I know this is a year old video but around the 6:30 mark you mentioned something about Bad Boy Mowers with cracked frames and cracked decks. How common is this?????? and how much labor are they paying out to replace or repair a cracked frame?????
Not very often, but I have seen some in the past 16 years. The last one a renegade fell off the trailer on the way here to get an oil change and it broke the frame going down the Hwy. bad boy gave us 8 hours labor to swap the frame on it. Definately non of them should have been warranteed. One customer drove over the front of his with his 18 wheeler front tire and broke it in 2 🙈😳
Which mower offers the most room and comfort for large (and tall) guys? On some zero turns, the levers seem to have little clearance even for thin people. I want to buy a first class mower that doesn't have a coach experience. 😅
So your gonna want to step up to a “full frame” mower. Spartan offers the cheapest. Bad boy starts at the Rebel, hustler the xone, Scag is the cheetah, and grasshopper is pretty nice on the 226v, but the 337 feels a lot better. Gravely is the 260…etc. Some company’s like grasshopper have the “big boy” kit with taller handles and wider seat option. Some you can move the handles up on the split like bad boy.
I am currently waiting on my new Bad Boy Maverick HD, with the 54" deck, to arrive, from my local dealer (Card Mills, TX area). It will have the Kawasaki engine. I really wanted the larger Honda engine with the EFI, but my local dealer discouraged me from going with the Honda. They say that they wouldn't work on the Hondas, because of the EFI. They also told me that if I went with the Honda, I could only get the 23.5 horse engine on a 54" deck. I am really disappointed at not being able to make that choice. At
The Honda has waay more power and it’s the least problematic motor in that line up. If they are scared of the Honda you shoulda got the efi kohler it’s a beast as well. We have the kohler, kawasaki, and Honda efi in stock if you want to just get it from us. We can deliver or you can come pick up. 9035174093. We work on anything bad boy sells because we are a bad boy dealer and have certified mechanics on staff certified in all engines they offer :).
How many patrio5s have come bacj into shop for repair work? I have two lical scag drakwrs in northeadt tennessee in cox tractor in kingsport ans boones creek outdook power equipment locateamd near johnson city,tn. I also like that hustker gastrack mower. My clisest hustler dealer in kubota of johnson city,tn. I noticed onntyem you can ge4 tte new kawasaki ft730v efi engine on them.
We have a very low repair rate on the scags. The patriot is pretty stout. Hardly ever see them in the shop. The biggest issue is if there is any water in the gas at all they are the worst at not starting. I’ve had some instantly have to have the gas replaced due to just a little bit of water in the gas
Brother I found the Lord through Job also, I've read it so many times in chapter 32-34, the young boy he was the one person Job listened too, that chapter alone took all my anger away from God, with the understanding of the young boys speech to Job and why the young boy was created to help Job to understand what was happening to him and why.
Do you have a comparison video for best at price categories? Say 10k? Would you say you can go for commercial zero turn at 10k? I'm new to looking at zero turns and want to make sure I make a good choice.
Rear discharge is terrible on both. I would recommend side discharge 100% or doing a 4x rear discharge 337 grasshopper or 329 or 335. The xone is more like the rebel, the xride is more like the rebel x, and the super z is more like the rogue if that helps confuse you more in your comparisons Grasshopper is the only rear discharge on the planet that lays down a satisfactory cut. Still not anywhere near a side discharge, but it’s halfway bearable I only recommend rear discharge if your doing medians for safety, cemeteries to keep the grass off the tombstones, if your in a country that it’s against the law to side discharge, or if your older grass bothers you blowing in your face and you mow each yard 2 to 3 times a week would be perfect for you :)
Thank you sir! I have been back and forth on the X-One and Rogue for a few weeks now. I think your videos have steered me towards the Rogue. Now I just have to find one here in the Lubbock area. Wish I was closer to your dealership.
This is your best category or up of course. Grasshopper is the most reliable, and Scag is right behind, but honestly any mower in this category from any brand or nicer will be good for your yard :).
