It's amazing because now when you get the chance to review a (now legal) 1999 R34 GT-R, you'll have a baseline to compare between the 2 platforms, and if you thought this one was good...oh boy you are in for a real treat when you try the GT-R.
No it's not these were very common overseas, they competed with the Accord and other mid size sedans. The Sedan R33 GTRs are some of the rarest Nissan cars, though.
I truly loved this review video as always with your videos they never miss the mark but this one on a R34 in the states is truly heart warming and amazingly great to watch never stop this energy 💯
The skyline R34 coupe is nice, but after driving a gtt 25, i was honestly surprised how tight and 240ish it felt. Interior wise. Then ill get in a mark II or a chaser and feel more comfortable. So i think the sedan would be dope.
This is sick to see on RUclips, not many people like the sedans. I love the coupes, but the sedans have my heart. I have a 1998 HR34 Skyline GT. Mine came with an RB20DE Neo and a 4AT (sedans do come with manuals from factory btw). I just swapped in an OEM R34 GTt 5MT with a one piece driveshaft and it woke up the car up big time. The car is way more fun to drive now, and I noticed a significant torque increase going from a 4 speed auto to a 5 speed manual. I plan to keep the RB20DE Neo and +T. Many people in Australia and New Zealand love the 20 Neo because they can handle boost very well. I first focused on preventative maintenance such as Timing Belt, Water Pump, O2 sensor, and Z32 Fuel Filter. Randomly, Shift Solenoid B went bad in the auto trans, so that was my queue to pull the trigger on the manual swap. I also did wheels and suspension for that perfect stance. Body kit next, then boost. @wydtmro if you'd like to check it out. This is a sick video man, keep it up.
I find cruise control rather necessary if you have a tendency to speed up but you're driving with people who don't like your speeding habits, so deleting that feature to me would be okay if you use it to joyride in high speed, but not if you're going to carry anyone who might scold your driving if you like to drive in high speed
it is slightly overrated. its still a top 4 halo car for 90s japanese sports cars but i still have it a distant fourth behind the nsx, rx7, and supra. it just lacks the wow factor. looks kinda like a plain civilian car and is mostly elevated by this mythical aura americans gave it because they only knew about it through video games and movies.
Imo R34 non gtr skylines are stupid overpriced. You could buy a clean R32 or even an R33 GTR for some of the stupid prices GTTs and others go for. Clout culture and overhyping is real

Sedan's did come in manual. 1,750 series 1 original GT-T 4 door 5 speed manual were produced. My wife has a non swapped 5SPD 4 door GTT R34.
i got a 4d GT-T 4 speed auto and only 2000 made. but alot swapped to manual as said
2.5turbo rwd and manual seems like a perfect fun daily
I think this is rarer than the regular coupe R34, great video Zack
Even rarer than the GTR.

@@thee-wastegamer4044 Actually a 4 door GT-T with a manual is pretty rare, only 1,750 were made with the turbo/manual/4 door combo.
Back windshield wipers on sedans need to become a thing again. Everyone wants a GT-R but the lesser ones are still good cars.

I had the pleasure of driving one of these yesterday… it was only the rb20de… but it was still amazing

Stained cloth seats are tough to look at, can't imagine having to deal with that every day. Leather ftw.
My car may not be a skyline but my 03 Bugeye WRX gives me basically all the same vibes as this lol
GT-X = AWD, GT-T = Turbo and GT = normal
Hopefully you can get your hands on a GTR soon, now that they’re legal to import
I really like the early 90s Skylines. These are cool too. 💙☮️
What a cool car, love the dual purpose; track & family...so cool
Always loved the R34 sedans. The baby seat got me though, and i dont even have kids yet😅

They need to fix that rear bumper/exhaust fitment
When it comes to the standart sedan I like the R32 and 33 a bit more.
The tray in the back looks more like cupholders. 🤔
They are. They fit 500 mL bottles.
@@jacquesc3166 Ah, nice.
Zak should make the test in the back, too.😁
So cool!
Yes. Yes it is.
sedans did come factory manual
Peak Automobile.
All saloon variant’s where manual as well as auto
ER34 FTW
Amazing
I actually like the sedan better than the GT-R
The ground effects kit looks ugly and cheap. The car deserves better. Needs a spoiler.
