After i purchased this headphone, Sundara is staying in the box and is not raping my ears with it's sharp treble. Aune are super nice, especially with a slight bass boost.
Well, there is also a price difference currently - AR5000 is a laid back and relaxed soundig headphone, Sundara is a very energetic and forward one, very different presenations. Happy to hear you found something you like!
Great review, very detailed and informative ! This headphone will be out of my comfort zone but going to try them anyway. My compliments on the video quality but most of all the microphone quality :D
I own these. The soundstage on ar5000. Changes depending on how you wear it. If you move your headphone forward the sound sounds like the sound coming out of your head. If you move it backwards. It become super wide. Just want to put it in here because you missed this crucial part. I think its because of the angled driver. This change the soundstage completely and you will notice a difference at least i do. I prefer these over the hd600 or hd58x. Imo this is like a hd600 but with bass and soundstage its what i am looking for. To my ears at least.
Ah, very good point. I usually place most headphones where they sit most comfortably on my head, so I disregard the improvements in sound if they wouldn't have a secure seal, or feel unnatural on my head at that position
@@AudiophileHeaven I understand what you mean for me personally I wear spectacle . So ya , but the placement for the headphone makes a huge change. Especially when you wear more front. The sound is like coming out of your head from.my experience it's crazy
@@calvinyip364 that's my favorite thing about these headphones, the soundstage, and out speaker like they sound! it's like so holographic and everything is right in front of you, there's distance, there's elevation, it's really cool! I love how much of an experience it is just that alone, not even counting how pleasing they are to wear or the natural timbre
@@calvinyip364 I wondered the same thing before. I bet the HD800 is a lot more "distant" but lacks the capability of nuance the Aune has where it could be very intimate at some points but very distant other times. I'd be curious if there are any headphones with soundstages like the Aune. Probably have to pay at least a grand for that, lol.
Thank you! They are similar in tuning and comfort, but SR3 has more detail and resolution, improved comfort, a more neutral sound , and costs double or more for the street price.
@@malithwithana3401 SR2 is more relaxed than both but also neutral. Aune went for a warmer, bassier sound, iBasso always goes for a more neutral tuning with the SR line of headphones.
@@AudiophileHeavenMaybe there are other similar models to them in your experience? Ibasso sr3 is not available in my stores to listen and understand the sound.
They are similar to Verum 1 according to the FR graphs although I haven't actually heard those. They do remind me of hd600 but they are even better than hd600 which I like. Probably my new favourites.
@@dtz1000 Verum one does sound similar, but Verum has much more bass especially sub bass. HD600 is really close and HD650, but I never owned either for long periods of time, so I could not mention them but those are good reference ones!
Hi, I love your channel. One of your recent videos got me thinking, am I over powering my headphones? I've got a Burson Soloist 3XP running my Ananda Stealth. It's 4W into 32Ohms unbalanced / 8W into 32Ohms balanced. It's also like 40V or some crazy thing like that. Am I going to cook my Ananda or my other planars? I've been running like this for about 2 weeks now.
If the volume is low and ou don't hear a high distortion, it is not overpowered. Too much feels like either a lot of distortion, or like too much volume. This is because most sources can control how much of that power they push into the IEMs / Headphones they are driving.
What can happen with powerful amps and planar headphones is that you will accidentally increase the volume too much then plug them in without noticing and break the membrane.
Honestly, the somewhat forward midrange would work, but I wouldn't use them for mixing and music work, a bit too gentle, too soft and too refined. You'd need something a bit more raw, like OLLO S5X, but the OLLO is quite a bit pricier
I don't have fans in my room, but I can hear myself typing on my keyboard really clearly, it does not isolate from outside noise. You will hear everything that's happening.
I don't hear my fans if I have music playing. Of course with no music on I hear everything around me. These isolate a little bit. They aren't like some other open backs such as many planar magnetics (Hifiman for ex) where there's zero noise isolation. The Aune to me is actually a bit closer to a semi-open back like the Beyerdynamics. Maybe not as isolating, but decent if you have a fan or the AC running. With music, you prob won't hear the humming much.
You can use it with a phone jack if the phone has good power, but it won't be very loud or rach max potnetial. They are not the hardewst to drive, but not the easiest either. With an Asus ROG 7 it is ok, but a cheap dongle DAC can do wonders for the sound

If your smartphone has a headphone output yes. The sound may be a bit quiet, as it does not have that much driving power, but it is possible.
