Great video and DIY. I'm in a process of doing a similar setup. This is by far best bang for buck setup that looks 2 times it's price. One suggestion though, if you are using 98" countertop you might want to install the support legs on the middle "ALEX" so that your counter don't sag as, from what I read, it will with time if not supported by an adjustable leg or a cabinet.
Without the risers, it would be a normal desk height. With the risers, it's actually slightly taller than a normal desk. With office chairs that rise up, it's totally fine though
Good question! There's actually just the right amount of room for both of our chairs (plus a tiny bit). My partner has a gaming chair, so quite big, and I have a circular office chair, so medium width, and it works out great. Both of us can tuck in our chairs all the way.
Are you talking about the risers that we got? Yes they could definitely go on the bottom of the drawers instead, but we wanted the separation between the table top on the drawers. I'm actually going to be posting an update on this desk soon, in case you're interested!
What are the desk dimensions ?
98in long x 26in wide x 33in tall (with the risers)
Thank you
I need to setup something similar. Currently need space for work laptop and two monitors. Along with my gaming stuff.
Good luck with your setup!
could you not have shown the actual setup and did the voiceover?
Sorry, what's your question, what do you need help on?

Thank you!! Yea I was afraid of sagging, that's why we actually have a third drawer in the middle. Also added storage never hurts!
Without the table legs, do you find the height too short? Thats what I'm worried about..

Literally a DIY queen
I was looking for a set up just like this one. Love it
Awesome, thanks for watching!
Beautiful! You need more subscribers!!!! Thumbs up !!!
😊😊 thanks so much for watching!
Simply gorgeous
Thanks for watching!
So the table legs were mainly used to raise the desk? That was the main purpose?
Yup, we liked that look!
Just what I was looking for! Thanks!
Thanks for watching!!
How do you find the leg room with there being 3 drawers + your partner? I’m wanting to do something similar! Thanks

Can the table legs not go on the bottom of the drawers instead?

I've been thinking of doing this but i don't have the budget for 3 alex drawers. Am i capable of doing this but with only 2 drawers?
Yes you can! There's actually Ikea legs that you can use in place of the third set of drawers.
So good! Can't wait for more DIY video!!!!!!!
How the hell do you use a desk this high! Are you guys 7 feet tall?!
😂😂 I am absolutely not, I'm 5'3". We both have desk chairs that lift
THIS IS AMAZING!
Thank you!!!
Make sure you put something under the middle of the desk to support it. Or it will bend sometime in the future.
Yup, I talked about that in the video! Thanks 😊
What (50mm or 104mm) size legs did you get from Amazon? Thanks for sharing! I'm going to give it a try!
We used the 104mm. Depending on how high you want the table (and the corresponding chair), you could go with either!
May I ask where you got your brown leather chair?
Amazon! Fake leather 😀 smile.amazon.com/dp/B073WFYB5C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_ARC42BVFV7Q73TN0YEKX?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
@@EshiJay *puts chair in cart* thank you so much!
Just a side note, if you're using it as an everyday work chair, it's not the most ergonomic lol. But it sure was pretty 😂
was sagging an issue now that you've had it a while?
Not at all! I believe it's because we have those three sets of table extenders/legs holding up the Ikea slab, instead of just two
Great job!!!
Thanks so much!!
Can give us the screw information plz
Hello, I'm so sorry I don't have that information anymore! But we used regular wood screws that fit into the holes of the risers I linked!
you won't find a peice of wood that thick at the hardware store cheaper than an ikea counter.
Makes sense
Hello Eshi Jay - Your Video Diy Dual Desk Ikea Hack Eshi Jay, Can Give Me Ideas. How About You Everyone...
I was literally thinking this almost same set up
Oooh, good luck! And send me a picture on instagram if you end up doing it! :)
Eshi Jay definitely!
What is the desk height (cm)?
It's about 82.5cm
I also see me in the corner
i realized your tiny head was there during the furniture leg debate of 2019 (do you remember how picky we were with where they went?)
Eshi Jay oh 100% i remember the whole argument 😂😂😂
