I have a 2018 RZ-PRO and love it. Only issue I have had is Keypad gone out twice. I do not wash mower with water for any reason. I use a battery operated jobsite blower to clean deck. I park it inside when not in use.
I bought my Spartan through Kelly Tractor around 4 years ago. 61 inch. I did my research before purchasing and also researched the company itself. No problems and i am not easy on my mowers. My ground is very rough and hilly and i cut around 4 acres at a time. I did hear they were bought out which tells me they were a threat to the big boys.
Spartan and Bad Boy come from the same idea. Bad Boy is the original idea, and Spartan is the start of the company when co-owner of Bad Boy had a falling out. They're both ridiculously over built. I bought a Bad Boy Rogue over the Spartan equivalent. I really liked the Spartan too, but went with the Bad Boy in the end.
On my 5th season with the Spartan HD 61 inch. I keep 10 of 12 acres mowed weekly *. Has been a great mower so far. Only issues are a tendency to scalp while turning on hillsides, throttle wont hold position and I have tightened the 10mm nut several times. I also had to remove the ROPs. It almost killed me twice. (low branches)

Yeah, they’re both manufactured n Batesville, AR. The address for the Spartan plant, is Bad Boy Lane! It tells the address on the VIN/Manufacter tag.
We are getting a Maverick HD and a Rebel X in a week or so when the order comes in. Can’t wait to see how they preform

Mine wont stop adjusting the cut height on its own, which is a know problem
Im a commercial operator and have both a bad boy renegade and a spartan kg. I give the nod to spartan
