The best part about the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit fandom is that you never really say goodbye. Even if you're a part of other fandoms, or are even just passing through, you're always welcome. Tea is at six =). We're always ready for another adventure.
PIPPIN: I didn't think it would end this way. GANDALF: End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it. PIPPIN: What? Gandalf? See what? GANDALF: White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise. PIPPIN: Well, that isn't so bad. GANDALF: No. No, it isn't.
Gandalf is actually talking about Valinor when he mentions the white shores and the far green country. According to the SIlmarilion, just before the second age ended (correct me if I'm wrong, I have a hunch I am wrong) the Valar decided to take Valinor out of Arda and made the world spherical and only they of course and Earendil and very few others would know how to reach Valinor, the undying lands. It's pretty much like a haven or a paradise, probably reserved for the elves and those who have made great sacrifices like Frodo and ALL in the Fellowship. I think when Sam comes at a certain age, he takes a ship to travel there and meet again with his best pal. Both scenes, the dying of Thorin and the parting of Frodo are really moving, and this song reminds me of that.
This song still gets me. It just evokes the image of a warrior or warriors standing on the battlefield looking over the dead, seeing their friends and comrades among the fallen, and at the same time, those same men sitting in a bar, years later, reminiscing about old times, remembering all their friends who are not there. Gets me every time.
it reminds me of a warrior through all of his conquests he finally has peace thorugh all the hell he saw his is finaly at peace he dies and hes sad because he must bid goodbye to his friends but at the same time hes happy like seeing a new sunrise you don't know whats coming...but you cant help being excited
The song is in a way a bridge between movies & fans, but also between The Hobbit & LotR. It is also in a way a memory of what is & what was. Having Billy perform it is perfect... as Pippin, Merry & Sam inherited Bilbo's legacy when he & Frodo departed for Valinor's shores.
@@aditghifari5039 I actually hadn't thought of that(given that I haven't played any of the AC games after Revelations), but that's actually not a bad comparison.
Glad I'm not the first to think that. But I can't even get through it normally without tearing up...Why do I even bother listening to a song that exists only to make me cry? Off to find funny videos now before I break down completely.
I cried like a little baby throughout the movie, I was quiet and I was so very happy that I was in a theater with so many real hobbit and lotr fans because the most amazing thing happened. When the credits started to roll and this song came on, one girl started to sing and then 3 others and I started to sing, by the end of the song we were all singing and we all kinda just left the theater in silence. I cried because I thought that was the most amazing thing to ever happen an I know that this fandom and the movies will never die because there are so many amazing fans.
when i first saw the lord of the rings, i was 13 and we went to the now rebuilt empire theater. i remember my joy at seeing a real fantasy world and actually laughed when gandalf hit his head. seeing it all go away so quickly makes me yearn for the good days of my past. before the hardships of my life become shockingly apparent. my grandmother is dying and now i have no other crutch. how i wish for my childhood (cries)
We bid a farewell to Sir Christopher Lee. May you go with your ship into the West and we will wave at you from the Grey Havens. Rest in peace Sir Christopher Lee.
