Just recently picked one up and truly appreciate the craftsmanship and details that went into this quality Seiko. As this is my first ever GS in my collection, this got me hooked on exploring other GS models
You say in the video that this has a glossy dial (and the video makes it look glossy too) but the SBGX261 definitely has a matt black dial, and I thought this did too, can you confirm if it is matt or glossy under a strong point light eg sunlight? Thanks
This video is a lovely find. I've recently fallen madly in love with the 9F movement & plan to purchase one hopefully in the near future. On the maintenance side, can the battery be changed by anyone or are only certain stores in M'sia certified to do it?
I did. I bought this very same model in January this year and found it was running towards the fast end of the 10 s/year stated accuracy. As the caliber can easily be regulated I gave it a try myself moving the trimmer one notch and now it runs about 3 sec/year fast. Sweet.. ;-)
@@roadgent7921 I simply check the time on a regular basis. Since I set the watch precisely to summer time on the last Sunday of March UTC + 2 (4 months ago) it has gained 1 second in just a little over four months. You do the maths..
@@GFWatch Timepeaks has an amazing selection I just checked. How was the buying experience? I notice lots of watches don't show the case diameter unfortunately.
Very nice review! Not too short not top long. And very well filmed 👍🏻

Great slow motion shots!

The battery can be easily changed by anyone like a normal quartz watch. You don't have to worry about damaging the movement as it's fully sealed.
GF Watch hi, what year that the first owner purchased it? Mine dont have that geneve stripe on the machine
As I mentioned in the video, it's from 2015.
I'm actually looking at one of these right now on eBay for about the same price box and papers
Where did you buy it in $1500....????
Hi, how much you got this GS? I am looking for the same watch. Thanks
I did mentioned in the video 😊
@@GFWatch sorry, i missed it.
Hi would one for 1100 dollars good condition be a good deal..
I think so
is the crown screw down or push?
It comes with a push-pull crown
Great review! What is the original retail price?
Original retail price is USD2300
With this watch fit on a 7.25 inch wrist?
It should be able to fit
I will eventually buy a grand Seiko when they release a thinner watch. Their watch even with quartz are still way too thick
check out the the seiko dolce
10 mm is consider thin for a watch...🤔🤔🤔
Hi have you tested the accuracy of this actual watch? Thank you.
I did. I bought this very same model in January this year and found it was running towards the fast end of the 10 s/year stated accuracy. As the caliber can easily be regulated I gave it a try myself moving the trimmer one notch and now it runs about 3 sec/year fast. Sweet.. ;-)
@@pieterjlansbergen6988 That's a great result! Was that on a quartz timer or some other method?

@@pieterjlansbergen6988 Got it. Fantastic accuracy. My best is about 6spy but it is a 1980s Seiko. Thanks for the feedback.
@@roadgent7921 that is really excellent. Is that perhaps on a 7A38 caliber?
Good vid. I think that GS made a mistake to put the GS logo down and SEIKO up. But thats my opinion. :)
Thanks. Newer Grand Seiko's do not have the Seiko logo anymore 😊
The 061 is the old model, so the SBGX261 has just the GS and Grand Seiko on it :)
A RUclipsr with a small wrist. Deo Gratias
Where did you buy it?
Bought it from Timepeaks

Ya, but you can always request for more info. It'll take a day or two for them to update the information.
