Those lists have way more great songs that aren't just the songs you've already heard a billion times. Deeper cuts, less popular bands like Junkyard, Dangerous Toys, Tora Tora, Femme Fatale, Cinderella and so on. Have a fantastic day.
@@ZKAttack that's a pretty decent list 🤘🤘IMO. I love cherry pie, but uncle Tom's cabin is so much better 😉 but yet it didn't get as high as cherry pie. My Favorite leppard song. But they're all awesome song's. Thanks for sharing that 🤘🤘
WHAT a fucking riff.. The riff most grits (that's code for heavy metal freaks) wanted to nail down back in the day. Man, these guys could've been bigger than Bon Jovi or G'n'R... Blessed to have grown up in the Balt/DC region and had these guys pumping on my FM radio growing up!
Kix was my first concert. They’ve always been the local underrated band (I’m in Maryland). I went to rehab a few years back and their lead guitarist Ronnie Younkins was there. We jammed.
These guys had talent. Real talent. I saw them live a couple of times and they were amazing. They get lumped in with the hair metal fad but they were around long before that schlock hit the airwaves.
The whole "hair metal" narrative was nothing more than a lemming type of pile-on that was started by a goofy "fad" mentality that made it popular to dislike "hair metal". Most all those bands back then were VERY good musicians, regardless of any look or marketing they were doing. The hair metal tag or glam metal or whatever was a stupid pissing match sparked by the stupidest people on earth,....teens. It never had anything to do with music, ..be it good or bad. But the butt of the jokes just happened to be ironically great musicians. The same posturing over image came right behind it (squashed it actually) with the grunge...They were "great" because they weren't hair metal....Well obviously, once again, it had nothing to do with music because unlike the "hair metal" mostly being made up of great musicians,..Nirvana and the like, were mostly horrible musicians that sounded like they were still in their first year of picking up their instruments. It was unbelievable.
Real talent indeed... To me they are a “big rock band” like DLR referred to Van Halen. Kix music makes me wanna get up and party just like VH music. It’s just really good hard rock!
@@stricknine8623 Hard to say it much better than that, other than the bashing of grunge of course. The best "grunge" bands (horrible media term once again) were fantastic musicians: Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, etc. Sure, Kurt wasn't a technical guitarist, but if he played in an 80s style band, he would likely have a 2nd guitarist for leads. There were crap 80s bands too (Warrant had a guitar teacher showing them what to play for solos on the first album, Poison wasn't very technically talented, etc).
I'm 17, I bet that when I'm 50, I'll still be blasting this music all the way up. And when I have kids, they are gonna listen to this kind of music whether they like it or not!
I wouldn't actually consider KIX to be hair or glam metal. Didn't then and didn't now. Not that there's anything wrong with hair or glam metal. Some really good music came from those types of bands.
Man.. this song never gets old! Loved these guys since i first saw this video in 1989. 16 years old and i was the epitome of the long haired, rock shirt wearing metalhead. I miss the better times of the 80s!! 😢😢
They don't know what they're missing man. I'm 33 and I grew up at the tail end of when rock and metal was still mainstream. Now seems like most kids today only like rap. I like early 90s rap but the crap they pass for music today...my God. 🤮 We used to make fun of guys like Limp Bizkit. But now he sounds pretty good compared to modern rap. Now if it was our personal "favorite" songs, the list would look much MUCH different lol.
We put out a hair metal book that has a ranking of the top 1,000 hair metal songs and top 350 hair metal albums.
I'm suprised no Cinderella song made it honestly. I know my favorite of them wouldn't have made it, Bad seamstress/fallin apart, But love the list. Love that photograph is #2 too.
We jammed.
Cranking this up in 2021! 🎉🎉🎉💙💙💙💙
The 80s were a great time to grow up, the best music!🤘🏿
The Seventies was better!
@@gregtuco1 its a tie tbh
These guys had talent. Real talent. I saw them live a couple of times and they were amazing. They get lumped in with the hair metal fad but they were around long before that schlock hit the airwaves.
Saw them open for RATT / Brittany Fox in Cols. OH, they put on a helluva show, blew Fox away and have RATT a run for their money... GOOD SHOW!
@@kitoyobeni1 Poison and Warrant were both talented bands. Dog Eat Dog is a damn heavy album and proved Warrant had real chops.
