Psychedelics are just an exceptional mental health breakthrough. It's quite fascinating how effective they are against depression and anxiety. Saved my life.
Can you help with the reliable source I would really appreciate it. Many people talk about mushrooms and psychedelics but nobody talks about where to get them. Very hard to get a reliable source here in Australia. Really need!
Yes, dr.sporessss I have the same experience with anxiety, depression, PTSD and addiction and Mushrooms definitely made a huge huge difference to why am clean today.
I wish they were readily available in my place.
Microdosing was my next plan of care for my husband. He is 59 & has so many mental health issues plus probable CTE & a TBI that left him in a coma 8 days. It's too late now I had to get a TPO as he's 6'6 300+ pound homicidal maniac.
He's constantly talking about killing someone.
He's violent. Anyone reading this Familiar w/ BPD know if it is common for an obsession with violence.
Is he on instagram?
Yes he is. dr.sporessss
I was on Vyvance for close to 4 years. My most productive working years. The pluses: I was able to decide I am going to write this report and actually sit down and do it instead of fidgeting, getting up a million times for snacks, water, cleaning etc., I wouldn’t let myself get segwayed into stopping and shopping on the way home from work, or an appointment, so I got a lot done. When out on the weekends if I was tired I would actually want to go home and settle down instead of pushing for more “exciting” adventures just to delay going to boring home. My emotions were more even. The downs: I did not need to exercise as much to manage the restlessness and I worked more which meant more sitting down; all I wanted to eat was meat and potatoes so I went from eating mostly raw food (veggies and some meat and fish) to that. So my health started to suffer. I was in my late 50s so I began experiencing tremors, shaking sometimes and a doctor told me these meds are not good when you get older. So I stopped. The nice thing is that by then I knew what it felt like to be more focused and less driven by distraction so that I worked at maintaining that. With yoga, meditation and exercise and a good diet. So two years on medication is a good idea because it lets you know what you are aiming for, but you need to develop other coping skills during that time. And don’t let work take over your life
Thank you. I got diagnosed month ago at 47. On vyvanse, it really is helping me quit addictive habits like cannabising and binge eating. Get up at 5 and exercise. Cold showers help as well. Let’s see where this goes, but my determination is strong now.
I am just starting at 50… I am so encouraged by what you said take it to see how I am suppose to function normally and hit for that with alternative coping mechanisms ❤
Thank you, even more a reason to use the new found discipline for sports!
Also, I hope with a partner it would be more manageable without the meds. I like myself without meds too, but only if I don't have the responsibility to take care of myself 😅 because I really couldn't it was so hard to get basic stuff done.
I’ve been on this for the last 2 weeks and my ability to concentrate is unreal
I’ve been on this for the last 2 weeks and I still have concentration problems, but depression, rumination, and worrying has turned off like a switch. I’m hopeful things can get better when I find the right dosage.
it gets more subtle so bare that in mind
"You come first, and then comes work". Yesss, say it louder for the people in the back. ❤
I just got on Concerta tonight for the first time in 5 years..oh my god..i'm so relaxed and focussed its insane. My problem is i get addicted, i already feel like taking a second one and staying up all night. It seems so much quieter in here too on meds...usually my head is full of noise.
Wait a couple of days until those honeymoon feelings are ovef
My 22 year old might have to try Vyvanse again. i just set him up a "work clothes station", garment rack. 7 underwear, t-shirts, socks, undershirts, and shorts,1 pair brooks gmyshoes and used baskets. now he gets dress for his manufacturing job in the morning in a flash. no long decisions.
Oh girl i love u so much! You helped me a lot in my journey , make me understand more about what I'm going through and giving me a lot of motivation once i was so lost in my life, wish u happiness like how u give it to other people god bless u ♡
Thanks for the video. Really helpful
I’m on day 5 of elvanse and truely life changing so far.
Way better than concerta.
And this is 20mg vs 36mg of concerta !
I was just switched to generic Adderall after two months of trying different versions of methylphenidate and it's been night and day for me already. Almost no side effects worth worrying about and smooth treatment and come downs.
