I love how Japanese tuner shops are so respectful of one's prized possession. The detail and concentration when working on the car to the little things like covering the steering wheel and seats in plastic.
Wow mate. Absolutely loving your content! Between your GTR build, car dealerships and the abandoned cars stuff I’m loving it❤. I was just in Japan for 5 weeks and I’ve only been back in Canada for a month, your videos give me that little bit of Japan I need. I miss it so much. No nonsense JDM car content is what we all need more of. Thank you.
The workmanship, engineering and finish of that clutch kit is impressive, it’s almost a shame that once it’s fitted you only get to feel it and not see it.
The V37 Skyline i always liked - though its ten years old now (holy crap...) Looks much more like a Skyline than the V36 to me - from the grill to headlights and rear end. I wonder what the next iteration will be - hopefully more new Z than "new" R35 lol. Also your R34 is lookin killer!
20 years with a clutch, seems it held on pretty well. But I can't get over the fact an OEM has all that structure for tuning and servicing so anyone can get parts straight from the font, it's amazing.
Ive been a fan since High performance imports, your content and quality is excellent. Nice to see your GT-R is still yours and being revived to its former glory.
15:30 - I can't remember where I read this, but I think it's true that they were at one stage planning to put the V6 into the BNR34 road car (perhaps for more modern/efficient tech, but also a V6 is shorter so can give the car better weight distribution), but ultimately they gave the RB26DETT a stay of execution instead. I wonder if the decision to put the VQ into the GT500 car happened during that stage with a view to then promoting a V6 GT-R with it...
The source is from Kozo Watanabe, it's mentioned in his wiki page: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kozo_Watanabe_(engineer) At the time it sounds like the RB was seen as a boat anchor holding the car back. It was only making 330 hp maybe in stock form and couldn't do much better as far as the OEM engineers were concerned. Goes to show sometimes numbers aren't everything. BMW staked their brand on RWD I6 when everyone else was going to V6 like Nissan/Toyota. It requires a major rethink of how everything is laid out in the car to make it all work.
Hey Dino. That VFR on the kie truck was so cool to see. We only got the 400 as a grey import in ZA🇿🇦. At 5:00, was that a CV joint knock as he pulled the car into the workshop.
Dino - absolutely great content once again! By the way your ride is awesome too! I really like the color scheme. Also, thank you for the insight into your vehicles mechanical repair(s). Which I might add that when ‘we’ decide to upgrade any systems on our vehicles it does become costly$$$. But well worth it in the end - my R129 is in (what I call the MB Hospital) right now having an entire vehicle maintenance and upgrade to the suspension and engine. Again $$$. But winter over here is fast approaching and I want all these repairs/upgrades done so I can get it tucked away in its storage garage prior to any first snow events. So God bless and I look forward to your next video (they are so cool😎)! - Mark 🙏
Great video man as usuall when you said you re going to Omori was running down the comment to ask next time if we can check the engines in a little more detail bc everyone pass by so fast and they say nothing about them but you did Thank that was nice That skyline 2023 nismo was the car i was going look up after this FOR REAL
Is that an ORC only test track for customers? If so, that is awesome!!! Have always enjoyed your articles and now your videos Dino - All the way from Sydney Australia.
The wrap of the R34 is broken and has lost a lot of its shine but the color really grew on me! And in the right light even the shine is back :D Are you sure you want to get rid of the wrap/color? Maybe you should just rewrap the car? Awesome b-roll footage as always!
Wow!!! I can’t believe that the ATS clutch in your R34 is almost 20 years old. Today, I’ve re-read your speedhunters article that you wrote which was on February 4, 2013 and there I saw this same clutch that was installed in your car and the fact that you’ve track your car and did not wear the clutch so fast is impressive that it lasted a long time before you replace it with the new one. Also, another thing I like about your car is that, you did not easily upgrade your GTR like any other owners would do like swapping out the factory twin turbo etc and instead you take time to decide on what to upgrade and what not to replace. I hope you don’t mind me asking about the previous aftermarket parts that you put in your car, did you keep some of them like the early upgrades you did to your car like the mines exhaust, side mirror etc? By the way the reason I asked is that I’ve seen it in your speedhunters article that your wrote 10 years ago. Again nice content Dino😊.
I got rid of some stuff, kept OEM stuff. I’ll probably go back to the mines exhaust eventually, the sound is unrivalled. Mine’s mirrors were cool but didn’t fold plus never liked the fact they were near copies of E36 M3 ones
Dino, I know we are talking clutches here, but what brakes and wheel size are you running ? Are they the R35 calipers on 380rotors with 19” wheels ? Thanks
Awesome content as usual i am captivated buy the picture quality if you don't mind me asking what brand phone do you record with and what tripod do you use? Also do what camera do you use as well? Thanks.
Dino sorry if this is too personal to ask but you bought the car new right? How come you don’t have double digit plates? Did you deregister at some time after 2004?
Can you adjust your voice volume a bit louder when editing? because I have to adjust my speaker just so I can hear you speak, when you finally finish talking the music comes in with the loudest volume ever lmao
It would be nice to match the clip volumes. Music is bit louder then ur talking. Pretty annoying I have to lower the volume when music comes. But nice content, I really enjoy watching you.
I love how Japanese tuner shops are so respectful of one's prized possession. The detail and concentration when working on the car to the little things like covering the steering wheel and seats in plastic.
Yeah I love that aspect too

