That hunter draft was absolutely atrocious, I started out thinking that it can't possibly be that bad but it just got worse and worse
For real. That deck was absolute gigatrash. So many cards that literally do not do anything: 4x scavengers ingenuity, Big dreams, Desert Obelisk, Darkmoon statue. 7 Cards that are literally useless, and then many more that are almost useless/ very understatted.
What's funny is that's the weird thinking formats like this make you do. You don't wanna pick the worst arena class, you want to pick the class that has the most synergies you can intentionally deny to make cards do literally nothing. Its beautiful.

That hunter deck is a war crime. Oh my god, its incredible how much beast synergy there is, and he has literally no beasts.
He purposely evaded all beasts draft he found. And it worked wonders to make one of the most ridiculous and useless beast synergy but no beast deck ever. Prop to lt Eddie.

On Eddy's 12 win streak, I remember back in the day people would just make insane arena decks with cards that would be removed then save it for like a year and snipe Kripp with it specifically to piss him off

@@Rarran you have to make this a series where you play other like trump and stuff, and then you just change the stipulations like only odds, only neutral cards, or you have to win with the certain deck you draft and so on lol, There is a lot of potential of using the arena draft for content

just arena but you draft your friends decks and since its against friends its free so it can be spammed and played whenever

At 5:36 and i am already in tears over the absolute beast non synergy. I wish he would have picked both trackings, but it would mostly be beast spells to hit.
20:20 To be fair the Mechanist was definitely the best choice. Cobra would give Rarran a beast and tremors is 12/3 for 4 mana which is almost certainly stronger than a 4/5 for 3.
If a card summons another card or adds them you can't just add their stats. It's like saying a 4/4 that deals 4 damage us a 8/4 or a 1/1 that summons a 5/5 is a 6/6. When cards are separate you have to make it clear. Calling it a 12/3 is definitely never correct. The main case is the off chance Rarren's best option was somehow mage than Eddy can hero power all 3 without worry since they don't have rush or charge. And also spells that deal damage to board.
Tl;dr don't add stats, it's just wrong.
@@konkurer775 It is not that deep my man. I was just comparing cards for one choice of an arena draft of people making the worst decks possible. Yes, it is 3 4/1s not a 12/3 you are correct but at the end of the day I doubt either player was going to get a board wipe. I still think 3 4/1s for 4 mana is much better than a 3 mana 4/5
@@chandlerfoster8238 I didn't say you were wrong about which card is better, my example of the 3 4/1's was just giving reasons why you shouldn't lump stats together to refer to a card. If you're going to make a technically comment about cards I'm correcting you on the technicality of options.

Totally agreed. The other 2 choice get Rarran Beast to play with the synergy!!! That’s enough reason to justify Mechanist.
Rarran drafted Eddy a mediocre deck. Eddy drafted Rarran the deck Satan gives to his opponents when he duels them to get out of hell.
The funniest thing is that the 3 mana 4/5 might have actually been the best pick since if he picked the beast, that turns on all his cards, especially his beast drawers which he really didn't want to happen. If he picked the 3 4/1s, then that turns on less of his beast synergies but turns on the terrifying possibility of buffing it up with don't feed the animals and copying the buffed 6/3s over and over again.

I love how making the worst decks and putting the power level so low made every attack and defense count, it felt like classic hearthstone
15:50 Blizzard also forgot thus was a card, which is why there's a different card that has the exact same voiceline. Prismatic Elemental, 2 cost minion from Mage has it too.

Maybe an idea you could do is trying to make a deck where the goal is to lose. Like, you make 3 decks and try and kill your own hero. Not sure how good of an idea this is, but it sounds interesting (maybe even an OTK combo to kill your hero…)

I did the same thing for my only 12 win arena run.
My deck was a mage deck full of piloted shredders and shit, they split standard and wild and removed wild cards from arena.
The amount of "wow" spams I got the moment I dropped one of those bad boys. Lmao.

If regular hearthstone games had this kind of tempo I'd still be playing. Also, watching this makes me realize it's a shame there's no way to craft "illegal" decks for custom games.

Ok hear me out. Also late af to this. But if the goal is to make the worst deck possible. Wouldnt the deck that wins be objectively the better deck? So the one that loses the most wins the challenge? Best worst deck. 😂
I am surprised you even somehow managed to win with that Hunter deck. While the power level of the cards was bad overall in both decks. The hunter deck literally had like 6 unplayable cards or something crazy like that. That gives you a 1/5 chance to just get a literal dud in your hand.
29:18 the moment rarran threw so hard. He could have coined, played the 4 mana deal 3 damage, traded the 3/2 in, and been done with it, while also corrupting the statue. Instead, he greeds the coin and gives the opponent a 4 mana and does literally nothing with his turn while complaining he can't do anything.

Love this concept but I feel like five games of the same matchup gets a little repetitive. Idk if this would take too long, but maybe in the future a better format would be a best of three best-of-threes. That way there is more variety and more opportunities to make awful decks
Does Rarran not understand how corrupt works or not understand scrap shot? Two different times he could have used scrap shot to corrupt the statue and he chooses not to/misses it. Professional Youtubist=bad gamer moments
1:16 I think the best tactic is to just put as little value in the deck as possible and no card draw. So then he can only play 1 unvaluable card each turn + 3 cards from the start
uh, isnt adding a card thats similar to what you picked to replace the extra 2 the opposite of what you want? you want to pick the worst, and the other cards werent as bad as the ones he added for the extra 2...
If you do this again, the loser each match should get to swap 3 cards from the deck with Arena-legal cards of their choice of the same rarity.

i don't play hearthstone a lot, but the 1 mana 1|4 that makes your hero take all of his damage seems the worst and most useless card ever printed in a card game.

anyone else annoyed by the fact that eddie didn't pick yogg despite yogg being the best worst choice. Seriously all eddie had to do was draft less than 10 spells and yogg is a 10 mana 7/5 vanilla.

it is kinda cheating that he got to pick two equally bad cards since he would have been forced to pick two better cards. They should have just looked at the replay and picked from the other options he was offered.
Rarran couldve gotten the scacerow to 4/5 stats if he just used the 4 mana 3dmg spell to clear important things like the gargon for example. But he just didnt use it

really wish this was a mode where you create a deck for your opponent to use and visa versa. You always face your deck but the deck you get is always different.