Hannah Marsh technically songs can get Oscars. The whole movie does for the soundtrack or score. Whatever its called. So if the movie got the best soundtrack award then the song technically gets an Oscar
EDIT: I wrote this comment after watching the last movie with my dad, 7 years ago. Now I am 20, and my dad passed away this year because of covid. Of all the things I can remember that he introduced me to, I will forever be grateful for Tolkien’s Middle Earth. This world has given me comfort this year, if there is any after someone’s death. Now I listen to the song “Into the West” and remember him. Hope everyone is well and loved ❤️ I watched the last Hobbit film this afternoon, and I couldn't stop crying a good half an hour after the movie ended. I was too excited to watch it, and yet I was so sad that it is the end of a long journey, the end of Middle Earth legend adapted into a film. And the Lord of the Rings has been a massive aspect of my life, since I watched it for the first time, when I was three years old (and now I'm thirteen :) ). A perfect song, made me remember every single time I read or watched anything Middle Earth related, and it made me cry. Hello to all you true fans here, that like me truly feel the books and movies, and that have grown with Peter and all the actors, crew and of course, Tolkien. Still hoping for the Silmarillion though. I bid you farewell, even though this is not a goodbye, cause we will make all of this last forever, in our hearts. Love you ♥
The Silmarillion* :) Well, the rumor is not true because Peter said that he is dons with Middle Earth movies. We can only hope for the future, but I'm not sure who would do it and how would that turn out. Anyway, we have the books and these six films :D
You never know really, maybe someone will come up to Peter and be all like, "Hey man can I make a Simarilion movie?" And Peter could be all like "Sure man." So you never really know, and I want them to! I always wanted to read it but my mom says it's "Too boring"....(T_T)
Well you should, I read it and it is great! And no, nobody can make them because J.R.R.Tolkien's son, Christopher Tolkien, doesn't want to give any rights for those stories. It ends on the Hobbit, and he knows that his dad wouldn't have wanted anybody to strech and strech his stories. And Peter cannot give the rights for that. And read everything! :)
My mom passed away June 13th, 2021. I chose this as her final song. It was quite beautiful! Wasn't a bloody dry eye in the entire building. Te amo Mama!
If you think about it, this song could signify the LotR and Hobbit fandom's; we've journeyed with our favorite heroes, watched characters die whether we liked them or not, cried and laughed with them, and cheered when good prevailed. That's why I love these fandoms so much.
Pokemon series can relate to this song, as they go to a next chapter in there lives or they loosing a friend during the journey as the move on on the story etc
I will never be able to say goodbye to The Hobbit or LotR. This song makes me cry because I feel like it's also a song for the fandom about keep living and moving even though we are seeing the end of the movies. I feel like this is also the final goodbye from the cast and crew. :( I don't want to say goodbye.
@@dylananthonyriley254 i was on board for the first part but everything that came after that made me scream. YOU SHALL NOT PASS!!!!!!! It almost read like you are getting what you want but not getting what you want at the same time. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
My Brother died last month. I'm playing this song at his Memorial this summer. It truly describes his Love of Tolkien, and traveling the world with his wife and kids. The tears just keep ON flowing everytime I listen to this song. I love you my Amazing big brother, you were far too young to leave this world, RIP.
My sister was obsessed with the lord of the rings and playing guitar. She learned how to play this and played it for my ma. She recorded it and thank god she did, sometimes it helps me feel stronger listening to it when I miss her
I was little when I seen mostly small snipits of the films. When I was older, I was able to watch and pay attention to all the details of the movies. I wish my dad was here to see the Hobbit Trilogy. He was the biggest fan I've seen. :')
I'm already starting to choke up. I'm gonna be sobbing uncontrollably as this plays in the theater Tuesday night. Lord of the Rings always has been and always will be my favorite movie, and The Hobbit was the first novel I ever read. This marks the end of a journey that has lasted me many years, and I can tell that the last line of the song is directed at all the fans. I can't help but wonder what it would've been like if Billy Boyd showed up for his first day of playing Pippin and was told he'd be seeing off the entire saga of the Ring
Siddhi Shah Agreed! The movies may be over, but it is still up to each one of us to live our lives with the message of Middle-earth in our hearts. Frodo gave so much and tried so hard in the quest so that people like us could have lives that are free and beautiful. So enjoy your life, knowing that so many have fought for it. Even if they are fictional, these characters and stories can mean so much.
I was a french exchange student in the US. After a whole year, I took the plane to go back to France, heart-broken. I was leaving behind me a whole life, friends, family and memories. During my 12 hours flight, I watched that movie, as a huge fan. When this song started and that I listened to the lyrics, I bursted into tears. It was so accurate to my situation, and every time I listen to it reminds me of the beautiful year I spent abroad. I'm going back this summer, and will for sure listen to it in the plane again.
Thorin died and I cried. I calmed down. I saw the map in Bilbo's home, I was about to cry again. I calmed down. Then came this song...and it crushed me. I can't control my feelings anymore.
