As a resident of DFW, I have to say that 1. Even I was surprised you came to a stand still on I-35 in pre-Dawn hours and 2. I didn’t know there was such thing as no traffic in Austin in daylight hours. Well done.
Congrats Adam on your Saddlesore 1000 accomplishment. Welcome to the toughest riders group. I’m thinking about the next adventure of 1500 for the Bunburner. I’d love to ride to TX just to do it. Have rode cross country once.
it’s a cool thing to say that you did 1000 miles in 24 hours.. people are always surprised when I they ask”how far can you go on it” and I answer with “ive gone like 1200 miles straight before..
Great Job Mr. Iron Butt. If I was only in my 30-ties again. When I was in the NAVY, many moons ago, I used to drive from Chicago, Great Lakes back to N.Y. on weekends. That was 960 miles each way, in 14 hours. But, can't do it today, even 500 miles is very hard. Enjoy your youth and be active. Thanks for good video from a fellow Honda Valkyrie "Day Rider". Thanks again.
Ohh yeah!! That ride was fun and as I’m currently 29, the long distance rides are getting hard. But someone’s gotta do it. Also, thanks for watching. Love the support
As a Texan myself, I’m really surprised. A lot of people said, did you do it in Texas? Yes I did. I could do the whole thing in Texas and never retrace my steps too!! Thanks for watching

@F6B_ADVENTURES I should do one and register, but I haven't. I have just ridden them because I love to ride. We did a Bossier City, LA to Laredo, TX for a late lunch at the border, and then back to Bossier Ciry ride in late January of 2018. It was right at 1,200 miles for to door in about 18 hours too.
Houston to El Paso is 771 (9:47 hr/min) miles and all I-10 (Interstate) 80 mph legal speed west from San Antonio to El Paso. Good job with the insane traffic on 35
@@F6B_ADVENTURES He's asking if IBA approved your trip but you said you didn't submit it so that doesn't matter. And he's referring to the fact that IBA doesn't condone dangerous speeds. Maybe bossboss doesn't know this is Texas and everyone drives 80+ on I35. Good on you taking time to 'touch' the water but I would have turned around when I hit 510 miles. I've done 7 Saddlesore 1000's (I think) and my best time was right at 15 hours.
Yepp. I believe you can go on a ride and as long as you keep track of the miles and have a track of how you’ve gone the. You should be good. I’ve had buddies that just go and then send them gps route and they approve it after the fact

They would laugh or smile and say something like "Yeah, right" and wave me through! That proved that the cameras and AI had already cleared me as okay...
Adam, you're a very young man w/ a nice big new bike..... I'd think you could do 1,500 miles in 24hrs. That's just 60mph thru-out the journey but perhaps this trip is a big one no matter how big a bike or your age? I'm thinking about doing it on a Honda 300L so go figure? peace & be safe
I had to do a quick search to figure out what that is. Looks like a dirt bike. That’s cool! Hopefully you can make the journey.. where are you going to try and make it to? Where is the start/stop?
Hey, you are out there..... Start..... Hmm, Dallas to Padre Island, plus or minus 50 miles. I'm still saving for my bike and I'm your neighbor to the North at Lake Texoma. 60 miles north of Dallas on Highway 75 . I just learned about this ride & it kinda hit me that after I get my bike I might as well do this as part of my break-in? Why not? I'll drop you a line before I do it since you are pretty close. Ohh, the Honda 300L Rally version is what I'm saving for. It's a tiny bit different than the 300L but those differences are what I want in a bike. It's a Dual Sport that might allow me to go down that Beach Road & keep going at the barricades? Who knows but I enjoyed your trip. peace
Now that's an interesting idea..... I don't know but if I did an Iron Butt ride I'd surely have a camera just to snap documentation shots of Gas Stations/Receipts & Mileage ridden. I'll have to consider that one, yeah. ? peace

Did who ok the trip? And who doesn’t like it when I’m spending. At cyclegear. It’s a gas line that I used for a straw
