I love that the challenge is to make a 4 card deck in which any combination of 3 cards will win, and you've chosen to instead focus on a deck in which 2 of the cards are imperative, and it only sometimes is good
funny in so many ways "just don't ban overdraft, it just needs to be the hidden 4th card" as if the opponent wouldn't be able to tell that the other 3 cards not doing anything to them means the hidden 4th option is the win con... and then even when he does push the win con he concedes bc he couldn't OTK even if there is still 20 damage represented
@@Carazhan I was thinking the same thing. Like hmmmm there are three cards here not dealing damage in anyway to me. Surely the hidden card also doesn't do that. He clearly is going to Totem me to death for 1 damage. Like it just really needed a second damage win condition.
Gotta love how he was trying so hard to play that shaman deck that needed every card except one, only to discover the game doesn't work how he thought it works.
Hey rarran really like the format with one difficult challenge failing throughout the video intersparced with successfull ones and ending up working out at the end of the video. Actually makes for a good viewing experience (not a payed actor)
I had a deck with Void Shard, Devouring Plague, Palm Reading, and Psyfiend versus a guy with Devolve, Healing Rain, Underbelly Angler, and Firemancer Flurgl. I got rid of Angler, they got rid of palm reading. We literally went down to fatigue since neither of us could outdamage the other's healing with our awful damage.
I remember this event years ago when I still played. Good to see that random HS players still can't figure out the correct cards to ban even to this day lol.
I did something stupid and I realized this was flawed first game I played. I played a curse deck with tome tampering, dragged below, the 3/4, and altar of fire. If my opponent got rid of altar of fire, I would have lost.
The big brain strat is to grab 4 cards that's basically do the exact same thing. My buddy discovered that 4 Murlocs, 2 that buff and 2 that discover more is just busted.
Having played iterations of this Brawl before and considering myself something of a Brawl aficionado, the key is always scaling minions. Murloc Tidecaller, Battlefiend, Pogo, and Jade Idol are all heavily favored in this Brawl. Unfortunately, damage spells will almost never scale as efficiently as minions, and will generally get rolled over.
For this kind of brawl I use a combination of cards like Insight, Palm Reading, Thoughtsteal, Identity Theft. It is pretty much irrelevant what your opponent bans you just get more of their stuff and out heal his/her damage.
I love this tavern brawl. Had a lot of success with frost dk: ymirjar frostbreaker, icy touch, glacial advance, frostwyrm's fury. Idea is that if they ban frostwyrm, you can usually aggro them out, and otherwise, you just have to stall until 7 (6 with coin) and then you win by chaining frostwyrms
I love those kinds of brawls (it must be the only ones I really like), so many strategies, games are quick, it's like a game of rock-paper-scissor but in Hearthstone!
I played with Cera'thine, in this brawl. Pretty fun and I gotta say it was kinda solid. I put Edwin, Scabbs, Vendetta, and Cera'thine in the deck and usually either Edwin or Scabbs got banned. So I cleared the enemy board with Vendettas and had fun with RNG.
The key is to make a deck that's solid even if any of the cards are banned. I remember discard warlock being absolute chads in this format even before the new cards. Solarium, Silverware Golem, Fist, and another discard card that I forget. The deck never lost. My own brew was odd mage with black cat empowering cheap spells and drawing cards.
I think the Shawman deck was kind of doomed because if they only see card draw and bloom they will ban the unknown card and if they see overdraft they'll ban it because it's still really good
Hey Rarran, not sure if you have done this before or not but for another challenge maybe for the future is to draft a arena deck and try and win in wild constructed with that deck. To add another aspect to the challenge maybe see how many games you can win before you lose 3, as if its a real arena run. Just an idea hopefully you try it :)
I just ran Yogg, the new 9 drop mage dude and 2 spell discover cards. I didn't win a single game in 2 hours of playing but damn was it fun to play 7 yogg in the same game
Had a question about the Anub’rekhan nerf. If you combo with brann do you get to summon 6 minions with armor, or still only 3?? Made my armor Druid deck last week and now it’s nerfed 🙃
This shit let’s you make some of the most disgusting combos ever. Fought someone who got a 54/54 Jade Golem the other day. Buffing + Summoning them on mass.
relic of extinction ban is as much of a noob suggestion as banning relic vault. I have no idea what both of you are thinking. without Phantasms there is no board and no way to deal damage to face other than hero power. Which is basically guaranteed win no matter what cards you picked.
@@Catchdown I guess that's true if Relic of Extinction or Phantasm was the mystery card... But otherwise the opponent wouldn't know if there's another option for face damage
⭐Why did you not released this like 4-5 days ago? When it's actually relevant and might inspire people to check Tavern Brawl more often In fact I don't really enjoy any other game more right now... I hope they keep making good brawls
God... I was getting so fucking sick of the first overdraft deck... YOU HAVE ONECARD THAT DEALS DAMAGE!!! OFCOURSE PEOPLE BAN IT!! Like, only the occasional ret... Dumb individual... Would not click it. And EVEN THEN, it would probably be a miss click from playing on a phone...
I will give honest feedback, the overdraft nonsense deck was completely not fun at all. As a one-off joke, sure, but you just kept insisting on the bit pretending it was funny when it definitely wasn't.
Audio will be scuffed from around the 4 min mark due to copyright claim on the cup head song, 5:20 is too skip it
Legit the conceding is lame.