From what my doctor told me, the 20mg v 36mg difference is because amphetamines are basically double the concentration per dose than the methylphenidates. So you're actually taking a slightly higher dose per kilo than before (or something like that). I was at 56mg Metadate and now am starting on 20mg addy.
@@TSpoon823 II went back on Concerta because on the amphetamines, i did not eat or drink. I hard rapid and severe weight loss.
Once again, great video! Thank you for the update and well made video! Take care!😊
This is me right now. Thank you for sharing
Your videos are so validating and ressourceful
Hi Antonia! I found you a few months ago through your other channel and now this one. I was wondering if you can create a video on living a minimal life and how it helps with ADHD!
Such great content and presentation. Thank you so much Antonia. I have an appointment in 2 days to see my General Practitioner (in the UK) to ask for an assessment referral, as I'm sure that I have ADHD, I am in my sixties and I've not ruled out medication, even though I have an amazing job that keeps me so interested every day, with no meaty projects to deal with! So much to learn about ADHD and so many thanks to Antonia and other RUclipsrs who are sharing their experiences 🙏🏻
I’ve been on Adderall for the past 3 years or so and finally was able to get the generic Vyvanse here in the US. I just started it last week so this video is quite timely! I did see the first video but that was before I could the generic so I couldn’t act on it, though the general ideas still apply.
Thanks for making this video as it helps me prepare for what might happen. I’m on 20 MG right now, so there is room to go up if I need to. I also have a 15 mg Adderall I can use in the afternoon if I need it. But I really want to stick to one pill a day as I find it easy to forget the second dose! Anyway, thanks for making this video and glad to see you doing well!
Emotional dysregulation is very common for ADHD. While some people can improve from stimulant medications alone, others might benefit from an additional medication. I've heard from ADHD experts that guanfacine (a non-stimulant medication) can help treat ADHD, especially the mood dysregulation.
Many people who have ADHD also have a comorbidity (another condition simultaneously). I've heard Dr. Russell Barkley say that about 80% of people with ADHD have at least one comorbidity, and about 50% have at least two. Some comorbidities also affect emotions; some examples include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, autism spectrum disorder, or other more rare disorders.
(I was diagnosed with both ADHD and anxiety. When my anxiety gets bad, medication can help. When it's baseline, anxiety medication doesn't seem to help. Staying on ADHD medication has helped a lot to help keep my anxiety levels down most of the time.)
What I cannot speak on is how the experience can be different with women due to the menstrual cycle. That certainly is an important factor to consider.
I have ADHD, autism, tourettes, intellectual developmental disability, expressive and receptive language disability, auditory processing disability, anxiety and emotional issues because I don't understand things and what to expect. I have sensory issues. I don't like it. It makes me confused, scared, frustrated and just not happy.
2 years in June. 28th of June to be precise (my second birthday!)
Your video from 2 years ago was really inspiring. I've had almost the same reactions/side effects.
Is Elvanse registered in your native Bulgaria? It's illegal in Russia. Thankfully I live in the UK.
Huusbandd? 😮 Congrats, Antonia!! ❤🎉🥰
Hi Antonia. I wonder what was your sleep like before medication? I suffer from mild insomnia derived from RLS and I worry about how that may be affected.
I had to move off of Vyvanse after 6 months because of the metabolism of it… it was taking too long and I think I was becoming zinc depleted. I switched to Adderall XR. Well that has the d-salt (what Vyvanse becomes) and l-salt (which is more peripheral nervous system acting)… and I get cold. I am looking into Dexedrine XR, which is just the d-salt, like what Vyvanse becomes.
Exercise helps and having a routine, as well.
What do you mean Vyvanse becomes d salt?
@@melaniemarie1410 d-salt is another name for dextroamphetamine. Much easier to type.
Uh, I didn't know my compulsive eating had anything to do with my ADHD. Good to know, thank you.
