Would love next time "Top 2" appears in the tavern brawl, that after 24 hours the top 10 most played cards gets banned, so the brawl meta would evolve through out the week.
Also, that "I'm the unluckiest player alive" complaint was complete with misplays (you want to play the soulariums you draw off of soularium before the soularium in your hand). He got lucky and drew another solarium, so he wasn't punished. But he could have gotten stuck with no soulariums in hand and lost.
The problem with most Brawls is that people who don't play for fun also play them for some reason. I get it, you might want to bring out the "This deck wins" deck out to get the pack, but why are there people who just continue to spam the "Win, lol" decks after that? It often just ends up becoming a reset marathon with you waiting to finally get another opponent who wants to play something fun (instead of the "Win before the enemy can do anything" decks) in order for you to be able to also play your fun decks.

@@maitreshifu12 yeah just know cause i played against it and the enemy druid didn’t play aviana until they hit 20 mana so they played 4 avianas in one turn and i couldn’t kill them thru all the armor gain from Guff lol
My favorite deck for this brawl was Pendant of Earth and Molten Giant. Against decks that weren't FTKs or OTKs you could basically just roleplay as A.F. Kay, waiting until they get you to 10 health, filling the board with Molten Giants, then healing to full. It was pretty silly and fun even if it lost most of the time.
I got so annoyed by the druid variants that I just made a Priest deck with Shard of the Naaru and Tar Slime. Completely shuts down both Embiggen Patches Druid and Pounce Druid.
Hearthstone used to be my favourite game of all time. Around the time that Witchwood came out I decided that I no longer wanted to support the game. Rarran, your unique and creative content really reminded me of what’s good about this card game. I’ve spent the last month and a half adapting the original core and classic set (with some of the modernized balance changes) to a paper format as a passion project. It’s been so fun to try and adapt some of the games digital-minded mechanics to paper. Anyway, thanks for such great content.
That shaman deck with Flash of Lightning your opponent had around minute 20 sure must have been an interesting one. Not really a tryhard deck, not an insanely broken one, just fun.
I dislike the fact that you are conceding just before they hit their OTK. Like I think you can wait 5 more seconds to let them enjoy the OTK. If everyone were like you, this video would not be enjoyable.
Protip, you can click cards your opponent is playing and the animations there get a bit faster. Not perfect though, your turn will still get delayed somewhat and it still pauses for actual animations.
I'd like to see a tavern brawl where you can make a deck with 5-50 cards and your health is the same amount as cards in your deck, that'd be really interesting
I don't know about you Rarran, but I was always the guy back in the day to do "Innervate, Yogg-Sauron Hope's End" decks because it's just free content.
I just waited until turn 2 or 3 to make sure I would have enough animation time when doing Pounce Druid OTK. Gives them false hope when turn 1 is pass and turn 2 is hero power and turn 3 starts with hero power and then concludes with their death. It's almost impossible to do in time without risking burning one of the Pounces if the draw order is bad, but turn 2 is probably enough and 3 definitely is.
There was a way that you could get the soul fire from classic into your deck by using a deck code, so warlock could otk on turn 1 with soulfire + hand of gul’dan
The 0 mana fire mage spell that made your next elemental cost 2 less with Thunderbringer was a riot. It beat patches + embiggen every time. Lol I'm just disappointed so many people were playing the cheat deck.

Honestly, I think it's way funnier to watch some of these combos completely fizzle out because they take too long xD I will say I think it would be better if you could speed up animations instead.
@@BlackMan890 It can be funny in some situations, but personally, I think a card game having APM checks is obscene. It tests a skill that is irrelevant to any other aspect of the game. And yes, the fact that animations take up the turn timer makes it even more egregious.

I think these brawls should ban all cards that dominated the previous iteration of the brawl. I think this brawl is way cooler when no one knows what's broken yet.
lol wow a tavern brawl that just demonstrates the current state of hearthstone. you die turn 1 to some meta solitaire deck that you cant counter, or if you try to have fun with a meme deck you opponent just concedes the moment you gain the upper hand.
Game has been here for years and you can still get your turn wasted because you are locked into watching your opponent's animation. Blizzard is really embarassing themselves every occasion they have.