Finally get to see ORC company location, you see that decal every racecar.....
That shop is so clean wow
Love the cinematic of the R34 in the workshop. Can't wait to see the next episode!
Thanks for sharing , it needs the oem front gtr badge
This color suits the car so well ❤

you know the mechanics are good when they keep the shop clean and tidy.
Damn, that flexplate was fried 😳
Hey Dino, the 620R is a very rare car. Its a street legal race car limited to 350 examples
Love the RC30!
GTR content! Like ice cold spring water to a man in the desert 🤣
😂
Buried the lead there DC, they have their own track!
This GT-R deserves nothing but the best👌👌👌can't wait to see what's next

I used to know someone whose nickname was Pit-orc. RIP Jutt.
Every episode of this series is epic!
Thank you 🙏🏻
Love to see Your R34 GT-R properly back on the road.
Enjoying this series
Glad you enjoy it!
The follow up we've all been waiting for. Yatta
Killer content as always, love this build series! It's always so cool when they let you in the garage under the car during the install, class act.

Keep it green, it's so much nicer than all the blue ones
Too late...
So keen on the journey of this beast. Your knowledge of the history of the gtrs is epic as well damn!
Thank you! 🙏🏻

Is that an ORC only test track for customers? If so, that is awesome!!!
Have always enjoyed your articles and now your videos Dino - All the way from Sydney Australia.
Used to be a go kart track but neighbours complained about the noise
A proper machine. Would coating the new brackets to prevent rusting? Looking forward to more content on the GTR

thanks for the upload dino, enjoyed this one alot!
Glad you enjoyed it
Nice! Must be nice to casually walk into a dealership to purchase a part for a 90’s car.
13:33 what are those nissans (Hot Hatches / SUVs?)
the Holy Grail
Glad to see you ditched that muscular beetle 😂
The what?
Super D you're up
What happened to the blue color, did you wrap it green again?! The blue was awesome though. Thank you for the video!
Wrap is coming off
@@dino_dc puh! I got worried there for a second! :)
Dino can you do a video of garage defende. Thanks
Dino, I know we are talking clutches here, but what brakes and wheel size are you running ? Are they the R35 calipers on 380rotors with 19” wheels ? Thanks
Brakes are Bremvo Gran Turismo 6-pot front & 4 rear with 380/355 rotors. Wheels are 19x9.5 +12
@@dino_dc Thanks - what are your thoughts on Endless brakes ? I’m running 18” wheels , looking for a 355 or 370mm rotor setup

Dino sorry if this is too personal to ask but you bought the car new right? How come you don’t have double digit plates? Did you deregister at some time after 2004?
Not personal at all, original plates were Mito 33, then I moved and changed them
Great episode dino cant wait to see you enjoying the r34, you recodrding going with 24fps or 30fps ?
Thanks hopefully not too far to go now! I actually recorded in 60
@@dino_dc 60fps on the iphone? Holy smokes
I literally drive by Nismo everyday but I’ve never been inside. I should soon
do you know when the speedhuntersshop will be back up
I’m not sure
I believe the Honda bike is a RC30
how much would it be for this service in total?
Not sure as mine took more time to do unexpected issues
