    Thank you so much for posting this. I am just discovering this film. A little late I know (only 64 years late) But better late than never, no? I love that opening scene with the kids playing cat's cradle, how he lingers on it..
    My friend, the filmmaker and all around genius, Harry Smith, was an expert on cat's cradle. As well as many other subjects.

    Just saw The Housemade 1960. Horrific. You can definitely see the influence on Parasite. Nice interview ...thanks Carlos Renaso.

      @@sirantisocial9681 Various stair cases...social class structures showcased...most of the camera angles...the horrific tone of beginning middle and end...the actual horror depicted...the psychological feelings of being trapped...family dynamics...minus the Morse code. I actually prefer The Housemade.

    I finally got proof for my point regarding the stairs in Parasite. It was evident as a cinephile but a few of my friends called it an exaggeration. Thanks for this.

      You can dig into Lee Kyung-mi who made 'The Truth Beneath' (비밀은 없다). This movie is full of odd energy.
