Noah is the Magic the Gathering World Champ for real. It's a shame they didn't stream it and nobody wrote about it and Google forgot to record it. But it happened fr fr.
I would believe it because WoTC has killed the magic world championship many years ago. I lost all interest in it. and I watched them all from 1995 till about 2015 and even played in 2 myself.
I love how Noah IMMEDIATELY takes control of the game. Such a great and entertaining personality definitely deserves all the attention they've been getting lately!
Overall I rate this video 5/5 Flamingos
I'd reduce it to more of a 4.5/5 maybe even a 4/5 due to rarran's inaccuracy for some of the cards shown.

it is a weird feeling watching and listening Noah actually making sense and not memeing too hard when evaluating cards, but the chaotic energy of you both is a match made in heaven. Would actually love having Noah do magic cards with Rarran and absolutely meme on him tho.

@@alexandresilva9811 Yeah people really downplay the effect of the "5%". Like even if it is just that, negative memories like those tend to stick around longer so it feels like significantly more. Human brains aren't really designed to take negativity from hundreds or thousands of people, we evolved in small tribes where you had to be at least amicable to pretty much anyone you interacted with.

I have a suggestion for nerfed cards, u should ask them first to rate the unnerfed card (without disclosing that it was later nerfed) and after they guess u should show them the nerfed card and have them rate it again

This was the best one yet! It's funny how your evaluation of a card can change after you play with it. I didn't understand why Astalor was any good and didn't want to craft it for my deck. Then I saw a player use him against me to clear a minion, buy more time, then close out the game and it became very obvious why he was so good.
Now rerran needs to be in one of noah's board games
I was like "oh cool I play a lot of MTG and used to play hearthstone this will be interesting". Then I saw it was noah and I immediately went "oh no, we're not gonna get a single reasonable rating are we?" When two meme lords collide.

At the time when big shaman in wild wasnt nerfed, there were 2 playable decks in wild if you wanted to hit legend, big shaman and pirate rogue. Bootstrap Sunkeneer was included in every single pirate rogue deck in wild at that time. As much as i dont know how was the meta in standard, im quite surprised when rarran said it saw no play because i both played and saw this card being played in wild every single day during that time

Probably the best one of these, one of my fave guests, Noah had the perfect amount of knowlage to rate cards while keeping it fun and the editor went crazy on this (while still not being intrusive), great vid Rarran!
my absolute favorite mtg content creators are cardmarket magic, they mainly do in person and paper content, but they might do a collab if youre interested. they easily make the best mtg content on youtube, and i think their energy and vibe would match super well with yours. they also do a similar thing but mainly with yugioh

17:48 I'm sorry to tell you Rarran but you are wrong on this one! It was pretty good in arena because if you got it on you opening hand and played nothing on turn 1 it's 3 mana 4/5 with tuant that can forces your opponent to trade 2 in 1

One thing you forgot to mention about immolate is that it ran alongside the infamous Abyssal Curse cards. Some players would intentionally keep their hands maxed to avoid getting new curses added, which immolate could free to open up a devastating follow-up turn.

On April 1 you should get Kibler on an episode like this as the "MtG Player"
The Zombie Pirate is kind of interesting here because albeit it costs X more to trigger (depending on what you combo) yo ustill get a body on board while bouncing oponent minions to the bottom. In Magic that would be quite the value imo because sometimes you really want to "Remove" a certain creature from board without giving it back to oponent's hand and Bounces(either to hand or top/bottom deck) are pretty much a specialty of the Blue color(with White coming second but only for your own stuff). That said 5 mana for a 4/4 inst that great if you have to spend extra to trigger but knowing Rogue has a lot of cheap spells to play around i guess it just boils down to current powercreep.

20:10 idk if its the case these days but i think what really matters here isnt that ur "passing ur turn" its the fact that ur passing ur turn on turn 6. losing out on turn 1 or 2 isnt nearly as detrimental as losing out on turns 7-10 cuz ur opponent has so much more mana to punish u for skipping

I've been using Bootstrap Sunkener in my Undead + Pirate Rogue deck and it has been pretty great tbh! I really agree that people are kinda sleeping on it
ramp druid with the chickens (whelps/ raid boss onyxia ) does/did run denathrius and alextrasza as a finisher. basically you brann and deal 30+ damage from hand.