There's a lesson to be learned here: With these two trilogies we have seen perhaps some of the greatest events in the history of Middle-Earth, and the beautifully performed music makes it all the more heartfelt. But when you consider other elements that make up the world of Middle-Earth, such as in the Silmarillion, there are countless other events of much, much larger significance than what we have seen transpire in these movies, and yet this simple piece of music makes us all feel for it far beyond our desire. Why? Because it's like Gandalf said, "I have found that it is the small things, everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keeps the darkness at bay. Simple acts of kindness and love." So the lesson is this; although there are countless things out in the universe that are way beyond our understanding or control, which is a fearful thought, we don't need to worry about them, if we could only learn to weigh our love for those who stand beside us over our hate for our differences for the sake of the greater good, just like the Elves realized when the darkness of Dol Guldur descended upon them all at the Mountain.
"a good friend says 'goodbye', a true friend says 'see you later' because you will see them again" - sorry, I forgot who said this quote but it sticks with me
I'm back from the theater. And I thought I cried hard when I saw Return of the King...And this song, I didn't think anything could make me more mournful that a wonderful trilogy has ended since Into the West. I still can't believe this is the last time I'll ever travel to Middle Earth...but I had a good ride. Through being part of this community I've met many friends, I met the love of my life, and I had so many adventures both inside and out of my living room. Thank you J.R.R. Tolkien, thank you Peter Jackson, and thank you to all the people who helped turn LotR and The Hobbit from the series that could never be filmed to the greatest epic to ever hit the big screen and for changing the history of cinema forever. I'm glad I could join you one last time :)
Played this at my mum’s funeral while photos of her life where being played . It was so beautiful as the lyrics talk about taking a journey and never forgetting those that took that journey with her . It is about saying goodbye to those on this journey but not knowing where this new road will take her . This last line ‘I bid you all a very fond farewell ‘ .was the perfect closing line .
My dad and I went into the theater to see The Battle of the Five Armies and we didn't cry until this started playing. Now, I plan on making a video to upload on Facebook about him for the anniversary of him passing away (March 25th, 2015) and I am going to use this song. Memories, good or bad, are always worth the thought when this song is playing.
My dad passed away on the 15th of September in 2014, three months before this movie was released. I'm just sad he and my mom, who passed away on the 18 of December in 2001, are not here to see these incredible journeys come to life from book to movie
I just met billy today, I had him write the lyrics "to these memories I will hold" on a paper. it reminds me of my dad who has passed, and I just love billy. he's amazing.
I agree. It shows that the Middle-Earth journey is finally complete, but that doesn't mean we should forget about it and move on. We can always come back to these movies whenever we want
With Lord of the Rings being a great trilogy for me to start when I was little. I grew up reading The Hobbit novel for my literature class; I loved it, I love the book, it's something I have never seen before! And when The Hobbit movie was introduced, I got excited. Seeing the very last chapter of the Hobbit movie hearing this song, seeing many of the moments happening in the movie I was actually crying. Right now I wanted to finish reading the Lord of the Rings novels. I'm grateful for Tolkien, for The Hobbit and for the movies Peter Jackson made! Those works are spectacular! Since The Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit has been made. I wonder if they will make Silmarillion a movie? Maybe we may have a chance to say hello again to Middle Earth? I sure do hope so!
We won't see a Silmarillion movie. The Tolkien family kinda hated LotR. They even wanted to buy the rights for the Hobbit movie back. So I highly doubt it.
Why would some one make the movie , when actually same as the book something has to be changed in the film so why tolkien hate lotr movie . I feel kinda sad middle-earth stories ends but there still a chance silmarillion become a movie 😳
Auctioneer: "Well there can be no doubt. Who is this man you pledged your loyalty too? A.. Thorin Oakenshield?" Bilbo: " He.... he was my friend..." This broke my heart to see this scene played out. Honestly couldnt stop crying for a while.
*Sniff* that ending was so, so sad, and so beautifully put together, I cried into my sis's shoulder after the credits began rolling....and then, I saw that the song was being sung by Billy, and I had just finished crying...I was crying again after that. The Hobbit was wonderful, and I can't wait to do a Middle Earth Marathon when it comes out for download, or DVD, whichever I buy first lol.
