Have you ever encountered rude employees at thrift stores when they ring you up with so many shoes in your cart? I had a girl roll her eyes and loudly say “I hate resellers” as I took my receipt from her. I had about 20 pair of shoes! I was so embarrassed. Thanks for all the info… I’m just getting started reselling!
Don't take it personally. Some places have a negative outlook on resellers, but at the end of the day, you're giving them business. If she was rude, she's the one who should be embarrassed. Not you.

In Maine, can you get a sales tax exemption and then file with the sate? In Pennsylvania, clothing and shoes are not taxed.
We source almost all the New England states. We will have to look into that some more.

It's great to talk about NET PROFITS! Many many many many hot-shot You Tube resellers (I ain't gonna name names - but I want to) act like TAXES and EBAY FEES don't exist. When you make $100.00 on a single item: you're REALLY making $67.50 .
Do you ever have pairs of shoes double sell like sell on different platforms at the same time? I'm assuming you just have to cancel one. Are there any consequences that you know of on the platforms for doing this often? Thanks!
We run our business from our phones. We don’t even own a computer. When something sells we take the listing down off the other marketplaces.
How do you know if the air max bubble is popped ? Why did you stop posting on utube ? Why don’t you sell on eBay ?
If the air bubble easily sinks in when pushing it…it’s popped. It should be firm and difficult to push. We aren’t RUclipsrs….we are shoe resellers so we focus on growing our business. Plus we’ve posted everything we do and how we do it. It’s all here and free info. We don’t use EBay simply out of preference. You can win on all the marketplaces so we use the ones we enjoy. We don’t enjoy EBay.
Do you guys scan as you guys look for shoes to buy? I'm doing this part time, but most of the store I go is all junk
We source high volume thrifts so we say no to 90% of it and bring home the profitable pairs based on doing research of sold listings on the marketplaces we plan to sell on.

When you comp your shoes do you price them to sell at the comp or do you mark it up a little bit from there to start out with your listing price?
We price at the high end of comps to leave room to negotiate.
