This, the ORIGINAL Broadway cast is by far the best. The movie's music's tempo is too fast; in fact too fast throughout its entirety! This is stirring and one can't help but join in!

However the play isn't taking place duriong the french revolution but during the june rebellion (that failed) after the napoleonic war. (but since france had like 100 years of revolution and rebellion it's quite undestandable)