Yes sir I’m supposed to get some more r series this week or next. I’ll do a full line video again when we get all models in stock. Even the revolt sd is coming in
Really want the Scag but I also need a comfortable ride. I have some bumpy areas on my land. The Maverick seat seems like I’ll be perched up too high. Do you think I’ll still be bouncing around if I buy a Patriot? My only other option I’ve looked at is a “Toro Titan w/myride suspension but I’m not sold on the quality of Toro’s cut/engine
@@kgmowers Thanks Kevin. I recently test drove a Patriot in a parking lot, wasn’t able to take it on land. Hard to gauge a ride on asphalt. I believe it’s made of better material overall than the Toro and I’m def looking to get 1. May drive the 8hrs to Texas to buy 1 if I can find 1 here
My yard is a mess bumps tree roots you name it. Alter and hour and a half cutter you’d think you were sitting in a lazy boy all day. The seat is that good
Loved the bit at the end about the book of Job! I agree with almost everything you said, except for one correction his friends did not encourage him to attack God… Only his wife did that . His friends tried to convince him that he had done something wrong, or that there was some secret sin that he was hiding !!! But Job new that his conscience was clear, and that God is to be thanked both when he gives us blessings or when he gives us trials !
I know a lot of people with this mower. Some like it, more more don’t. I think our dealer stopped selling the Worldlawn I haven’t seen any there. We have gotten quite a few traded in at very low prices. I kinda felt bad.
I have a 2013 FasTrak with 350 hours. It’s been great for 10 years. My only problem has been the fan pulls on the right side hydro needed replaced. It was making an awful racket….$120 fix at the dealer.
The challenge here is when people see anything lined up next to it. It takes side by side to really appreciate what each brand does because they are all so similiar.
I bought the patriot after reviewing and testing multiple other brands Bottom line it cuts the best of all of them. There’s a guy that posted a 75 hr Patriot vs a new Hustler. Hustlers cut was terrible. Scag makes great decks and have that technology down
@@kgmowers not sure looked to be the same size maybe bigger than the Scag People I know that have had top of the line brands like eXmark that switched to Scag all day the same thing. Nothing cuts as good as a Scag
How does Hustler have best warranty? Bad Boy is 2 year unlimited hours… this being a full commercial segment, and average hours per year being used at about 500 hours per year…. The Hustler will be approximately 2 years because of the hour limitation.
Most guys around here if they are putting 500 hours a year they have the bigger xone or super z with 3000 hour limit. On the bad boy you can pay around 12 to 20% (depending on dealer) for a 5 year 3000 hour warranty which isn’t bad.
I would have bought the Maverick HD, but I didn't want fuel injection(EFI)- as EFI sooner or later ends in driveability issues and problems, which ya can't fix unless you have a special small engine scanner (c. $700!)..and the parts as expensive or more expensive than the ones on your car! Which is likely why Bad Boy only has a 2 year warranty (Also, who wants to be tied to the dealer forever..and have to shuttle the mower back and forth and leave it there?). EFI doesn't belong on a lawnmower- the scant fuel savings (if any) aren't worth it- especially if you're just a home/acreage owner and not a pro. Dirt and moisture + time = EFI death. If you keep your mower a long time, as I do, you do NOT want EFI. I can fix ANYTHING on a carbed unit. I opted for the Toro Titan Max (and it was $1500 cheaper) has double-protected scalp wheels too...only the deck is not as heavy as the BB (But heavy enough) and it doesn't have suspension/suspension seat..but I'm 62 and have been careening around on mowers and tractors for a long time, so I don't need a cushy ride. (It's plenty comfortable for me)
@@kgmowers True. Trouble is, 23 HP isn't enough for a 60" deck. For a semi-commercial mower, 23HP is a joke. Really, even 26 is pushing it. Really a shame though, 'cause I really liked the Maverick HD.