I would advise you to get the DVD. It's just me, I guess, but some things are worth splurging on. I still look at my LOTR DVD with pride while it sits on my bookshelf. If possible, get the extended version!
Thong May Han Absolutely. I own the Blue Ray extended additions of all 3 movies and those are the only movies I have ever bought. Rest is on Netflix and online.
Most likely will, i have both the DVD and the digital version of An Unexpected Journey, and all the extended versions of LoTR. I have yet to buy Desolation of Smaug
My mum is a big Hobbit and The Lord Of The Rings fan and when this came on she said she wants this to be her funeral song and I sort of cry every time I listen to it
I was the eldest of 5 brother's on till a week ago when we lost our second youngest brother Marko at the age of 45. He was always such a strong guy and very loyal to all who knew him. I still can't believe that he has passed from this life and we are all still left to try to go on with out him especially his wife Maria and daughter Grace . Marko was always the life and soul of every party and all things to us his brother's, Paul, Ed, Derek & Brian. when I hear this song I just cry every time and think of my brother Marko Fitzsimons. So proud to call you my brother and on till we meet again. I miss you so much, sleep well my brother.
I cannot express how sad I am. I sat in the theater bawling my eyes out as the credits rolled and played this song. The The movie adaptations and books that revolve around Middle-Earth has been, and still is, a part of me, and I cannot believe I have to watch it end, but it will never die. Thank you J.R.R Tolkien for showing us the wonders of a land where magic, elves, dwarves, and other beings do not seem so far off. Thank you Peter Jackson and all of the actors who helped to make these glorious movies.
My little sister died. On Sunday I must say my last goodbye to her. This song is perfect. It's just a new path she must take. A new path for me. RIP my dear sister. I love you
my boyfriend and i saw the movie yesterday for our Valentine's Day date. it was really good with the intensity of war and the deaths of Thorin, Filli and Killi. Poor Taurriel she lost the man that she had fallen in love with and never got a chance to say that she loved Kili. Fili died with bravery and honor like his brother. and Thorin died as a true king and a good friend to Bilbo Baggins. the deaths made me cry until the end. and thank u Pippin for this beautiful song. keep going with your lovely voice.
adam smith dude at this point its too late to need to put spoiler alert because if thats what you're worried about don't read the comments of a video where 99% of people watched the movie and will discuss it with others
Every time this plays, I get calm and sleepy. It's like a lullaby. I love it. His voice is amazing and calming and the guitar is brilliant. Plus I love Tolkien's works. I am a fan!😁❤
Eyes get teary when i hear this... Brings back memories from LOTR, beautiful memories.. and i love how Peter Jackson linked the ending where he told Legolas to find Aragorn... ahh such a beautiful movie, definitely my favourite..
we‘re currently singing this in our choir at school as an acapella version. I usually don‘t like going to school but on mondays I love going because then we always practice this song. Additionally, I leave school in one year and I don‘t know what I am going to do after, so the entire song fits my life right now. This song makes me happy about having gone to this school but also makes me a litte sad that I leave so soon even though I feel really pressured there at times. Mondays are my favourite days. cheers to this song :) thanks for reading this far, have a nice day :)
I dedicate this song to everyone who were in my life and now they're gone. This song has a lot of meaning to me, because for me life is an adventure. We are in a journey, and there are gonna be a lot of people out there that we are gonna meet, learn a lot from them and we're a gonna see them going away. This song is my last goodbye to all of them.
The one thing that is really great about the LOTR fandom is that we've all journeyed with our middle earth heroes the same way and so differently at the same time. We got attached to them so fondly that it makes it an even greater experience. And we never really say goodbye to our friends, they're in our hearts. This fandom is to me the best because there are no haters whatsoever because, I mean, you can't possibly think of hating one of these masterpieces. Anyway, "I'm looking someone to take part in an aventure"
I honestly hope the new Amazon serie will get this fandom back on track, not that it died but it's pretty close to do so and no one wants that to happen
The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings hits so much closer to home than any other fandom. This song makes my heart ache every time I listen to it, it’s so bittersweet and once you realize the full meaning behind the song it just makes you cry. When I die this song better play at my funeral or else it’s just a complete waste of time.
