Was finally able to see my Audio today and got the update to my Real 2's and i already love the new equalizer, i often sit near an AC unit/vent that can get quite loud and this allows me to adjust it to the right level so i can continue to focus on what im doing instead of turning the an entire volume step! I have a fitting appointment for Oticon Real CROS next week & being undecisive with the the brand after watching reviews mentioning Bluetooth connectivity issues to Android devices. I have 92% hearing on left ear and 0 on right, but I'd like to hear surround sound to react quicker to hazards (falling boxes on my deaf side or people warning me in soft voices) in a warehouse environment while also having reliable bluetooth pairing to music & audio books 10hrs of my shift daily. Would a Phonak Lumity CROS be better to achieve this in my case since I have an Android device? I'd appreciate feedback as I'd rather not lose $500 after a 30-day trial period (my audiologist's trial policy) & switch brands because of Bluetooth connectivity issues. I heard Oticon is awesome with Apple, but I am not buying an iphone just to have better pairing with all my Android devices. Thanks so much if you could advice me with this concern.
I think that he said to first ask the Audiologist to update the firmware of the hearing aid devices then install the app but it you already using the app before updating the firmware you have to uninstall the app and reinstall it just then you will be able to view and use the new features.
I use my aids 18 to 20 hours a day the goal/usage tracker is useless to me. But i can see where somone new to hearing aids neednthe help and usage tracking.
Hi! I understand that my hearing aids are connected to my phone so that I can adjust the hearing through the app on my device (phone), but I don't like getting notifications from my phone through my hearing aids. Or how I can't listen to a video on my phone normally anymore, it just plays through my hearing aid. How can I fix this? Thank you!

Thank you for the video - long time watcher of your channel...Apple user here - and have had the Real 1's for about 2 months (upgrade from OPN1). I've deleted and reinstalled the app several times and also deleted it from my apple watch. Even turned the phone off and back on again a few times between app deletion, then reinstall. On the Sound screen I have a mic icon on the far right side (not the three dots). I do have the hearing aid update screen and show current version of 1.0.1. I was under the impression that 1.1 was the latest firmware? Do you believe I need my Audiologist to update the firmware one more time for the other features in the app to function properly? The other thing I noticed is that in "My Profile" under date location it shows United States of America but if I tap the arrow next to that it constantly shows Data transfer in Progress - We are transferring your data to the selected location. Please try again later. with OK as the option below this. App is running in the background constantly and this never changes. Lastly the old app was deleted as well... Thanks for any info you can provide!
Hey Wayne, sorry to hear about your trouble. Oticon have had some issues and ALREADY released another firmware update since my video , can you connect long enough access it via the app? Matthew
@HearingTracker. Thanks for replying. This is so strange Matthew - Tried again.....same results... The Companion app is on 1.2.2, build 272121, Ver (8012) 1.2.2. I have a hunch that it could be my wifi network which is usually flawless, but it is a set of eero units (Mesh Network). I'm going to try at an alternate location ("regular" wifi) and see what happens. I think the updates load in the background to the app, including firmware updates, so when the user accesses that it's ready to go...I will update later...
At this point waiting for a response from Oticon App support. Tried two phone, two ipads, different networks and devices on different versions of ios. we'll see what the response is...more to come....
Here's the answer from Oticon: Regarding the firmware updater, the new and current updated firmware for your hearing aids is 1.1.0 This update is not distributed through the app, since it is a very big update package, provided new app features. Such as Sound Equalizer and Remember Volume. This can be done at your clinic via the fitting software. Smaller performance updates which do not have new features will be available in the app in the future. We apologize for the confusion this might have had and we appreciate this feedback.
@@HearingTracker is the equaliser for the ambient sound available for More? If so, 1.4.3 firmware or is there a newer one? Same question re the fitness. Thanks.
Thank you so much for posting this video. I didn't know why my hearing aids (Oticon Own) were not connecting to the companion app. I downloaded the new app, read their notification, then contacted my audiologist (who was unaware of this update) to get my firmware updated in office. Now my companion app is working again with the aids but I still need to figure out if I need an office visit for an update, My audiologist doesn't think I need it. hmmm I'm not able to update firmware via app, nor see the fitness but I do see the equalizer and boost
Nice additions to the app….sort of. They unfortunately should have left the Apple Watch app. I used to sing from the roof top about my Oticon HA’s because of the ability to handle some basic adjustments from your Apple Watch discretely. This is fantastic in meetings. Pulling your phone out in the middle of a meeting, well you get the point. Come on Oticon. Roll back the Apple Watch app.
I would love to unlock new features in the app if I could get it to stay connected for more than an hour at a time. Disconnects all day have started to raise the question in my mind that I shouldn't buy this model.
I downloaded the app Oticon Companion today (Version 1.2.2) and I am not able to find the fitness feature. I clicked on the hamburger menu and the options that appear to me are only: Remote Care and Help & Support, but not the Hearing Fitness. Do we need to pay for it? The hearing aids model I am using is the Zircon 1. I don't now why but the connectivity is not working fine with my smartphone. I am trying to use the connectivity without use the Connect Clip device, but the connection is always dropping. I don't know whether it is related to the Android version or not. My smartphone(Moto G23) is using Android 13. My model is the Zircon 1 and the firmware version is 1.2.3. When I make a call or listen to music the connection always cuts out.
I already wear my hearing aids as much as possible, so that tracking feature will not help me. I can see where it could help those new to using hearing aids. Everything else sounds good to me,

Got my engage hearing aid.would be good if I can use my android phone to stream music to my hearing aids without the connectclip.
Now how do I know which equaliser is suitable / fit for my hearing?
Is this for Oticon Reals or Oticon Mores or both?
Hey Ganesh:
Sound Equalizer, Hearing Fitness and Remember Volume Settings: Oticon Real only, and instruments must be updated to latest firmware 1.1.0.
The updated firmware via app seems to be the most useful followed by the equalizer
Thank you Ganesh, Matthew