@@bobbylibertini I’m sorry I didn’t get to talk to you before. The toro Titan max comes with the kohler 26hp homeowner 7000 engine. It is the same motor offered on our $4699 Bad Boy avenger. If you would have stepped up to the bad boy maverick under 7k and got a kohler confidant 25hp it has tons more power and has double the life span on the engine. Then if you would have upgraded to the maverick HD you would have got an absolute full blown commercial 3 times longer lasting engine at 23.5hp the way they design commercial engines even blow away most 30hp engines like the Briggs cyclonic. It’s all in the quality and parts. Some people get hung up on hp. If you will mow on a 21hp kohler command engine 60” deck it would blow a 26hp kohler 7000 out of the water on sheer power and torque and juice to the blades :). I’ve sold several 27hp kawasaki fx engines on 72” hustler xones that had extremely powerful cut quality and power. Most of the guys coming in for 72” decks want a 40hp now 🙈
@@kgmowers I've actually heard that about the Kawa 23's. If I had been able to demo one, I would have tried it...but sadly, the dealers around here suck and have squat in stock...so that wasn't an option. I believe the Mav. HD comes with the ZT3200 trannies too- not that I know how that differs from the 3100's on the Toro.... BB dealer was willing to give me a fair trade-in price on my Grasshopper diesel too ($4K)...but I still would have had to put out $5500 for the BB. I sold the 'Hopper privately for $4200, and only had to put out $3300 cash for the Toro... Ah, I dunno- it was a hard choice. I think pretty much most of the mowers in the >$7K range are pretty good. Hey, I really wish I could've afforded a new Grasshopper, but even a gas job goes for $14K! Hey, this Toro can REALLY hold a steep hill though (and I've got plenty of them!).
@@bobbylibertini 3100s are homeowner as well 3200s on the maverick can last much longer for heavier periods of usage, almost twice as long in most cases, then the maverick hd had 3400s which are paired with the fx kawa class engine and is made to use every day all day long. You can see the tremendous price gouging that toro does by sitting a same priced bad boy, gravely, or really any non corporate brand next to it. Thats why it’s so easy to get much more machine from brands like gravely, bad boy, bobcat, hustler, grasshopper, Scag, etc because brands like Ferris, exmark, toro, wright, kubota, Deere, and the more “corporate style” mower companies all seem to be more profit driven than actually improving product and trying to keep the price down for the consumer. It seems like the big guys are forgetting about the little guys, and the industry is taking notice. Bad boy sold well over 100 thousand mowers this year, the president of Scag was in my dealership yesterday and she said that Scag has taken 25% of the entire market share. She is only the second president of any mower company that’s ever walked into my dealership, and that spoke volumes. She is out on her own boots on the ground visiting dealers and making seeing what she can improve on as a president. That one act alone has shifted something in our dealership to promote their products heavier, this was unheard of. The last top official to do this in my house was Robert Foster the previous owner of Bad Boy and Spartan and he not only came in he stayed for days at a time, and helped show products, taught people how to drive ztrs, joked and genuinely loved on us, our customers, and radically loved his products. We became the largest volume dealer in the world for bad boy mowers 5 years after meeting him face to face with 1 employee, then became #2 for Spartan mowers, and have continued to be a top dealer for Bad Boy every since. There were a lot of factors why, but the owner igniting passion in me for his product and him going above and beyond for me when I tore up my mower going down the highway when it fell off my trailer blew me away. For this reason alone I steer clear of the huge corporate owned mowers. Toro charged you almost $7k for a mower you can buy from a much more caring company with a heavier built 7 Guage deck instead of the rinky 10, much nicer components, parts, and love put in the product for $5649 from bad boy and would have also got a front suspension system to make the ride better. Don’t get me wrong, they all make good products, but if another company can build a better product for 20% less to the consumer, then they can do it as well in this rough economy. If we all boycott this companies literally taking advantage of people they will be forced to be more competitive and offer a better product to the consumer for a lower price. We have a dealer in town who gave up Stihl said it wasn’t performing in their dealership. Stihl is the same price in every dealership in the United States. We bought all of the product from the dealer for inventory. When we started unloading the equipment out of the trailer I began to notice price tags on each item. Each weedeater was marked up $50 over retail, each blower was $75 to $100 higher, chainsaws were $50 to $200 higher. It blew my mind how many people saw that and never stepped foot in there again 🙈. I will never promote a toro or an exmark ever to anyone on the planet earth knowing with all my heart a human being can buy a better built product for 20% less.. or get a waaaay better quality mower for the same price from Literally any other brand of mower 🙈
I will stay with my bad boy because I have a great dealer. They go out of their way to give me great service and parts. They have anwer any and all my questions I have on any things I needed. I don't need the Bible study then you giving Information about a lawnmower!!
