It's hard to put into words, but this is real life. I was there in 89 on my 10th birthday watching Batman in theaters, and here I'll be watching Keaton once again behind the mask for my 44th birthday with my 14 year old twin sons. How I feel watching this trailer is truly indescribable with words.

That half minute Christopher Reeve’s CGI Superman had me tearing remembering when my dad took me to the movies to watch the first Superman movie in 1978. The Flash was movie was incredible.

OMG....I was 7 when I saw Batman 89 in theatres 😅....I have been a Batman(and DC fan ever since)....Michael Keaton's Batman(and later the Batman Animated Series) is what made me a DC fan in the first place.
There is a not single part of my brain in '92 that could have imagined that 30 years later, I would be sitting down to watch Michael Keaton as Batman AGAIN, and certainly not in this context. Whatever one can say about the state of comic book movies, this thing looks like a miracle.

@@d3cayingc0rpse, I think it's a combination of what Miller did and how this movie is the beginning of the retcon for the Snyder-verse. Not sure. But the DECU has promising movies like Blue Beetle and the second Aquaman coming out soon. I went to see the movie mostly because of Keaton and Supergirl, but I do think Miller did a fantastic job. They are a great actor. May not be the best person, but what can ya do?
Masterpiece? It was good but A) Miller, you cant really blame people for not wanting to support Ezra by paying to watch the film. B) Waay to overhyped for what it actually was. It was good but it's far from being one of the best comic book movies ever

I really love that Keaton isn’t de-aged to make him look young or anything like that. They just roll with him being an older Batman whose been fighting crime for decades and never fully got over the murder of his parents.

This movie however simply takes inspiration from Flashpoint rather than fully adapting it. So Keaton’s Batman here is the same one from the Burton movies, just decades older.

Imagine if they had released this movie in 2022 like they were supposed to. Before all the news about Ezra came out, they might have actually made their money back and they wouldn't have felt the need to hire that Marvel director who killed Superman as soon as he took over.

Bruce's line hit me so hard, but also made me feel hopeful, hopeful that maybe it had to happen in order for me to become the man God want's me to be.

I'm happy for you but for me I'm not that excited about it at all I'm sorry and michael keaton is not my favorite batman and movies are not my favorite either but I can totally understand for people for you who grew up in the 80s and 90s generation when keaton was batman. Honestly this movie was amazing. Great acting great combat and fights. Funny scenes. Heart touching scenes. I heard a lot of bad things about this movie from the internet but it was actually a very great movie

We're not meant to go back and fix them. But we're meant to go back, confront and accept them. Actually, we're going back most of the times in our daily life, but it comes in term of memories.
This legitimately looks really good. Flashpoint is one of the best storylines in DC comics and I’m loving how they’re adapting this to fit into the stories they’ve already told on screen.
Yesss! It is, I luckily got to see a good chunk of it, and it's really really good. It's a shame about the DCEU and Ezra because this movie is very well done and so much care was put into it.
They should have brought reverse flash tho. They should have brought the scenes of Ezra’s flash fighting reverse flash ( they should have casted Anthony Starr, actor of homelander ) but only show the blur.
Never seen a live action Batman so slick. They both look great and that batwing scene is perfect. The closest we ever got to this point was the warehouse fight scene.
Though still strange to see Keaton Batman move so fast and fight similarly to Affleck’s Batman, when in ‘89 and Returns, his movement was kinda stiff. Not a complaint, just an observation.
@@foldabotZ CGI got a lot better since then. You have to realize: a big part of the reason why movement was so stiff back then was the technical limitations of the era. It was a Batman movie, the camera couldn’t move around too much, and the Batman costume had to have been stiff, so movement had to be limited. They aren’t so limited anymore, so they can afford for Keaton to be more fluid in his movement than he used to be because the technology exists now to make those movements more fluid. CGI and more flexible materials both contribute to making these movements more fluid and dynamic than they could be before
We need to #BoycottEzraMiller for all of his heinous actions and beliefs. He's absolutely awful and disgusting, no one should be supporting him or this movie whatsoever.
THE FLASH is becoming a big box office disappointment. 😞 So sad. I really enjoyed it. People today have bad taste in movies. I still highly recommend this film. Go check it out.

