I have 22 hybrid limited, i am so satisfied with this vehicles. Spend 43k so worth it for daily drive. Ventilated seat , so much spacious & smooth ride quality it has is amazing
Can’t believe the negative comments here! It’s a modern design far better than a lot of its competitors. Loaded with features, haven’t driven the hybrid but all the reviews are positive. I’ll agree the rear indicators are in a stupid position
What becomes apparent when watching these videos and reading the comments is how different the American car market is to the U.K.. All everyone talks about is the RAV4 and the CRV, both good cars but nowhere near as popular in the U.K. as they are in the states. For example the Kia Sportage has been the UK’s best selling car (not just SUV) for most months of 2024 and I don’t think it has ever been outside the top 3. The Tucson has consistently been in the top 10 best selling cars of 2024 usually between 5th and 9th place. The RAV4 isn’t even in the top 30 and the CRV is so far down it isn’t even worth mentioning……Toyota still sell loads of cars here but it’s their other models that are more popular. The Korean cars just offer so much value for the money, and people over here just seem to love them….they are everywhere. Oh and I take delivery of a facelift Tucson Hybrid ‘N Line S’ in two weeks, I suppose if you can’t beat them, join them.
Bought this Tucson Hybrid Limited last year and was very impressed with its smoothness I got it to get away from the rough edges of the Rav4 Hybrid, and was very pleased Got 33-34 MPG
Picked up my new UK ultimate hybrid model yesterday. Strange the radar sensor here, and it is in the middle. It does have rear blinds and rear adjustment on the climate. It's crazy how they vary from country to country.
3:53 there is actual a spare tire mount underneath that storage section. You'd have to get the spare separately though. it's cool that they left the space there at least. CRV eliminated it entirely on the hybrid.
Honestly the one sweating are the entry luxury brand like gla, x1 and q3. I don’t see why buy those three when you can buy this, sportage, or Mazda cx5/50.
RAV4 has been around since 2019 and it still has more features than this car. Not to mention the fact that it’s competitive after 6 years, says a lot. And when the next gen comes out the Tucson and CRV will have a tough pill to swallow. Specially the CRV which doesn’t even offer cooled seats, big screen or 360 camera.
@@jxmar_ no it isn’t. 😆 it really isnt… The backseats are cramped, it’s poorly built inside, it’s noisy on the road, it’s unrefined, and it’s dreadful to drive. Not to mention it’s way overpriced The tuscon CRV Sportage cx5 cx50 rogue are superior in just about every way
What is really crazy is some dealers are marking up the kia/hyundai hybrids by 5k or more. Toyotas are being marked up as well. Take 10 to 15 yearrs to break even on the extra cost. I'll stick to gas only.
I have a deposit on a Rav4 XSE hybrid, but this Tucson hybrid does look interesting. Hyundai is offering 0% financing with no payment due for 90 days. That's a very attractive offer. Some things to consider: the Rav4 hybrid gets better fuel economy than the Tucson. 41/38 vs 35/35. That can be significant if you do lots of city driving. The Tucson's engine uses GDI technology and has a turbocharger. These could increase maintenance cost in the future. However, Hyundai offers a 10 year/100,000 mile warranty, which is hard to beat. One last thing: I may have to wait 3 months before my Rav4 hybrid is ready. The 2025 Tucson is already on the dealership lots. Update...The Tucson hybrid does not have a spare tire. Since I plan on camping and driving on mountain roads this is a deal breaker for me.
@MrGtronx it certainly will not last overnight, probably not more than an hour. Depends on how much initial charge you start with. My experience is that with slightly more than 50% charge, HVAC will run 20-30 min. on low fan. Before the engine comes on.
Don’t really care for the turbo, and the fact the starter motor is also a beefy motor/ generator/ alternator. Making the serpentine drive belt an extremely important maintenance item.
I already have 24 crv sport touring hybrid. I feel like crv is under powered. Should I buy this Tucson hybrid 25 ? Given it’s a Hyundai, I’m questioning its reliability. I don’t care about resale value but just how reliable it is ? Because I’m going to keep the car for 6+ years.
You have a 10yr warranty on the power train and bumper to bumper for a full 5yrs, I've had a bunch of kia's and only problem i have had was a transmission went at 74k miles and Kia replaced it no questions asked, so kia/hyundai stick by their warranty, also if your getting a hybrid model they are built exclusively in Korea which has better quality control, the issues that kia/hyundia have had in the past has been almost exclusively to the ones built in their Alabama plant, so get a hybrid, follow Hyundai's maintenance schedule (free for first 3yrs) keep your maintenance records (oil change etc.) And don't worry about anything, should something fail within those first 10yrs, they will fix it, Honda after 5yrs you are screwed, same for Toyota.
If it was centered they'd have to leave room on the side for a front license plate and most states that have front plates like them in the center so it's a trade off.
Because you're less likely to damage the sensor if it's not in the middle. I was in a chain reaction crash at 30 mph. Even though the Mercedes suv was pretty much fine, her tag somehow bent and struck right into my sensor in the middle grill.
I still can’t trust the hybrid tech of Hyundai/Kia…haven’t been around long enough for its longevity and reliability unlike the Toyotas and Hondas (20+yrs) which have been proven
Hybrid on the Sonata, which is a similar system came out in 2011. It’s not new. Hybrids are just now more mainstream versus niche like hybrids were just a few years ago

You could use that as a bargaining chip when discussing price. Maybe the dealer will reduce the price a bit.
Kirk, The generous back seat is impressive. Let's hope the next RAV4 matches it.
Does the PHEV self charge? Does it always require to be charged by plugging it in? Thank you
The PHEV you have to plug it in at all times, the hybrid is a self charge.
Just wait until Tucson gains market share. Best value suv of the class
