times with the baby give you an inexplicable peace. Bonding with your child is a unique feeling. You did a great job. This is 3 years old I bet he is a healthy and loved 3 year old boy now.

Women who are mothers are simply amazing.
Usually it last 3-8 weeks . My first child lasted 6 weeks the full post partum . But my C-section incision got infected. Then my period started which pussed to 7 weeks. My little boy I just had 2 weeks ago bleeding is off an on and I'm already healed . But my period about to start. But C-sections you can't swim or submurge your self in a pool or bath but can shower. It's worth it

Wow, he’s so good!!! My baby girl had a “witching hour” from 9pm-4am every night of non stop crying until 2 months old. Then she still didn’t sleep unless I rocked her for hours and made sure I had a huge supply of milk for her to drink (for about an hour) before she finally fell asleep around midnight, only to wake up again in 2-3 hours for her next session. I’m so jealous of how easy it is to put him down 😭
Much props to all the mothers out there caring for the future generation of our country. It’s not easy, but all worth it.

My afterpain was horrible as well with my second. According to my doctor it gets worse with each baby.