After watching the movie, having this song at the end credits made me sob. It's so moving, and really hits you as the end of a series of films that have connected people so strongly
I can’t believe its already been five years since this incredible trilogy ended... I still come back to this song all the time, because its one of the best songs I’ve ever heard. Tears me up every time I listen to it.
To those of you who cry when they hear this song.... "I will not say do not weep, not all tears are of an evil" Omg that just made me cry so bad.sorry to people who did the same:(
My dad told me he wanted this to be at his funeral, as much as this song is beautiful to me, now it is sad. I don't want to think of the day he has to go, and it hurts so much. Listening to these words, lyrics, it's almost as if it's him saying it.
I purposely didn't listen to this song until the end of the movie which I saw at the midnight premier. But I was sobbing through the last hour I think, and when the song went on, I ended up staying in the theeater for an extra 15 minutes.
I'm crying...the song is very beautiful but when you know the meaning and the LOTR and TH then it is filled with memorys wich are not only the best ones.
Seeing it end makes me tear up so much. I loved the movie and this song at the end made me cry more than the movie. Such a beautiful song and amazing movies.
This just makes my sob each time i hear it. My best friend and i both loved LOTR and The Hobbit. When he died, this song played at his funeral. I can't here this without sobbing like a child. And maybe time will help, but it's so so hard without him. Every time i hear this it brings back memories of two children, both so innocent, and who didn't know they would loose each other. This truly was your song, Alex, and I miss you.
I know I have little place to speak here, but it is not a bad thing, the death of a friend. It allows you to remember and tell their stories, and give them a life and place in this world after they have gone. Death is not the end, and you will see them again. And do not be afraid to cry. Not all tears are evil.
I sobbed while watching this. I couldn't hold back the tears. This song is one of the best songs that has ever been used in a soundtrack. It (to me) is Bilbo's song. He is returning to the Shire, saying farewell to those that died and those that are still alive.
If you watch the behind the scenes that is exactly what it is, but it is also a farewell to Middle-Earth for the fans. As the Battle of Five Armies is the last adaptation that will likely ever be made.
This song makes me think of bittersweet and bygone days with people now long passed, one final adventure into the unknown and the end of a story. One of three songs that every time I hear it I just reminisce and cry.
Honestly, I have watched the LOTR series more than 50 times and I cry at the end every time..... how can a series be this awesome.. :/ LOTR forever will be the best movie series
I'm going to have a niece soon. February actually. And I'm going to tell her a story about bravery, friendship, trust and a magical ring. Because stories like this one are never gonna die. Not Harry Potter, not Star Wars and not Lord of the Rings. They will be retold again and again for generations to come. So even though we have a closure, it doesn't mean we have to say goodbye.
I heard this some time before I saw BOTFA, and I cried like a baby, even when watching behind the scenes of his recording sessions I kept tearing up. Think this might be the first time in awhile where I have willingly listened to this song and it hasn't crippled me emotionally. He has a range that is a bit hard for me to sing along with (hasn't kept me from trying though), but I absolutely love hearing this, and 'Edge of Night'. Truly a beautiful voice.
Time just gets faster my friend. You'll eventually look back on it just as all things, wondering where the time went. Then songs such as this have much more meaning backing it.
