That's the thing, they abused and wrecked the shit out of them which gives us all this content. We're thankful for that but also they don't deserve those cars.
Posted in an earlier vid when you started, its super key on Subaru and Honda Black paint, being so soft, to use lighter pads than normal and more steps. Orange with a medium cut, white pad and polish, then black pad with ultra fine finishing polish. Its the heavy cut compound/pad's that cause the hazing on the first stage of correction it heats the clear up and you can't polish it out later. Orange pad is also too aggressive to get a clean finish with polish, MINIMUM white, but best result black with ultra fine polish. Try Lake country pads in colors mentioned, and Scholl compounds- Use S17+ for heavy corrections (Orange pad), S30+ for the main polishing stage (white pad) and then fine finish with S40 (black pad). Euro paints are much harder compared to Japanese water based paints and particular Subaru black one of the worst. Don't work single areas with too much pressure or for too long. If the compound starts to appear 'dry' as your working it, its already too warm and will be the cause of that haze.
I hope after the detail is done you guys share with us all some of the things you learned during this process. What was the good and bad? What worked well what did'nt? What could have made it better? What chemicals and tools do you recomend? Which ones do you wish you had? Where did you buy your supplies? Great videos really enjoyed them all.
Can't wait to see the finalll product and yes that includes polishing the muffler cuz I'm weird like that every time my car is washed.... Great job brother
Now with the paint looking much better please look up videos on how to wash the car without damaging the paint. Multiple buckets, definitely no squeegee to dry it. It’s a lot of work to improve the finish, you don’t want to damage it all again. Good towels are key to keeping it looking that way.
So what were the steps finally? 1. sand with 3000 grid. 2. orange pad with 105. 3. orange pad with 205 or was it red pad with this advanced stuff? Got a little confused in the end ;)
You ever going to put a lift in your garage? I am planning on building a garage around that size, plus put a wood stove, just like you have, but will be installing a lift as well. I am also going to make sure to pave all around mine. I love your garage, you seem to have everything you need, to run a small garage fixing cars. Obviously in your case, it's made into the perfect DIY'ers dream garage, minus the lift. Cheers , love the content :-)
Soft paint is easier to polish so I think it’s probably the opposite and the factory paint is probably harder paint than the rest if it was giving you trouble.
I wonder if the previous owners see these videos and are like “damn to think that was mine just a few weeks ago” lol
I wonder if any hit him up to buy it back cause they look so good Lmaoo. I would.
Or the fact that it was over filled with oil and the coolant leak was so minor!
devin always does an amazing job with flipping cars
Seemed like he didn't give a rats poop.

It’s impressive how much skills you have
你是哪个国家的
more like.. how much time he has to work on this build...
jmj5150 it’s his job? And life haha
Travis FS so what, the amount of knowledge he has to build and fix cars so quickly is impressive
@@jdm132 anybody who has the time to work on anything 24 hrs a day is impressive.. some ppl have nothing else to do or offer to this world...
I can literally hear the previous owners tear drops hitting the floor.

My jaw dropped as you pulled it out the garage good shit man all that work paid off!
Devin: “I’m sure you guys are sick of the detailing videos.”
Me: “I live for these videos.”

Detailing is probably the most important part bro. That’s everyone’s first impression of the car is what it looks like.
Can't wait to see the finalll product and yes that includes polishing the muffler cuz I'm weird like that every time my car is washed.... Great job brother
Sti looks like a mirror 👌👌
Excellent work 👍👍
Niiiice!👍I own black STI as well. Seems that I’ll do similar with mine. It’s worth to spend nearly whole week of correcting- couse result is sick!👌

Gawd!!!! Well done!! Beautiful car bro!
Love this build. Thinking about getting a wrx sti as a daily here soon. Then my SS will be my play toy. Any advice for starting a new channel build?
Hi I just want to know how many times did you take off the wheels of the STI😜
What are you polishing the rear lights and windows with?
Hey bro I really appreciate your videos and it makes my day better always
Damn that oil on the ground at around 00:30
Ikr looks like whatever was in front of him was ACTIVELY leaking oil while driving down the road
You should get some xt006r in 18x11 +8
I’m really not a fan of those blue rims
What exhaust is on there? I like the fitment of it and I’m thinking of switching mine up.
If you do choose to sell the car could you do a breakdown of the cost of everything? always interesting to see!
Idk if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure I saw your old sti for sale

Black wheels and just murder it out man. That paint looks Phenomenal.
That's just boring though everyone does that these days
“I hope the Evo looks this good some day” 🤣 Keep dreaming dude. Subaru will always be best
Was the grey SUV leaking something at 0:22? You see rainbow drops on the ground, buy once Devin passes him, they're gone.

Nice, keeping it simple
3 black cars bro STI,Evo 8 and the FRS nice bro

Same I seriously can’t stand the blue ones... it’ll look so so so better with black wheels
Devin: “ I know y’all are sick of the detailing videos.”

Yes
She's awesome bro

If possible can you change blue rims into neon green rims 😝
it needs some sti front seats. Why would you swap it out for some sickspeeds :-(
Soft paint is easier to polish so I think it’s probably the opposite and the factory paint is probably harder paint than the rest if it was giving you trouble.
Love it!

Riding the bike in the rain?! Sketchy !

God dam 😍 now I definitely need to do mine!
Just give me the ok and I’d be happy to drive to Spokane and professionally polish and ceramic coat the evo 8.
Subaru logo on the front of the sti please🙏🙏🙏🙏
You don't like a clean exhaust tip lol?
the car would look nice in the color of the wheels.
Its something about a freshly detailed black car
Where front subaru logo? 😏
Devin paint wheels same colour as the evo 8 wheels looks soo much better