I have found out the bad boy tires suckthey do not have any traction on hills they barely have traction in a wet grass and the wheelbase is too narrow and the machine is way to tall my old Hustler sport 54 inch cut went a lot more places then the bad boy and the deck left pedal is not the greatest it's hard to get the deck to float over stumps and stuff
If you have regular turf tires you may have to upgrade to better tread. The reapers grip a lot better. I’ve even put some hustler tires over on some of the bad boys that didn’t come with reapers like the Mz or the avenger. The best thing is to drop your air pressure in your tires. You can run 8 psi without busting the bead. I run around 10 in mine
I'm a fan of the regular old turf tires if I'm going to go for traction I would just put on some old four-wheeler aggressive I won't even use the bar tires that they put on the grasshopper and that's another mower I will not go anywhere near there's a grasshopper mower front mount I had a 727k it had 600hrs on it and I had to replace the gearbox the clutch several pulleys spindles belts oil seals and this is all in one season I probably spent over $3,500 Just in parts and

At
That is supposed to read Caddo Mills, Texas

Sir, do you have an option on which is better between the Hustler X One and the Bad Boy Rogue. Looking both units with the rear discharge. Thank you!
Rear discharge is terrible on both. I would recommend side discharge 100% or doing a 4x rear discharge 337 grasshopper or 329 or 335.
The xone is more like the rebel, the xride is more like the rebel x, and the super z is more like the rogue if that helps confuse you more in your comparisons
Grasshopper is the only rear discharge on the planet that lays down a satisfactory cut. Still not anywhere near a side discharge, but it’s halfway bearable
I only recommend rear discharge if your doing medians for safety, cemeteries to keep the grass off the tombstones, if your in a country that it’s against the law to side discharge, or if your older grass bothers you blowing in your face and you mow each yard 2 to 3 times a week would be perfect for you :)
Thank you sir! I have been back and forth on the X-One and Rogue for a few weeks now. I think your videos have steered me towards the Rogue. Now I just have to find one here in the Lubbock area. Wish I was closer to your dealership.
@@tjmartin223 you are local in Lubbock sir. We have a couple driving from Alaska to pick up their mower this week :)
Looking to get a quality reliable mower. What would you suggest that’s going to hold up best over time cutting 2.5 acres?
This is your best category or up of course. Grasshopper is the most reliable, and Scag is right behind, but honestly any mower in this category from any brand or nicer will be good for your yard :).
@@kgmowers okay great thanks.
Which one cut the best and leaves nice lines
Out of these mowers the grasshopper hands down. The hustler second, Scag then bad boy.
@@kgmowers how to I get a grass hopper
@@chrismiesner6973 send us which one you want, name address phone number credit score, and we can start shooting you apps if you needed financing.
Kevin has please do a bad boy lineup update video
Yes sir I’m supposed to get some more r series this week or next. I’ll do a full line video again when we get all models in stock. Even the revolt sd is coming in
Awesome man thank you very much sir
Any bad boy commercial walk behinds? 21” or 25”
Whats your take on country clippers?
I really don’t know anything about them. I had a buddy that sold a few out of Hugo, ok, but never heard good or bad about them.
I didn’t like the my ride it was a weird feeling.
The patriot feels really good. Maverick is sitting up high cause the flex axle suspension.
@@kgmowers Thanks Kevin. I recently test drove a Patriot in a parking lot, wasn’t able to take it on land. Hard to gauge a ride on asphalt. I believe it’s made of better material overall than the Toro and I’m def looking to get 1. May drive the 8hrs to Texas to buy 1 if I can find 1 here
@@kgmowers What’s your cash price on the Scag Patriot sir?
My yard is a mess bumps tree roots you name it. Alter and hour and a half cutter you’d think you were sitting in a lazy boy all day. The seat is that good
Loved the bit at the end about the book of Job!