I'm going to see the Hobbit this week and I think that is going to be a difficult weekend... I had already learnt this song because i want to sing it in the cinema
Anche se l'ultimo film non mi è piaciuto rendermi conto che la saga cinematografica che mi ha accompagnato in tutta la vita sia finita è stato un forte trauma.... Pari a quello con Harry Potter D:
+swatpolice911delta Nah mate, that's just his Scottish accent. I come from England and hear a lot of accents like that. He is saying 'heard' just in his beautiful Scottish-accenty way!! ;P
The first time I saw the movie and heard this song at the end of it, I was in the VA hospital recovering from a heart attack. It reminded me of so many of my Army and Marine friends, many of which never returned with me. The song represents for me a way to say goodbye and "fare well" my brothers one more time. It says a lot of what I would like to say to those who went and came back, but especially those who did not. It always bring tears to my eyes to hear it but it is so beautiful and he sings it with such feeling. It particularly hits me when it says "As the snowflakes cover my fallen brothers" since it reminds us of so many battlefields and how a battle ends, what is the real cost. That was in 2015 and after another heart attack, cancer and yet another recovery, today (2021) the song has the same effect. May it help others remember those brothers and sisters who went and never returned. As the song says, I will never forget them and will never regret having shared what we did together. Leonardo
Im not Joking. I can get sick of the LOTR And The Hobbit movies so easily because of how much i have seen them... but... This song Makes me think of my amazing memories with my friends that i haven't seen for 6 years, We all watched the LOTR For the first time together. AND THIS SONG MAKES ME CRY :( :( :( Am i alone... am i the only one that feels this way?
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this song the words and Billy Boyd singing it , is just absolutely bliss.. thank you for putting this on You tube! It was amazing to cook too and just keep repeating it! Blessings and love to all in light! JoAnna
The best part about the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit fandom is that you never really say goodbye. Even if you're a part of other fandoms, or are even just passing through, you're always welcome.
Tea is at six =). We're always ready for another adventure.
Tea is at four though
And don't bother knocking
That's so sweet - I've gone through a lot of fandoms and this is the first one to offer me a tea as soon as I join :)
Love this comment!!❤️❤️
We really do need someone to continue writing new books and movies of Tolkien, this can't be it🤒
PIPPIN: I didn't think it would end this way.
I loved that scene qwq
OMG I LOVE YOU IN THIS MOMENT AHAHA
+Ems Bourland kinda sounds like Aslan's country in the 3rd Narnia Voyage
Michael Mera they went to heaven
I will always remember the Hobbit and Lord of The Rings. Forever.
Me too
Me too
Me Three. Forever until the end of all things
Me too...
MMMMMEEEEEEEEEE TTTTTTTTTTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
"gets me every time" (so soz) but it sounds like a riddle or something!
You mean when edward kenway saw his deceased friends in bar ?
@@aditghifari5039 I actually hadn't thought of that(given that I haven't played any of the AC games after Revelations), but that's actually not a bad comparison.
This seems like the perfect funeral song... Kinda depressing but nice at the same time.
yeah yo right Alister but again it feels healing listening to it in a quite place
dud, this my furneral song. this is more happy sad kind of and I want my family a happy feeling after. .......shit it got deep sorry about that
I want this song for my wake and funeral when I pass away, along with Into The West by Annie Lennox
Glad I'm not the first to think that. But I can't even get through it normally without tearing up...Why do I even bother listening to a song that exists only to make me cry? Off to find funny videos now before I break down completely.
We played this song as my grandfathers last song at his cremation. Beautiful moment, terribly sad but beautiful all the same.
It'd be quite amazing to witness everyone singing along to it.. and I do believe it would be extremely emotional. I'd have probably cried too.
That IS amazing. We'll all miss these movies, I think, and what they meant to us.
when i first saw the lord of the rings, i was 13 and we went to the now rebuilt empire theater. i remember my joy at seeing a real fantasy world and actually laughed when gandalf hit his head.
seeing it all go away so quickly makes me yearn for the good days of my past. before the hardships of my life become shockingly apparent.
my grandmother is dying and now i have no other crutch.
how i wish for my childhood (cries)
That is amazing!!!

We bid a farewell to Sir Christopher Lee. May you go with your ship into the West and we will wave at you from the Grey Havens. Rest in peace Sir Christopher Lee.
Raya Nura He is in a better place now. In fact, I bet you he's smoking a pipe with J.R.R. Tolkien in the Grey havens as I write this comment.
+Joao Gomes damnit. stop using the grey havens wrong. it's just the port that takes the elves into the west, u noob.
Chris Hall I wasn't aware that you couldn't smoke a pipe in ports. But you're a butthead on the internet, so you must be right.
its funny, Christopher Lee was meant to play saruman and when treebeard says he has "a mind of metal", he's not lying. he was in a metal band.
