I wouldn't be mean enough to continually bug her about it like in these comments, but the first time I saw Les Miserables, there was an Eponine who had a very strong and commanding voice so I've always thought of her like that. I just feel like this Eponine has a completely different personality than the one I am so familiar with. I don't hate her version, I just prefer a different one : )
This is my favorite Eponine, Frances Ruffelle has such a childlike voice and I haven't heard another Eponine that has that imperfect quality, Eponine isn't supposed to be perfect, beautiful or anything like that.

I just listened to the movie version. It just felt kinda weak in comparison. Might be biased, just because this is what I was introduced to. I absolutely *love* this song. Just so powerful, conveys so many emotions. Absolutely an amazing job for every single actor here. I have no complaints on the characters, whether it's Eponine or Marius. All of them together make such a pretty song to listen to. Edit: I forgot to include this in the actual comment, but if you're trying to sing along, perhaps stick to one character at the end. Great job to everyone singing!
Nah, you’re not biased, it IS weak by comparison, mainly because the only two who really sing as if they’re on a stage and need the people in the back to hear them (which is the way this musical needs to be sung) were Aaron Tveit and Samantha Barks. Everyone else sang like they were afraid of breaking the camera if they sang too loudly, so it didn’t work.

Actually, the 2010 spanish cast album of les Misérables was recorded in a studio, there's even a video showing them in the recording studio. Most albums produced by 'Stage entertainment' (Sister act, Cyrano etc) just have an applauding audience added after recording in the studio, so it 'sounds live'... But it doesn't really matter that much, that spanish cast album is awesome!
Every year, on the last day of summer, I just dance my heart out to this song. Just finished the 4th annual dance. I’m panting and sweating. 10/10, I recommend.

Different people played the roles in each production (except for Colm Wilkinson and Frances Ruffelle who came to the U.S. from London to perform on Broadway). They made albums with both casts. The London cast was made first, but the Broadway version is closer to what the show is like now (some changes were made since the London production opened).