@@poohjan Considering how bad the DCU and MCU has been in the past two years, they will make some bold decisions in the future. I was hoping Ben Affleck did Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns adaptation. He is the closest to that version of Batman.
Barry's reaction(woooh!) Is almost stupid, though. He's already fought parademons and has jumped from crazy heights before. He has fought at the sides of cyborgs, mythical gods, a godly alien and Batman. By this point, he's transversed dimensions, but sky-diving is an amazement to him? I don't get it, but the only real reason the DCEU did not work out was because of tonal continuity. So whatever we get from James Gunn, and I hope it's awesome, it must have continuity between the movies to not lose the audience in the execution of a two-chapter, 10 year narrative.

Some of the Batwing scenes here were captured so perfectly, it’s like they were straight from the ‘89 film….for a split second you see it silhouetted against the full moon. Perfect!

If only this movie was as good as this trailer. Outside of Ezra Miller’s troubles, this movie was let down by some of the creative choices and the subpar VFX. However, it still felt like a love letter to DC fans.
You just gotta love the cinematography. All these Batman scenes are just phenomenal and carry so much weight. I especially loved what they did with The Batwing, descending down the cave with the bats and the moon silhouette in the final shot. Get excited.

OMG....I was 7 when I saw Batman 89 in theatres 😅....I have been a Batman(and DC fan ever since)....Michael Keaton's Batman(and later the Batman Animated Series) is what made me a DC fan in the first place.
There is a not single part of my brain in '92 that could have imagined that 30 years later, I would be sitting down to watch Michael Keaton as Batman AGAIN, and certainly not in this context. Whatever one can say about the state of comic book movies, this thing looks like a miracle.

But the DECU has promising movies like Blue Beetle and the second Aquaman coming out soon. I went to see the movie mostly because of Keaton and Supergirl, but I do think Miller did a fantastic job. They are a great actor. May not be the best person, but what can ya do?

This movie however simply takes inspiration from Flashpoint rather than fully adapting it. So Keaton’s Batman here is the same one from the Burton movies, just decades older.

Imagine if they had released this movie in 2022 like they were supposed to. Before all the news about Ezra came out, they might have actually made their money back and they wouldn't have felt the need to hire that Marvel director who killed Superman as soon as he took over.

I can't even put my excitement into words, one of my favorite DC stories + Michael Keaton Batman + Ben Affleck Batman + General Zod BACK AGAIN !!!
Never seen a live action Batman so slick. They both look great and that batwing scene is perfect.
The closest we ever got to this point was the warehouse fight scene.
Though still strange to see Keaton Batman move so fast and fight similarly to Affleck’s Batman, when in ‘89 and Returns, his movement was kinda stiff. Not a complaint, just an observation.
@@foldabotZ CGI got a lot better since then. You have to realize: a big part of the reason why movement was so stiff back then was the technical limitations of the era. It was a Batman movie, the camera couldn’t move around too much, and the Batman costume had to have been stiff, so movement had to be limited. They aren’t so limited anymore, so they can afford for Keaton to be more fluid in his movement than he used to be because the technology exists now to make those movements more fluid. CGI and more flexible materials both contribute to making these movements more fluid and dynamic than they could be before

He has fought at the sides of cyborgs, mythical gods, a godly alien and Batman. By this point, he's transversed dimensions, but sky-diving is an amazement to him? I don't get it, but the only real reason the DCEU did not work out was because of tonal continuity. So whatever we get from James Gunn, and I hope it's awesome, it must have continuity between the movies to not lose the audience in the execution of a two-chapter, 10 year narrative.

Jan 1st, 2024 - and I can sincerely say that this was my fave movie of the year. I don’t care what anyone thinks. No other movie made me as excited, smile and feel emotions the way this one did. 🤷♂️
Well besides the box office flop. I have to agree. This was the movie that was better than the other previous dceu movies

Some of the Batwing scenes here were captured so perfectly, it’s like they were straight from the ‘89 film….for a split second you see it silhouetted against the full moon. Perfect!
The cgi cluster fudge didn't look anything like the 89 movie or straight from it at all.

If only this movie was as good as this trailer. Outside of Ezra Miller’s troubles, this movie was let down by some of the creative choices and the subpar VFX. However, it still felt like a love letter to DC fans.

You just gotta love the cinematography. All these Batman scenes are just phenomenal and carry so much weight. I especially loved what they did with The Batwing, descending down the cave with the bats and the moon silhouette in the final shot. Get excited.
Something special here. I absolutely love the return of Zod played by Michael Shannon as a part of the mix.