Thank you for being Saruman and Count Dooku
Rest in peace Sir Ian Holm (Bilbo Baggins)

If this song didn't get an Oscar, it will be a crying shame.

Hope everyone is well and loved ❤️
I watched the last Hobbit film this afternoon, and I couldn't stop crying a good half an hour after the movie ended. Love you ♥
Actually, there's a rumor (not sure if it's true) that they're going to make a movie of the Simerilion. (Not sure how it's spelled...)
The Silmarillion* :)
Well, the rumor is not true because Peter said that he is dons with Middle Earth movies. We can only hope for the future, but I'm not sure who would do it and how would that turn out.
Anyway, we have the books and these six films :D
Done*
You never know really, maybe someone will come up to Peter and be all like, "Hey man can I make a Simarilion movie?" And Peter could be all like "Sure man."
So you never really know, and I want them to!
Te amo Mama!
may she rest in peace and may your hearts be filled with joy
Yea I did my friend just died he was only 12 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Uruk Hai, the journey will never end. :)

Agreed!
There's always time to buy the boxed set of the 3 films when it comes out :)
I prefer The Ring Of the Nibelungs the original fantasy story, but LOTR is certainly a few Arrow notches above Narnia movie production wise.

There's a lesson to be learned here:
With these two trilogies we have seen perhaps some of the greatest events in the history of Middle-Earth, and the beautifully performed music makes it all the more heartfelt.
Simple acts of kindness and love."
So the lesson is this; although there are countless things out in the universe that are way beyond our understanding or control, which is a fearful thought, we don't need to worry about them, if we could only learn to weigh our love for those who stand beside us over our hate for our differences for the sake of the greater good, just like the Elves realized when the darkness of Dol Guldur descended upon them all at the Mountain.

Sorry for your loss sir

I hope they'll reconsider... If only...

I dedicate this song to my friend, who passed away this summer. You will never be forgotten my brother.
Can we just focus on how beautiful Billy Boyd's voice is-
He has the loveliest, sweetest voice! Brings tears to my eyes every time!
I can't stop listening to this song, it's so beautiful and powerful. Sadly marks the end of another incredible story
Anyway,
"I'm looking someone to take part in an aventure"
I honestly hope the new Amazon serie will get this fandom back on track, not that it died but it's pretty close to do so and no one wants that to happen
The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings hits so much closer to home than any other fandom. This song makes my heart ache every time I listen to it, it’s so bittersweet and once you realize the full meaning behind the song it just makes you cry. When I die this song better play at my funeral or else it’s just a complete waste of time.
The fact the Pippin sings this somehow makes it a little happier, if that is even possible.
***** billy boyd, yet :)
"I will not say do not weep, not all tears are of an evil"
Omg that just made me cry so bad.sorry to people who did the same:(
My dad told me he wanted this to be at his funeral, as much as this song is beautiful to me, now it is sad.
I don't want to think of the day he has to go, and it hurts so much. Listening to these words, lyrics, it's almost as if it's him saying it.
5 years down the road and this song still gives me feels right in the heart... I often revisit the LOTR and The Hobbit and enjoy them every time
“If more people value home above gold, this world would be a merrier place.” -Thorin Oakenshield
I purposely didn't listen to this song until the end of the movie which I saw at the midnight premier. But I was sobbing through the last hour I think, and when the song went on, I ended up staying in the theeater for an extra 15 minutes.
I came looking for a different song but I found this masterpiece

Or the movie of the Simirilion.
The reason I hate nostalgia is that it makes me miss things really bad
Thanks for the music, Pippin!!! ^^
This is by far my favorite song... I love it, and the message it holds!
This is being played at my funeral when I die, writing it in my will and everything.
I want this song and Into The West by Annie Lennox to be played at my funeral when I pass away as well
This song makes me think of bittersweet and bygone days with people now long passed, one final adventure into the unknown and the end of a story. One of three songs that every time I hear it I just reminisce and cry.
So beautifully sung. Sad words. Sniff.
Wait... The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies came out 2 years ago? Man did time fly by

Leonardo