02 baby tuned in
I remember when these guys were young and full of energy. Now they are senior citizens. Hard to believe how time flies.
55 and still rock'n the 80's bands on any ride to anywhere! AWESOME time in my life! Never to be forgotten!
Same here
60 year old here, and I'm right with ya!!! Damn these guys are good, then and today!
@@jlid1 Damn Skippy!
It was truly the best time of my life
I'm 17, I bet that when I'm 50, I'll still be blasting this music all the way up. And when I have kids, they are gonna listen to this kind of music whether they like it or not!
This old of a song, and still better than any of the new shit of today 🍻
Definately. Wish we could go back to the 80's lol.
This is what put them on the rock and roll map. Awesome song. Still love singing it after 30+ years. These guys are STILL ROCKIN!!🤟🤟
One of the best Rock songs ever made, ranks up with the best: Back in Black, Welcome to the Jungle, Kashmir. Truly.
Love KIX..had a friend over the other night, he's 37 and never heard of them. I was like WHAT? So played him some songs now he's hooked
80's hair metal is the best!!!!!
I wouldn't actually consider KIX to be hair or glam metal. Didn't then and didn't now. Not that there's anything wrong with hair or glam metal. Some really good music came from those types of bands.
I respect your opinion....Rock on...
@@eclecticx They considered themselves as a glam band. I still am thinking as hair. Howevwer each has their own opinion.
I think they fall more comfortably in the "Sleeze Metal" category
Right on brother!!!!
Man.. this song never gets old! Loved these guys since i first saw this video in 1989. 16 years old and i was the epitome of the long haired, rock shirt wearing metalhead. I miss the better times of the 80s!! 😢😢
Such a underrated 80s hair metal band! I'm 22 years old and still kicking ass to this badass song!
If you dont like this song we can't be friends
How could anyone not like this
We Gen Xers are way too cool for most people.
Well good news amigo!!!
@@bobbizzle77 😉👍
Thanks to Hair Nation I am a fan of this song. Don't remember it from the 80's but everybody misses out on things sometimes !
Damn, this takes me back to the 80s and going to see Kix at Hammerjacks in Baltimore. Good times!
Cold beer is all you need.
🤣🤣👍
🤣🤣👍
Then after that Cold Chills and a Cold Shower.
😄
And some beer, and hookers!
This whole album is awesome!!! I've heard it through probably 100 times
This just popped up on my feed! So cool, haven't heard this in years!!!
Same here love this band and now I better take a COLD SHOWER 🤘😎🤘
@sha broussard Haha 🤣 lately I've been listening to songs from the past
Man, I'm gonna miss seeing these guys
Kix was so underrated... Dont know how, ... these boys rocked.... My brother had their album in high school...
Best times..........
What a great catchy chorus man. Just sticks in your head like a cold chisel
Wow! Those harmonies are pretty dang amazing! 😳
I think about this song very often. It’s that infectious.
Haven't heard from them in a long time I still like kix
80s was the bomb . Kids these days don't know chit.....
Something my dad would say, but here I am listening to the same stuff as you old guys but no one my age has ever heard this shit and it sucks.
Im a kid🤘🏻🤘🏻
They don't know what they're missing man. I'm 33 and I grew up at the tail end of when rock and metal was still mainstream. Now seems like most kids today only like rap. I like early 90s rap but the crap they pass for music today...my God. 🤮 We used to make fun of guys like Limp Bizkit. But now he sounds pretty good compared to modern rap. I'm starting to sound...old. 😔😅
Most underrated band in the 🌎
Awesome to hear this again. One of those forgotten treasures 😎❤️
Fortunate to see their second to last concert before they called it quits. Rocktember in Hinckley, Mn. They were fantastic as usual.
UNDERRATED!!!!! And that brunette is gorgeous whoever she is.
Such kick ass band. Love it all the way. The amazing times. Thank you so much Kix.
These boys reppin’ Maryland, baby!!!!
unc had73 oh I forgot 😂
Saw them two years ago in Lancaster,Pa great live band.
You have to play this LOUD!!!!🎸💔
Loving this ❤❤❤❤
I just randomly found this in my recommended section and decided to try them out. I'm not disappointed.
The guitar riffs is kick ass. 😀👍🤘🎸