I agree with almost everything you said, except for one correction his friends did not encourage him to attack God… Only his wife did that .
His friends tried to convince him that he had done something wrong, or that there was some secret sin that he was hiding !!!
But Job new that his conscience was clear, and that God is to be thanked both when he gives us blessings or when he gives us trials !
How would these mowers compare to kubota z422? Especially the hustler and maverick. I don’t have scag dealers near me.
These would be more like the 700 kubota
I like how you speak the Lord in a positive way. 😃
Yes sir He set me free and that’s the least I can for sure for it :).
Would love to see comparison to a world lawn diamond back xd
I know a lot of people with this mower. Some like it, more more don’t. I think our dealer stopped selling the Worldlawn I haven’t seen any there. We have gotten quite a few traded in at very low prices. I kinda felt bad.
Hustler all the way!! I just bought an older Fastrak with higher hours, no worries at all. She runs like a dream.
I have a 2013 FasTrak with 350 hours. It’s been great for 10 years. My only problem has been the fan pulls on the right side hydro needed replaced. It was making an awful racket….$120 fix at the dealer.
Better then Italian Mowserati.😅😅😅😅
The Maverick suspension is a novelty
I have a lot of people drive a stiff frame mower across bumps, then the maverick. It wins everytime
I'm a Bad Boy fan. The build, easy access for maintenance, and value. It's just hard to beat Bad Boy imo.
The challenge here is when people see anything lined up next to it. It takes side by side to really appreciate what each brand does because they are all so similiar.
How come i saw this video a long time ago but says 3 days ago.
God Bless You!
What is the speed between bad boy and Hustler and Scag ZTR
It depends on the class of mower. Most are the same
Like with these they are all around 9 to 10mph
Where are these located
Paris, tx
I have the scag liberty 48 inch. It rides way to hard . Go for anything that has real shocks .
You can add a suspension platform, or a suspension seat to yours and it will radically change the ride for you.
I love my 26 hp EFI SCAG tiger cat 2, but out those mowers I would be tempted to buy the Bad Boy.
But damn, my Tiger cat was only $8500 2 years ago. Thank you Congress and Government for inflation.
Lol power of the a 35 horse with a 26-27 horse. Makes sense
Maybe next year they will let us buy demos again and I can test that side by side
me too brother Job
I bought the patriot after reviewing and testing multiple other brands
Bottom line it cuts the best of all of them. There’s a guy that posted a 75 hr Patriot vs a new Hustler. Hustlers cut was terrible. Scag makes great decks and have that technology down
What hustler was it?
@@kgmowers not sure looked to be the same size maybe bigger than the Scag
People I know that have had top of the line brands like eXmark that switched to Scag all day the same thing. Nothing cuts as good as a Scag
@@davidd5712 I just saw that video with the sdx. Something wrong with that that deck cuts amazing when it’s set up right
God Bless
How does Hustler have best warranty? Bad Boy is 2 year unlimited hours… this being a full commercial segment, and average hours per year being used at about 500 hours per year…. The Hustler will be approximately 2 years because of the hour limitation.
Most guys around here if they are putting 500 hours a year they have the bigger xone or super z with 3000 hour limit. On the bad boy you can pay around 12 to 20% (depending on dealer) for a 5 year 3000 hour warranty which isn’t bad.
Job was given double for his trouble amen.
i like are Bad Boy 54" Kawasaki 726. Bad Boy Maverick is the best mower for bigger guys with a belly.
I second this!😊
I would have bought the Maverick HD, but I didn't want fuel injection(EFI)- as EFI sooner or later ends in driveability issues and problems, which ya can't fix unless you have a special small engine scanner (c. (It's plenty comfortable for me)
@@bobbylibertini the maverick hd has a kawasaki fx carb mower option
I will never promote a toro or an exmark ever to anyone on the planet earth knowing with all my heart a human being can buy a better built product for 20% less.. or get a waaaay better quality mower for the same price from
Literally any other brand of mower 🙈
I will stay with my bad boy because I have a great dealer. They go out of their way to give me great service and parts. They have anwer any and all my
questions I have on any things I needed.