Also Rarran: don’t ban lightning bloom(conceads)

you tried typing and conceded. learn to spell

I played concoction cards in this brawl. It is solid
I played Curse warlock cards and it was great
I've played roque on damage spells

Secret passage, og edwin, counterfeit coin and pogo hopper
making decks that only function if a specific card *DOESN'T* get banned is probably the worst way to play this brawl lmao

Rarran: "It's nice to be on top"
First thing on my mind: "That's what she said"
I guess the dedication overshadows the opponents big brain bans, so gj
Pogo, shadow of demise, coin and Edwin that draws. People will always instantly go for pogo pick, but actually win con is Edwin.

Valeera from that thumbnail could definitely do things to me
if you look closely at the end you can see rarran handing off a fat bag of loot to that paid actor he hired to finally get the combo
Will you make a video guessing cards of this expension of runeterra?
drgasm sound when otk overdraft kill
OTKs for the win! Love that ending! LMAO
great vod bro
All relics is fun. And hunter with both spell buff minions ricochet and manathirst arrow is alot of fun
Disco warlock...won 1 game and took that cancer out of circulation.
firemancer flurgi, clownfish, toxfin, underbelly angler
What happened to the video about yogg spell demon hunter I was looking forward to seeing someone play that meme deck it seems like a blast
Great background music, what is that from?
I played rouge as well. I added pogo and concoction just so they would ban pogo.
I played warlocks curses for this mode. It was fun :>
No discard warlock?? I'm surprised
About the second game... that mage was cute, so innocent.
I just did the new banshee, visier, frost strike and thassarian for kind of a value generating deck

"Hunter doesn't read"
Does hearthstone still let you get multiple weapon hits if you play a hero card on the same turn?
Why don't you try concoctions rouge it works really well?
Doesn’t overload last throughout the next turn? He could have just played overdraft on the turn after the overload
How?
P.O.G = penguins or giraffes
1:30 i see this game i insta ban the draw, for free win
2:44 this doesn't pass my vibe check 💔
Lol 1 cost disover legendary, 2 cost gain 2 5 cost spells from 2 diff classes, 4 cost spectral dagger, 7 cost tess, they almost always ban the dagger
For the overload deck I run tunnel trogg
that first overdraft deck couldn't work XD you only had one damage card, so obviously it's a ban x)
this is fun if u have wild cards
Conceding on turn one actually so annoying and toxic
Watching him botch multiple overdraft attempts be like watch "caveman discovers fire"
