Yall's response to the foot surgery ask is really similar to what I do with those kind of questions. Sometimes it feels weird to encourage them to shop elsewhere but avoiding sales in complicated situations like this is the way to win.

Just a word of advice, if a seller ask you to hold an item then do not i have seen sellers ask me to hold an item and i then check their store/ inventory to find out that they have same item as i have for sale trying to get the sale for them self and then trying to lowball me to flip my item for a profit on market..... A couple on ebay got me like this 3 times before i caught on.... bought mine off mercari and then posted on ebay
It never makes sense to hold an item for anyone. Slows down your business. Good point 👌👌

I always put Pre-Owned but in Good, or Fair or Great Condition. I always refer them to the pictures as well so they get a good look at the pictures. Only had one return on shoes so far. Great info in this one guys thanks. I had someone ask me to hold and then they never paid, no more.

You can hold the item and let them deposit $20 , if them dont buy the $20 is yours.

Mercari sucks. I bought the authentification certification on an authentic purse . Made no difference, they let it be returned.

I have learned so much through y'alls videos! I started selling on eBay in September. Cross posting on P.M. in November & now FB Market place. Need to branch out to Mercari now...I primarily sell clothing & shoes. No returns so far, knock on wood! I have however had big red flags on every platform! SCAMMERS! Biggest has been people offering more $ than list price & requesting me to send to a address not associated with their account. Messages are pretty much the same! Its a gift for my so & so.....

Yes of course. We do our research on RUclips, Reddit and the brands website as well as use the app Check Check to authenticate.
I have a question, I seen items on mercari that allows to make an offer, but when I list an item for sale I cant add the make an offer option, is there a trick for it?

I purchased an item and received something else got refunded and my order status says that I don’t have to ship the item back for return so I’m stuck on what to do any advice because I told the seller that I want to try to return the item because I got my money back so they don’t get stuck hanging

Hello thanks to you (both) for your info I took a pair of LaCoste leather white shoes that I have listed on eBay ( that I got from a storage unit auction I won) and haven’t sold lol and am cleaning them and shoelaces r in the wash :) I cleaned them with Clorox wipes and scrubbed the bottoms. So this will b my first pair to sell. Watching this I’m going to sell on a market place like posh art. I’m going to try it

I sell on ebay full time but because of covid and the closing all stores in my state I'll be applying for unemployment, the stimulus package includes self employed and gig workers (thank God I paid my taxes last year). sales are strong but since I cant go out and source my inventory is dwindling fast !!! I did $700 in sales last night . I cant wait for the country to get past this so we can all get back to work!! Everyone stay well , stay safe!!!

Hi, I sold an item on Mercari. It’s due to arrive to buyer tomorrow. They requested a refund cause they said their partner found the item at their local retailer for cheaper. Will Mercari side with them?
That’s up to Mercari but you should screenshot that conversation (as long as it was on Mercari) and use it to contact Mercari in case they do open up a return.

Since you sell on multiple platforms, how do you determine which shoes to post which places? Or do you cross post them on multiple?
We source pairs that are selling well on all the marketplaces we plan to list them on.

We usually respond with “we source shoes all over New England...we are full time shoe resellers....were you looking for this pair or is there another brand and style we can try and hunt down for you?”
I got a buyer that bought size 14 soccer cleats, but he responded with a return request, he said they fitted too tight. What should I do? Considering that he has no ratings from sellers and joined not too long ago
He also said they fitted like a size “ 13 “ .

Neither...on Mercari we offer free shipping and get the label through the app.
If a potential customer wants measurements of insole, outsole, width, etc., do you provide?
Unless it’s a tall boot or a unique style no we don’t. All the size info is on the tag and you can research how the shoes fit in comparison to other brands with a simple google search.
I have seen people referring deadstock ds to used shoes tf ?!
....some people lie.
Rnzy yes but they actually say it in the description and on the info for everyone to see that they are used but then say in the title deadstock. I think some people don’t know what deadstock is but heard it somewhere and now they say it too

You can win on all the marketplaces so we use the ones you enjoy. We don’t enjoy using Ebay. Seller protection is one of the reasons we use the marketplaces we use.

Thanks to you two, I've been using a similar response to the mileage question and more often than not, I am able to close the sale by going into great details of the condition. I also use another one of your tips which is adding a call to action and it has led to more sales.