I've read once that taking adhd meds for 2 continues years could be so useful for long term and reduce the symptoms of adhd "even when not taking meds after"
It’s not true, after 2 years on amphetamine i will so depleted from dopamine and stuff that you will suffer PAWS 1-2 years after stopping this meds
@@za_daleko i understand sir but I've mentioned nothing in my comment about stopping the meds!
Been on Xaggitin XL 72mg for a year now and have made an absolute amazing difference… but because I have Audhd, the Autism portion of my disorder has really done a number on me by heightening its symptoms after correction of the adhd and now even more than ever I end up in some right states of impending meltdowns
Never heard of it but that is one wicked drug name..Xaggitin? I love it. Sounds like a psychdelic to be honest.
@@stoneneils Yea it’s a funny name is Xaggitin XL… a prolonged release Methylphenidate medication that lasts 12 - 14hrs per day. Also had a brand called Concerta XL during the medication shortage which was nowhere near effective.
I have done vyvanse in the past but only for a month. I couldn't workout because of heart palpatations. Does that go away?
I am almost a year, on my last psychiatric checkup dr. Ask when I would like to start getting off meds… I got super anxious, I do not afraid my normal adhd stuff, but I am scared to death that depression will come back. Did anyone talk to you how long you should take meds? When to stop etc…?
you're talking about ADHD medication? you can take it all your life. if it improves your life and your doctor wants to quit you - change doctors! it's important to seek medical help only from a professional who specializes in ADHD.
hi i have a question if i use meds do i lose my hyperfocus?
I'm on 70mg at the moment. Experiencing lots of positives but also a bit more restlessness, poor/shallow sleep, and worry and anxiety. I also tend to binge eat and crave sugar more when the effect is going away in the evening. Hopefully it will pass but I'm so freaking tired after work now. I feel like I'm just surviving at the moment. Working full-time with stress is tough. I don't either feel any better on the medication like other people say they do. Will it ever get better?
Hi, maybe the dose is a little high? I just started on 30mg and have noticed I don’t feel the impulse to binge if I have a high protein breakfast and stay hydrated through the day… I also take melatonin and magnesium to sleep, since poor sleep makes me feel like it’s not working well. But if medication doesn’t seem to be for you there are also systems and tools you can research to manage. Maybe have a conversation with your dr?
If it doesn't try Concerta..I could not handle amphetamines. I think I'm too skinny. They both feel basically the same. From reading these comments some people handle on better than the other.
is Vyvanse like ritalin I was on ritalin long time ago which worked very well and later on aderal which was like taking lots of caffeine
Look how interesting this is. You and me both find Ritalin to work better than Adderal...while the majority feel the opposite. Its like indica vs sativa.
whats your dosage? 40mg, 30..?
I couldn‘t get past the insomnia. 😢 I had to stop after one week. And it‘s a pity, because Elvanse really brought a peaceful feeling in the first days. But then, because of not sleeping, I would just be exhausted all the time.
Because the shit is meth😂 these fuckin Psychiatrists are paid by insurance companies don’t forget😂 needa get you hooked to keep making money and relying on the pharmacy
Me too. I could not sleep, i could not eat, i could not drink. So i'm back on Concerta..i don't any side effects at all.
That means u dont have adhd.
@@p1mm3No it doesn't. Insomnia and not eating are known side affects for people with adhd. U should be careful when making statements like that. Invalidating someone's diagnosis based on no evidence - and probz a lack knowledge/qualifications - can be very damaging.
@@TheAjrclark if u have insomnia and not eating while on the meds you dont have adhd. I got diagnosed adhd and i know very well what im talking about.
Ritalin has been good for me so far - 1 year in.. With Therapy
Antonia can I ask you how old you are and when you started to take the medication? I am 35 and after playing life on hardmode I consider finally giving and and trying medication again. Bit worried since I suffer from anxiety that it might get worse but who knows. Cheers
Is your tattoo related to adhd? I'm thinking of getting adhd related tattoo this summer 😊
If its a true adhd tattoo it will remain half-finished.
@@stoneneils this is good one ♥️🤣🤣
None of these medications work long term.
Antonio is the best hungarian alive in the world "yes even better than Dominik Szoboszlai" 😍😎
